I love Gabriel’s “bedside manner”.
He doesn’t come off as rude, careless or douchey like piercers I’ve encountered at other shops in the past. He actually seems genuine, knowledgeable and helpful when dealing with customers. Which is awesome and always appreciated.
I know, you'd think you'd see it more often among people who see this kind of thing so frequently right? Maybe piercing isn't the best field for someone who can't stomach all the bodily fluids, whether they're build up or not. You're tough enough to pierce and be pierced, but not enough to treat someone else brought up with different hygiene habits respectfully and with decency? I can't imagine basic sebum making someone sick who works popping through cartilage and fat cells for a living, but here we are.. excited that _one_ of them got it right. On another hand though, some people don't even know that some people gag at sebum until they get shaded, then they start picking up the hygiene routine, so sometimes the shading can be important. Other times not so much though, so take it as you will.
Yess! Piercers around my area all rude. I found two piercers that are nice so, they’re the only ones I’ll go back to.
Same problem in my area, not sure why peircers are so rude, must be due to the stupid questions they get all the time or people not following their cleaning instructions and then blaming the peircer for the infections etc.
I was so grateful to have a piercer like that for the first time (have had several piercings mostly facial) just recently and I've been getting piercings since I was 13. I'm 18 now. Got both my nips pierced and the piercer was very kind, made me and my friend very comfortable. I was scared because I've never had someone see my boobs and it was a male piercer, but he didnt make it feel weird at all! Got us laughing and eveything. Also introduced me to titanium. I've only ever been pierced with surgical steel and I've tended to have issues but I've had no issues with titanium!

I clean my earrings, piercings holes even tho they aren’t infected and are fully healed. i’m so paranoid of this happening.
For anyone freaking out saying “how do you let a piercing get this bad?” this happens super easily overnight. It happened to one of my nipple piercings when it swelled up and I woke up one morning to one of the balls embedded inside the piercing, I thought that the ball had fallen off completely so I went to push the post through to see if the hole had closed and the ball popped out, it was completely painless but I almost passed out just from watching that happen and I always take the best care of my piercings. All that crust is what happens when blood mixes with the lymph fluid from an irritated piercing and can actually build up to that amount within a few hours

Dang, just reading about this made me sweat I will never pierce my nipples or my cooter.
Happened with my nipples too which caused me to check and touch them constantly (pinching my nipples inwards to keep the ball from fully sinking in) before I could get to a shop to have the bars changed out for longer ones. Both the balls and bar I think were too small for the healing process. Ended up having to take them out after all that.
I want them redone though *le sigh* despite the struggle!

Right? And I don't think people take other things into account either. She straight up said that she hit it more than once. I know I've had a piercing get infected because I accidentally snagged it with a hair brush. It hurt like a mother to clean and definitely got swollen. I got lucky with mine, because the infection went away without needing to go in. But, she went in and got it taken care of.

I mean without being rude, they do usually explain the aftercare when you get a piercing, not to mention you should ask when you do get it done to make sure that you're properly equipped to take care of it. Also with all the resources today it really isn't hard to research and figure out on your own. That being said it's good she came in because Gabe did a wonderful job helping her.😊

I had my collar bones pierced, took great care of them no matter my depression or stress or life. My niece accidentally knocked it once and I knew to take it out.
There's no excuse for this other than dirty laziness.

If your fresh piercing gets knocked, take the damn thing out. It's not likely to recover. And don't get something you can't take care of. It's a literal commitment. You have to be able to do it or you get infections.

I never clean mine when I get them, I leave them alone and avoid tugging yanking pulling bumping. I have four piercings and it always works

This video saved my life! I had this same piercing and it got stuck inside. I panicked and went to kaiser urgent care. The dr said he only did open wounds and I would have to be referred to plastic surgery . They sent me home with the earring still stuck inside and told me to call plastic surgery the next morning not to mention I paid my $15 Co pay . Went home and looked on UA-cam ans found this video and my sister and I did the exact same thing that was done and removed the piercing . My anxiety that had been at 100 all day had finally went away . Thank you 😊

I had this happen except the whole earring was in my ear... and how I let it “get so bad” was it happened over night when I was asleep... I was allergic to the earrings and my body was rejecting it!! I’m surprised they don’t tell these people to go to the doctor...

I had my tragus done it's only 6 days old I always watch videos on how to properly clean it. I found out that you have to soak it in a saline solution for 10 mins 2x a day. Having piercing is a commitment and you really have to take time to make sure you're taking care of your piercing to make it heal faster.
Great job. You were very gentle and thorough. I might suggest that she doesn't need any more piercings if she's not going to care for them. That didn't happen overnight.

Right!? I just got my tragus and daith done on my right. Before the appointment I wet my hair and pulled it into a tight ponytail and made sure every single hair stayed in place with a little hairspray and then washed my ear to make sure no hairspray was left on my ear.

Jessica Marie me too mine is the one i change the most. No pain and i can sleep on that side now. I change it out like every day. I have a triple front helix that tends to give me problems but I can sleep on them. For a while I couldn’t but I’ve never had build up like that!
Jessica Marie I have had my Travis for a week and have cleaned it everyday and have done salt soaks every other day and yet I woke up with it embedded in my ear. Everyone’s body reacts different and I’m pretty sure my ear is rejecting it. Not everyone has the same experience and the girl in the video probably had a similar reaction
I've had my lobes pierced years ago, and i still take my earrings out often, to ensure they're clean. I couldn't stand having that much gunk behind any earring/jewelry
Same! I had my seconds pierced 4 months ago and I take them out every few weeks and soak the earrings in peroxide to clean them. I cant stand dirty earrings
I've had my ears pierced since I was 9 months old, as I got older I've added 4 more to each ear, I take them out weekly to clean them. OCD 😂😂😂
*I've accumulated 13 ear piercings over the years I've been living and I also religiously clean my ears and jewelry, I feel like that's part of my hygiene routine so I continuously practice it. If I forget some how I'll feel self conscious, I also do this with my belly button piercing* 😂😂
i had 3 lobes done at once w a needle on both ears and so now i have a total of 5 lobe peircings per ear. i got them done in december but they still haven’t completely healed and hurt a lot. i have went to the place i got them done and they said it was just because i got so many and that makes since. anywayyyy i still take mine out to clean them even tho it’s painful 😂

Some hair clips would come in handy to keep hair away from the ear while working around infected sites. Hair can be quite dirty and will compromise the cleaned ear.

EDIT : I got mine done feb 15th 2019, so I've only had it for 3 weeks. it's my fourth cartilage piercing, and it's by far the easiest to heal. nevertheless, this video freaked me out!!

It can be hard to tell if you get your piercing fully clean all the time especially when it's a bit tucked. I have to do thorough saline soaks and take multiple photos with flash just to make sure I'm getting the crust and dead skin (I'm healing a bump) off my daith to let it breathe.
My piercings are healed and I still clean them regularly. It takes one minute.

I used flaws to clean my piercings with peroxide and salt water once a day. I never messed with them either. I am prone to infection so I am careful. Also, I have nursing experience. I went to college twice to get a nursing degree and I got a master's degree in advance science and engineering. I love learning. I did tattooing for 15 years as well. I retired because of health conditions in my 30's. Now I am running online stores. I don't work. I am sick all of the time. Also, tattooing damaged my arm and back. Be careful because you can cause nerve damage if you do the same thing a lot. Make sure you move around between jobs and keep clean. Always wear gloves. ❤️

The back of my tragus is so hard to clean. I thought i was doing a good job until a small bump appeared. I was still able to get it downsized but the amount of gunk that was in the back was wild.

I took my helix out three days ago it cost me $80 and the pain wouldn’t stop hurting I had zero rest but now I feel better cause I took it out it been in for 6 months and it never healed now I know better n imma just get my bottom piercing next time.

But two years ago I had this one helix that just throbbed- not just a flare up, but ghastly pain- relief as soon as I removed it, only time I’ve had to do that. Got redone when it healed. But helix can be tricky. Sucks to waste the $ I know.

I've had my ear swell over jewelry just within a couple of hours, so that I can understand, but you need to go to your piercer like as soon as it happens. Buildup like that does not happen overnight though. It's so important to pay attention to your healing piercings

I'm glad she didn't try to blame the piercer. Sadly not everyone knows their bodies perfectly. She said she hit it a few times. I'm glad to see so many watch these videos & I really hope more ppl take a lesson from these & make sure they take proper care of ALL piercings not only new ones. Also, when a piercer gives an amount of time for healing it is a GENERALIZED time. Some heal faster & some take longer. Environmental factors will also determine the healing time.

She said she had it done a month prior and only noticed the swelling that morning I don't believe she noticed the swelling that morning she panicked was probably scared to go to a dr she said she hit a few times you have to be careful of certain piercings I have the same ones for like four yrs now you have to be cautious and clean with them.

You Make Me Laugh hydrogen peroxide is actually bad for piercings, and if you take care of a piercing properly (no to it at all mostly) you should never even have to move it around or clean it al all.
I had that spot get infected too. I think mine was from laying with my ear against my pillow and sweating in summer when I had it done. I took a safety pin put a lighter too it, poked a few holes next to eachother, squeezed all the crap out, kept applying peroxide and rubbing alcohol on it. It hurt but felt much better when the pressure was gone and soaked clean.

None of these should be being done at a body piercing shop. They are infected and the site is not sterile. Some of these people probably need an antibiotic. Go to a dermatologist to have them removed.
