Don't get to see many oat harvest videos on youtube, thanks for this, I am going to enjoy it.
I agree. I saw allot of osts as a kid. Every dairy farm had a field two. It’s not very common today. It was neat to be in a 200 acre section of oats with modern combines.
@@bigtractorpower It is the same here in the UK. At one time oats were part of the rotation and every dairy farm used to grow them as part of winter cattle feed (rolled oats) but now I can not remember when I last saw a crop being grown. Its strange when you think about it as porridge is one of the UK's favorite breakfast cereals.
@@kennethgreen2829 In Poland we still sowing oat year after year, or mixed crop oat+barley as a food for cows or pigs.
New Holland is very popular in Poland a few years ago 60% of the harvesters and tractors sold in Poland belonged to New Holland.
But of course, most of them are not as big machines as in the video.
Just retired in may. 30 years building these fantastic machines.
The best combines
@@fab8657 tractors too 😁😁😁
@@johnnyhardrick1642 yep totally agree!
We still run a tr96 on our farm
We’ve always been NewHolland and Ford people around our Farm! Thanks again for sharing BTP
Very cool. I am a blue fan. I grew up by an all Ford dairy. They had a Ford 9000 as their big tractor and a Ford 640 combine. I like seeing blue in the field.
Thanks for the good comments.Great video
Great video! The neighbor who farms my grandparent’s land uses a late 2019 New Holland CR8.90 combine. They harvest corn and soybeans with it. It does a great job harvesting.
Love to see that blue equipment at work
👍👍 Me too.
Nice video love the New Holland Combines! ♥️👍
Great to see yellow combines and blue tractors working together👍😁
We run 2 CR8.90's. Ours are on tracks though. We're in Northeast Ohio.We just started wheat today. Will be planting double crop soybeans starting tmrw. We have 500 acres of wheat and 100 acres of oats. Nice to see other New Hollands working.
Very cool. This farm plants soybeans after their oats and wheat as well.
It’s always a good day when you get to see you some new Hollyn equipment working away
First New Holland i ever got to ride in was a TR97 I always had a special place in my heart for New Holland Twin Rotors and that's coming from a die hard Gleaner Guy!
Everything was beautiful.
Great day in the field. 😁👍
Great video. I love the New Holland combines.

Really nice machine
Let's see...8 likes, no views and 13 comments... sounds about right, lol! 200 bushel oats? I guess I have been away from farming a long time!! Great video, Jason. Quite the powerhouses!
Brilliant video BTP
Great awesome video, haven’t seen any oat harvesting videos
We use nothing but NH twin rotor combines to harvest our spring wheat, canola, peas and oats. We dont plant any crops in fall, our winters are too cold and would winter kill the crops. We used to run a TR97 and TR98. Then we upgraded the 98 to a CR9060. Now we just run a CR9070, but there is a good possibility of a newer combine coming our way this fall. Most likely a CR9.90
In Farming Simulator 19, I use all 4 big class 9 combines which are John Deere S790, Fendt 9T IDEAL, New Holland CR8.90, and the Case iH 9240 AF combines keeping 2 John Deere 8370RT's busy pulling a 2000 bu. HaulMaster (black) grain Cart. I usually harvest wheat, oats, corn, Canola, sunflowers, and Barley. Great vid as always!
Imagine More ever get the big white combine in farming simulator?
I was blown away when he said that it can yeild up to 200 +. I would have thought 30-40 but i know nothing about oats. Always wondered why more people don't grow it.
I was too. That’s 100 bu better than wheat does here.

You should come to Australia they’re about to be lots of corn harvesters
I didn’t know that corn is grown in Australia
So do you have to cut the oats closer to the ground than say wheat? Seems like they are running quite a bit slower than the combines harvesting wheat is that because of the increased yield?
Rye harvest is soon
lucas I live in Illinois too and rye harvest happened a month ago
@Kurter Kurter uh yeah so I know this is reply is late but we got pushed back by rain. We’re still harvesting rye. It’s raining today AGAIN 😑 we’re also extremely behind on baling the straw
So, when will you do a review for the New Holland CR 10.90 combine, if you haven't already done one?
Louisiana
Corn starting to turn color
Soybeans are unbelievable this year and cane [sugar cane] kicks off during soybeans season.
Spring or winter oats?
200 bushel oats?!?!? Never knew oats could do that much. Here in MN we are no where near that.
Are the pats going to horse feed or is there some other niche market for them.
Surprised that oat straw wouldn't be baled - great for animals.
👍👍
Our neighbours have six of those
Impressive.

Another great video from Farmhand Mike!! I have run New Holland combines!! TR 70, TR 85 and a TR 86!! All 3 were really great machines!!
Thank you for watching. Mike Less does a great job with his videos. This is a Big Tractor Power video you were watching.
The ones in Nebraska will be built in Belgium starting in 2021 i believe
Are soy beans planted in the oat fields like in the wheat fields?
💪
Claas and New Holland have the best high capacity designs. It’s to bad that they don’t get the market share they deserve.
It's very debatable to say that lol but the reason is because of dealer support. Easy to get parts if needed. Plus remember new Holland has to also push the red stuff. A friend of mine bought a claas and per the dealership the longest you might have to wait on parts is two weeks from Germany. That's insane. We call out local Deere dealer and they either have the part or have it next day. Support is huge and they just can't compete.
While that in part is true, it's remarkable that 1 every 4 combines in the world is a New Holland. There should be less deere combines for sure, since they don't really make a quality product like NH and Claas do.
Fab very interesting I didn’t realize they had such a good global market share.
@@cliffh8486 oh yeah new Holland is really big in Europe and South America
✌️✌️✌️✌️
At first I was surprised that there was a large field of oats in Kentucky but then realized the horse industry probably creates a demand for them and possibly a $ premium
These are seed oats raised for Southern States chain of farm
Supply stores.
we got a cr 80.90 and a T9.450 as well
Very cool.
Is the type of crop and yield the reason for combining so SLOW?
Yes
Yes. It is a thick 175 bu per acre crop.
Surprised they did not bale the Oat Straw makes great bedding and they recon there will be a shortage of straw this Winter.
A second crop soybeans is planted right behind the combines. The oat straw helps suppress weeds and hold moisture in the soil until the soybeans are harvested in October.
Isn't the combine operator missing one strip?
How do New Hollands compare to say John Deere, Case, Fendt, etc ?
Most crops better
@@laurieredfern8045 That's debatable. It's depends on the conditions. Operator who knows how to set the machine. What crop are they in? To many variables to say that.
New Holland makes the best combine. With a good operator grain loss can be less than 0.1%. Case makes a very good machine as well, same for Claas. And please lets not put the Ideal here: fendt never made a combine, so the ideal is the result of Laverda and Massey's experience on that field, fendt only placed their name on it. Therefore the agco ideal is an horrible machine, lots of grain losses and low quality product.
How many bushels per acre?
120 bu.
@@bigtractorpower Thank You!
In Norway in wheat we xan get up to 7-800 + kg pr acre
In Ireland wheat growers on average get 4000kg/ac. I grow organic oats and get between 1500-2500kg/acre.
Field cut yesterday 3rd year in organic oats yielded 2200kg/acre.
Price should be around €400-450/ton for organic porridge.
👏👏👏👍👍👍🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thank you for watching.
What are oats used for don’t see many in Kentucky
These are seed oats raised for Southern States.
I think maybe it’s Time for you to upgrade your microphone system it doesn’t always come in that grade
McDon, micdon

To many moving parts on a new holland
on the outside yes but belts take less power and are cheaper. on the inside case IH and New Holland have less moving parts than the rest.
