Idk how people feel but I think the rockets should trade for Ben Simmons. The trade would be they get Simmons and 23 first nets via philly. Nets get Eric Gordon, josh Christopher, Gary Mathews, Spurs get James wisemen, josh Christopher, cam Thomas, Tyty Washington and a warriors 2nd Warriors get Jakob P.
If you trade places with Tatum and Doncic, Mavs get significantly worse record-wise. Celtics would probably cruise to a championship. Tatum has 2 other all-stars and a very good bench. You could argue that Jason Kidd's coaching has been awful. There are so many things holding Luka back. Dinwiddie is too inconsistent. Sometimes giving you 20pts and others just 5pts. Hardaway is just a streaky player. Kleber and Bullock are just liabilities at this point. Dorian is good more than bad, but that's about it. Wood has been excellent so I don't know why he hasn't been starting, it's very frustrating.
@@ghost-qn2zo of course you can only hypothesise. It's not Luka's fault that the Mavs' front office has done nothing to improve the roster around him, so hypotheticals are the only way to compare Luka's situation with Tatum's.
Bro what people Miss is that the real problem isn’t the second option but the role players. Take the boston example. Take out luka and Dinwiddie for the mavs and Tatum and Brown like if they would be tie. Now check the rest of the roster, starter and bench. I don’t know if i would take 1 or 2 mavs players.
@@henry7486 he might be able to play a little bit more defense than a guy like Jordan clarkson tho and still have some good scoring nights that’s my thought process
It's a waste to keep moving forward with this play style. The problem is not the supporting cast, the problem is the Luka-centric play style. You can't win with your primary scorer also being your point guard, primary distributor, play marker and ball handler. What other roles are left on offense except catch and shoot? The Mavs are almost in last place in team assist and that's not good. This offense serves Luka ONLY.
Men so you really thing that luka has a good suporting cast?? Among the great players he has the worst team and it's not even debatable. Please tell me a mavs player that would be a starter in boston, bucks o suns for example... Who do you want to take more touches in this awful team, bullock, THJ, dfs... Come on Man let's not act like the mavericks outside luka are a good team because that's simply not true
@@albertovillalobosvazquez6676 I've seen teams like Princeton with not so good players beat teams like the Tarheels in the tournament becuz they ran a phenomenal offense. I've seen the warriors without Klay and Draymond struggle with just Steph and some rookies in 2019 continue to run a equal opportunity offense. People wondered why Steph didnt just take over and be ball dominant like Harden and Steve Kerr said "thats not how we play." Just becuz your team doesn't have great players doesn't mean you give the ball to your best player and let him do everything. THATS BAD BASKETBALL, and that's the Mavs biggest problem.
You could go in 100 different directions, but trade bullock asap and give Hardy some minutes. Everyone’s going to be really late on this but it’s clear he’s the TRUTH. The kid could very well be a 20ppg dude in the future.
Don't trade Bullock rn. He has close to no value. Wait until he has a couple of good games, such as what's happening with Tim, and then trade them both.
@@Jardermorder I'm skeptical he's even going to turn it around this season... Tim is on fire I don't think we should unless he's part of a Lavine package or similar
I just find it hilarious how the media Praises Luka for his play style but when Harden was playing like this they would crucify him, call him selfish ball hog.
Actually, they didn't. Get your facts straight bro. He was constantly top-3 in MVP race because of his play. He was getting crucified for his shortcoming in the playoffs. Luka gets even better in the playoffs. That's the difference.
WTF are you talking about? Houston Harden was always in top 5 or top 3. Also Harden is not the same as Luka, the latter has more offensive moves (reason why harden fails in the POs is because he only has two to three offensive moves), better rebounder, better at steals, better at def (although both are not elite in that category), better in the playoffs (a thousand times over), and a way better passer (Harden can pass but they are very basic give the bucket to the open man types of passes, Luka's passes is that of a manipulative tactician akin to that of Magic, Lebron, and Jokic). If you are going to compare a player to Luka, Lebron is the closest tbh.
Luka will leave. He is done carrying the the Mavs every year to the Playoffs and Conference Finals. If you are a Heat fan, Knicks fans, or a Lakers fan rejoice.
Gonna be honest here: I don't think Luka is as good as people think he is. Statistically he is pretty incredible. On offence he is damn near other worldly at times. But that's really all he's good/great at. Saying that he's a liability on defense is being kind in my opinion. He makes absolutely no one better for having played with him, meaning that most of the people who were good playing with Luka are better once they leave. Luka also doesn't have the stamina to play the style of play that he seems to demand to play. Every single game he is absolutely gassed by the midway point of the third quarter because of the load he's carrying. Luka goes to the bench and the team falls apart, so they have to bring him right back in. I don't know how the Mavs can salvage this honestly. You can't really trade anyone for anyone who will make you better because your team looks like a dumpster fire outside of Luka. So what do you do?
PJ tucker is king of underrated imo for being a great defensive wing even past his prime.
