Love this series. Once they finish this set of challenges, would love to see them go to something like 60 minutes to win TWICE, to see if they can string together winning play!
i'm interested to see if they can whip out a dub without using the 50!
Or do a Weekend Series challenge... go for Bronze. If they can do that (which they probably could, its almost impossible to play 10 games and miss bronze) then go for Silver. Eventually go for Gold.
Anytime you see a street sign and it ends in straat, that is automatically The Netherlands. Straat is Dutch for street.
For future reference, if you see a street sign that ends in tie pick Finland. Tie is road in Finnish.
Ignore what I said about straat automatically being The Netherlands. Dutch is similar to German and straat is also street in German. If you see straat on a street sign then it could be The Netherlands or one of the German speaking countries. Sorry.
@@jimdavies7592 The double "aa" is always a Dutch thing as far as I know. Street in German is "Straße" or "Strasse" Also, if there's an "i" and a "j" next to each other, that's probably Dutch.
@@pbjbagel Thank you for that. I also thought the double "aa" was a Dutch thing. I was playing Geoguessr several days ago and saw a street sign that ended in straat that wasn't in The Netherlands. I couldn't remember which country I was in, but I thought it was a German-speaking country like Austria or Switzerland. That's when I wrote the reply. After thinking about it, I was probably in northern Belgium. I know they speak Flemish there which is a dialect of Dutch. Looking at a map of Antwerp and other towns in northern Belgium there are lots of street names that end in straat.

@@jimdavies7592 So, after playing around a little on my own, I would amend my previous statement to say that "eij" is the common Dutch giveaway. I've seen endings of "ij" in Slavic or eastern European countries as well.

@@pbjbagel It can be Straat/straat in Low German and Afrikaans too. Plus basically half of Belgium speaks Dutch. (And a tiny piece of France, at least traditionally. But if there're Dutch street signs, they'll probably be in French too)
Honestly, the last two eps feels like you won because your opponents suck but this one feels like a legit win and with 10 seconds to spare!

I love what happens at 12:09. The immediate guess of North Macedonia, followed by that conversation and ending with Jake asking “should I throw out a fake guess?”.
Amazing team effort. AA almost always means dutch! (Netherlands/ South Africa). Also, Krause's puffed chest entrance was a thing of beauty.
What an episode!! Multiple final appearances, extremely well played games, and a new geo god teammate! Gotta say, Bhel2123 put up one hell of a final round, that Tunisia guess was very clutch by them against the Tunisia pros. the boys linked up and got the W though, 20 minutes here we come!

Those Eastern European countries drove me bonkers for a long time. Here's a hint: If the language is obviously not Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Italian, but it *does* have the accents over the vowels, chances are it's Czechia, Slovakia, or Hungary. I have yet to be disappointed with that.
They also need to learn which European countries use the Cyrillic alphabet (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro). They gotta stop wasting guesses on these countries when they don't see Cyrillic.

In the Malta location, there was a sign that said "Valletta", which is the capital of Malta. Malta is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea south of Sicily & east of Tunisia.
I saw Valletta and was saying Malta over and over again. I am glad they got it.

Germany, Belgium, China and Russia have stricter privacy laws and are very rarely in geoguessr games.

That one comment you quoted at the beginning is definitely on to something. Last round is TOUGH, and people go FAST. In my experience you have to get a lot more aggressive with your guesses in the last two rounds.
If you look at the compass you can see where the sun is and that tells you are in northern or Southern Hemisphere

When you guys saw Valletta on the sign I was screaming Malta! And easy Singapore tells is tropical, skyscrapers, black and white sidewalk things, English (and Chinese also).
It's the highlight of my week when those Geo God Guys depart. Can't wait to see where they'll visit next.

Guys, I love this series and pretty much everything you do I'm a fan of... But you have 1 huge flaw in your game: languages/ scripts. Some signs just give the answer away and you completely miss it. The bus you were "driving" behind had Hebrew text (only 1 country in the world has that), a few times (not in this specific set of games though) you had the Greek alphabet. Only 2 countries in the world use it. This will help you much more than "flag guy". Get yourself a friend who can recognize languages and scripts it'll make it so much easier.
Think the team needs a language guy.
