Thank you! Watching Jerry sing that song just after one last roll of the timpany drum every Labor Day marked the end of summer & the start of a new school year with hopeful expectation. His telethons have inspired so many people to give to others. Blessings to you all!

Thank you for putting this together and posting it today. I was looking for something to post to Facebook to commemorate Jerry and the MDA telethon. Now i found it. I miss Jerry and the Telethon. I watched it for over 35 years. YIKES! That's hard to believe. Jerry did it for 59 years. Yes, he was not a perfect person. He has his critics of course. Pointing at his personal life, his big ego and so forth. At times when he got to be the grumpy old man, I was like ok Jerry, enough. Still, I loved the guy and all he's done in his professional life and MDA. Check on UA-cam for some magnificent interviews with him talking on his early days in show biz, and the art of movie making. So intelligent he was, and he remembered everything down to the smallest detail. RIP Dear clown. This is for you HEY, LADY!!!!
