Mission idea: 1 win in both countries and distance, but everyone shifts one seat to their left. Jim drives, Jake is flag guy, Matty chimes, Zack is on instincts.
I think that’s a pretty good idea
I would still love to see the salt/rage of it just being Geo Guys vs Matty in duels.
Best idea ever
@@e_eyster would love this lmao
"We accept defeat"
Hard cut to Jimmy with a physical globe measuring distances 🤣
I read this before the cut happened and thought this was an exaggeration, I could not believe a physical globe ACTUALLY got used hahahah
I like how they continue to never trust the clock in distance and just dont realize the game ends the round automatically if the player in last is out of guesses.
“It’s cool to look at the earth” needs to be the new slogan of this series
Dudes, looking at the globe of the Earth at the end defeated absolutely killed me. This shit is some of the funniest content on UA-cam.
When you repeated LimaGas multiple times and didn't get Peru I suffered. Then Lima was big on the map and I suffered more.
That was the most frustrating 30 seconds that I can remember.
Same lol
Limagas was brutal.
I'm screaming FRANCE into the monitor. How does anyone see french signs, guess Belgium and move on to Spain???
After the Breakdowns, this is my favorite shit you guys drop.
Never let this series die
This week's episode comes with a bonus lesson about calculating distances on the surface of a sphere!
Tough close losses on both distance games. And yes, the last one was a loss. Better luck next time!
Jimmy and Jake about to become flat-earthers after that last round 🤣
1:08:07 might be my favorite moment of the series so far. Also, “We got punked… ‘cuz the world’s round.” So many impeccable moments in those last moments
"if you ask Kyrie, we won" lmao
58:19 This is a perfect example of how maps distort the curvature of the Earth. The more north or south you go the more distorted the map stretches the pole to match the equator. The optical distance on the map is large, but the physical distance it represents is relatively small.
This is well represented by air routes. They go over the north pole all the time.
When they were trying to figure out the website at 9:20 and it said U.A.E. plain as day, hahahaha.
Desert-y island-lookin' left-hand-drive place will likely be Malta. I just barely learned that two nights ago. Evidently it was a British territory for a long time.
The manual distance calculations at the end were hilarious!
For the numbers guys out there (pulled from the exact locations on the map and point to point):
Vaduz4892: 2516 mi (4050 km)
GGG: 2668 mi (4294 km)
Love the new idea of 30 minute episodes with different goals. Think yall definitely found the new format.
"if you're not learning a million things a day.. then you're dumb. The trick is remembering at least 2 of em."
- Geo Jim
I will live by this for the rest of my life
The fact that Matty doesn’t understand the rules of the game is hilarious. He’s so confident that it uses your closest guess. It doesn’t
Jimmy: Keeps guessing countries that aren't in the game
Jake: Guesses country he has seen in the game before
Jimmy: HOW DID YOU GUESS THAT?!
Wakanda forever!
Love Jim still not understanding the rules of distance after all this time 😂
New video title: "Jomboy learns about map projections"
57:00 Mercator projection at work
The irony of them going through all this map trouble on their phones and conversions, only to end up on Google Maps, which GeoGuesser uses as it's database 🤣
The map is a Mercator projection, so the closer your get to the poles the more distorted it is. That farther north pin will be closer as the crow flies because the earth is actually round.
Is it wrong that I'm screaming at the screen when they say "Lima Gas" over and over and then pick Guatemala instead of Peru?
That and the Malaysia stop sign (and additional information on other signs giving region of Malaysia) where they were just in the trifecta area.
I feel your pain.
Lmaooo the ending of the two guesses be insanely close is hilarious
Being from south India, that Mumbai one hurt. Not blaming the boys just was tough to watch. That Kazakhstan guess was impeccable.
EDIT: just watched the last few minutes. The reason it looks like y'all got jobed is cuz russia is so big that the curvature of the earth comes into play. Meaning the flat map distorts the image. That's why when you looked at the globe it looked closer
i was yelling at my computer for about 10 minutes “THE EARTH IS ROUND” 😭😭😭
Rue = Street in French. If you ever see a sign with "Rue" (like "Rue Plumet" in Les Miserables) you want France or a French Constituent.
The guys get their Romance languages mixed up a lot
@@declana1359 Jake's the only one that can differentiate Italian from Spanish from Portuguese, still tryna help them on Romanian lmao
The conclusion of "well this proves the earth is round" had me rolling. and the jab at kyrie. hahaha quality content
How about a Geo God Guys battle? Each one picks someone else from the office to be on their team and see which team does the best to determine who the Geo God Guy true MVP is??
Jimmy and Jake vs Zack and Geo flag guy.
My money is on Zack and flag guy.
9:15…jp is Japan. That website is for aftermarket wheels/car parts. UAE sign was right next to it lol
Not even 1 minute into the video but this is the best series on UA-cam, hands down.
That Bolivia pull was impressive. Catching that the 50/50 gave Uruguay put you all on the continent, then getting it from the desert-and-mountains terrain was a straight up great pull.
In that last round it said he was 244 km closer with the final guesses. That would be about 151 miles so the 170 miles without being in the exact location seems right. Tough way to lose though
Mission idea:
You can create “maps” in the game by drawing out areas where it can place you. For example, I always went to ocean city as a kid during the summer and I would bike all over, so I made an ocean city map and crushed it. You could create maps of areas you know well from your childhood and try to get perfect scores (25k) in traditional geoguessr in under 5 mins or some other time limit.
I love when Zack gets annoyed
Classic Mode on "An Urban World" Map. with these limits: 2:30 time, No Move Allowed, Pan/Zoom is allowed.
Another idea is you guys create a map, and share the link and allow others to play it, then the next day you do the same challenge link. Then we can compare our scores with yours!
1:09:16 if you ask Kyrie, we won. Lmao
"Had all week to think about it" was funnier than it shoulda been ha
Survivor mode: for each full game you get knocked out, you have to vote off one member of the ‘tribe’
At 9:40 the company is a Japanese wheel company that’s why the website was .JP
Jimmy: LIMAGASSS LIMAGASS 😂 not knowing it was the biggest clue
Best entrance to the GeoGod room yet boys!!! Keep up the creativity
48:37 “If you’re not learning a million things a day, then you’re dumb…the trick is remembering at least 2 of them” 😂
India was only recently added to geoguessr, so not your fault for missing it. Also, Vietnam was removed. And Venezuela is not included (so dont guess those two)
Says “LIMA GAS!”, stares at map of South America with ‘Lima’ clearly visible and doesn’t guess Peru.. you’re killin me smalls.
This is the best part of my week. Thank you
Both those distance losses were brutal, I think as those Geo God Guys get used to using the earlier guesses' distances as clues they'll get better at those later rounds.
Great content as always! It's a treat to get a full hour of it.
literally said UAE on the side of the building. Rue is "Street" in French. slow start!
I'll comment this again. The round ends when the person in last place is out of guesses. That's why the round just ends sometimes.
Am I the only one who likes the intro of all of them crawling on the floor one by one ? 🤔
Missed opportunity at 43:19 - says "A Government of India Undertaking" on the top right of the building
"It's cool to look at the Earth" - Facts
I actually enjoy the ad reads for Roman lol You guys always kill it
Mission idea: 1 win in both countries and distance, but everyone in the group has to wear drunk goggles
So many great moments in this one, but 45:32 had me DYING
Mission: win a game while being linked the entire time!
How could Jake drive then? He has to use both hands to link
going for two wins in 30 minutes!!! *1 hour 9 minute video*
You guys need to play WORLDLE. Yes I typed it in correctly. Right up your alley
Funny how he says accept defeat and still keeps searching lmao
42:34 "It's English but spelled like people who haven't been fully taught how to read." Damn, Jomboy going full savage on the kiwis lol!
Damn those distance losses were brutal. Love this series, keep it up!
Moving DOES hurt you if you move farther away from the destination.
As a turkish person with "one of those commas on the letters" in my name, I am proud. good job Jomboy
Geo Guys: "LIMA GAS. LIMA GAS." Me: "LIMA, PERU!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Damn Peru was so easy when you guys saw Lima on a sign right away
12:00 I saw that dirt road and luscious greens and arbitrarily decided you were in Kenya, which led me into doing the PowerThirst commercial in my head.
The last 12min 30sec of this video is exactly why I love these guys and all their content!! #GoGeoGodGuys!
23:18 The Lima gas shouldve hinted you towards Peru. Lima is the capital of Peru
Great show, guys. India is fairly new to Geoguessr (don't think it's appeared in this series?) so that was a really tough beat especially in the final round.
I accept these guys' geoguessr dominance but it took everything in me not to chuck my phone across the room when they all saw limagas but couldn't figure out the South American country lol.
Check out a Mercator map, it shows true size. The maps you guys are looking are azmithual and become more and more distortorted the closer you get too the polls. Unfortunately no map type can present a sphere onto a flat surface without distortion.
I'm not sure that's right my dude. Tbh honest never heard of the of azithimual map so I think you've mixed the two up as The standard map used, I always thought, was the Mercator map. It shows Greenland as being the size of the Africa
Taken from wiki:
As a side effect, the Mercator projection inflates the size of objects away from the equator. This inflation is very small near the equator but accelerates with increasing latitude to become infinite at the poles. As a result, landmasses such as Greenland and Antarctica appear far larger than they actually are relative to landmasses near the equator, such as Central Africa.
Them staring at the U.A.E sign in the second round and then being surprised when it’s UAE
I do think that you guys got screwed by the distance at the end, you guys clearly won! I filed a formal complaint to GeoGuessers 😂
Love to see a struggle every once in a while. Builds character.
stone walls without morter (look hand built) usually = malta
Y’all need to test that extra guess theory with distance. I feel like the extra guess took you further away.
Mission: Win two games in a row. Could be two of countries or distance, or one each. Love the content as always!
curvature of the earth boys! keep this format for a few eps its great
at the end guys, the visual is deceiving because you are looking at a flat map. when you are far north or south the visual will be distorted. but if you take the closest distance on a globe, they would be closer. you can also change the settings of the game to miles.
The reason Distance is cutting out like that is because someone has used their last guess and they're in the eliminated spot. The time didn't run out or anything, someone was just eliminated already.
Also, blowing through your guesses in the last round like that doesn't make any tactical sense. Search around, your timing is the clock and your guesses, not the other guy.
9:35 it says UAE right next to the website😂
21:29 I have been in that restaurant and have walked those streets - that is Temple Bar is Dublin. Crazy moment
Even though the boys didn’t bring it home, that was a hilarious ending lmao
no way they brought the globe out 😂😂
"It's cool to look at the Earth" - James O'Brien, 2022. Make this a GeoGuys t-shirt please.
Oh man that distance round was a killer! Lost by so little
24:00 mark seeing Lima Gas and not one person getting Lima the Capital City of Peru in the entire game not even just the group is wild to me lol
Mission: play one duel, but everyone can only say words that begin with D
The fact that Jimmy can sing perfect The Postal Service lyrics tells me there's more to this man that we all know.
Gg u guys just keep winning
"It's cool to look at the Earth", Jomboy 2022.
y’all didn’t take the curvature of the earth into account lol
It's funny when Jake gets all hype. Bro you're playing 4v1 most the time
"It's cool to look at the earth" - GeoJim
the d sentence wasn’t run back!!
Mission idea: 1 win in both countries and distance, but you have to use at least 1 guess in each continent before it's over.
You want some unity building, you should do jomboy company paintball, go to a big course and duke it out or set up in the warehouse
I thought everyone knew hindi and a lot of other Indian languages used the line across the top of the letters to connect words for their alphabet.
