Really? You couldn't tell by her reaction, because I definitely could! That girl was overwhelmed and speechless and she was glowing and said thank you so many times! Also her comment is pinned at the top of this video which she left two days before your comment... I'm not saying that she couldn't have expressed more but I can see that she had one of the most real reactions I've seen people give!!
@@mdCreationz Exactly, maybe she had a difficult time expressing exacting how she feels. I mean you don't have to be jumping up and down to express your gratitude to someone, a simple thank you (or thank you's) can go ALONG way. People need to realize that people express themselves differently. I am the same way as this girl, I don't have to be jumping up and down and screaming at the top my lungs to show my gratitude or appreciation for something.

Ren and Timmy brown me too. Most of the people sewing say they got confused too and some still do .some say they practiced by tearing up seams on old clothes and putting them together to understand. Perhaps I can do that!

Wowzza! What a beautiful dress that fit her perfectly. It looks like she had three fittings, not through the mail. You did an amazing job, just fantastic. His jacket looked so ill fitting next to the finally draped and fitted dress. I hope she enjoys the dress for years. You did a beautiful job with the finishing on the inside also. The Overlock is such an important machine. It's why I don#t sew a lot. I hate doing zigzags zu finish my edges. *shudders* By the way. what a beauuuuuutiful design and dress. and your craftsmanship is on point!!!

How did you maintain the measurements while draping? Do you start with a body form that matches the clients measurements?
She wrote at 16:27 that she adjusted the pattern to fit her measurements when transferring it to paper :)

I love to do all kinds of handcrafting and despite having an easy time with sewing, I have never tried to do a dress like this! You have inspired me to dip back into my love of sewing and creating...So very generous of you to gift your incredible talent and time!
I raised my fist and cheered when you cut into the lace at the front dart and finished it the way you did . I am sick to death of all the seams and flat hems in the pretty lace that is everywhere. Use the pattern in the lace, don't flatten it in a seam, hem, dart, etc! *sigh* Sorry.
Also I expecially liked how the stretch satin sat at her waist, or high hip, easing and looking more like a hip yoke than a cummerbund. Really cool. She picked a really grown up design and you made it beautifully. I am itching to style it differently, but to see it in person, I think the dress was all that she needed. I always love to see you sew clean finishes, never wrinkled with very little touch up needed.
I would love a tutorial on pressing as you sew. How to set the iron, steam? Temp? how to use a press cloth and when. How to finish off a project. I think I know what you mean by "clean it up" but a specific tutorial could really help me improve in this area.
Also, this dress fiber content? Poly? Rayon? both? How do you handle slippery fabrics without any pucker or snag? Why didn't it slip around? Did you use a certain needle or type machine foot?
Also i see you make magic with regular sewing tools, so I know it is your attention to detail and how you draft the pattern that makes the difference. I just want to see anything you make. Thanks for this event. I adore this.

28:03 that is the telltale sign of a real designer : a minor detail on a drawing, maybe because she didn't feel confident drawing hands, is interpreted in a useful way.

If only I could sketch. I have so many ideas for so many different garments. Only, no can draw. So, I've bought a dress form and will be using unbleached muslin to try to create my ideas.
