    Great video bro. The BG music is a little distracting (volume may be high) when I'm trying to listen to what your saying though but I got through it. Thank you looking at getting this

    I do not recommend taking apart this laptop, I am almost positive they overtighten screws so you strip them almost all the screws were way to tightened. I ended up stripped 2 screws on the heatsink even when using a rubberband. And now my makes a cracking noise whenever opening the laptop

      @@itsmike9227 its not bad using davinci resolve personnaly! It’s does not lags but I think you’re better with and m1 MacBook Pro for those kind of tasks because of the crazy optimisation. But the hp does the job for sure but there is better! And for laptops without dedicated gpu I think that nothing beats the m1 MacBook! My friend just got one and it’s amazing! Just a bit more expensive than the hp but not that much, at least where I live! In 3 years I am gonna probably get whatever 14 inch MacBook Pro exist with Apple silicon! But for now I love my hp!

    Is there any additional space to put an extra ssd or is the one of 512 that you could possibly upgrade?

    • @catherinegrimes2308
      @catherinegrimes2308 4 роки тому

      I have just bought the ENVY with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD and will be upgrading the SSD to 2TB. You can find the instructions at: ua-cam.com/video/Y-P1tCI0abE/v-deo.html I would recommend that you clone your existing drive instead of loading the OS onto a blank SSD because you keep the HP utilities and any software and data that put on the original drive. If you use a Samsung SSD you can use the free Samsung app Data Migration app: Samsung_Data_Migration_Setup.exe and Samsung_SSD_Data_Migration_User_Manual_ENG_v.3.1.pdf. This only works with Samsung SSDs. I used this to migrate the OS along with the data and data from a 1TB Toshiba HDD to a 2TB SSD, it was really easy to do. I think that it should also work with PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD cards. This software can automatically cope with a difference in SSD capacity. I don't think that you can expand the RAM beyond 16GB, but hopefully somebody will prove me wrong.

    Man, AMD is killing it right now. It's only a matter of time until they start jacking up their prices. lol, I can't help but feel like they're trying to bring in customers with high-performance, low-cost options and then once they build up a larger fanbase they'll start increasing prices. lol, I'm probably just being cynically though.

      I use an i5 4200u 8gb ram and this ryzen cpu blows mine out the water. I have like a 30% efficiency rating as a workstation with the 4200u. This Ryzen 7 has an 80% efficiency rating. I think it would be good enough to have a couple omnisphere and kontakt tracks without going 100% cpu so quick. I want one bad honestly. Really bad.

      @@faustinaosullivan7700 I ended up getting the asus rog g14 that has the Ryzen 7 4800HS (8 core 16 threads) and it's handling everything I throw at it! I'm loading up a dozen sessions of sylenth1 and serum with ozone and fabfilter plugins on my master and mixer channels and it's working without any stress. PS - I do all this while the PC is on Silent mode. Not performance mode. I'm pretty happy :D

      @@A5h3n. I think it can handle DAWs and plugins really well. I don't use omnisphere and kontakt so I don't know how much cpu they consume. But for sylenth1, serum, spire and ozone, it works really well :) I have the 4800hs version which has 8 cores 16 threads as opposed to the 4700u in this laptop that had 8 core 8 threads. Still, I think it's very adequate :)
