    Looking forward to seeing you try some different nail shapes Carrie, just me personally, but I do enjoy tip application videos as well as manis. Like you, I have short nail beds so I don’t see myself going natural anytime soon!😂 Always enjoy your content and I’m looking forward to all your new videos in the New Year! 🎉

      Thanks for the feedback Casey! It’s funny I see some folks with short nail beds using their natural nails and they look so cute! But on me it’s just not my jam. 🙃 thanks for the sweet words, much appreciated ❤️😘❤️

    I love this mani more than I thought too! I think we have similar natural nails based on your description and I constantly struggle with tips or builder or dip or get and all of it but I have thyroid issues and have been having onycholysis on my ring and pinky fingers so I’m focusing on grow back and taking biotin and collagen this year but tips really make life so much easier with these nails honestly but I can’t work typing as long as you have yours haha that’s talent!

      Thank you Emily! 🥰 it sounds like you’ve got the right plan to get your nails healthy! Tips are a good in between while you’re waiting on your nails to grow. I can definitely type pretty fast with my medium tips, but I won’t lie, I’m already much faster with these shorter almond ones! 😁❤️😘

    Very pretty Carrie! I am so excited you will be doing shorter nails! I can’t do long nails since I can’t use my fingers with them, especially since I live alone with high maintenance fur babies and have a job where I have to type sometimes. I have started using xx short tips and like the length. If you could do a tip removal video it would be appreciated. Also, like you, my stamping collection is growing, so it would be fun to see more stamping design ideas and reverse stamping. Thank you so much!

      Thank you Trinetta! I love black and gold! 🖤 I know what you mean, I could keep up with typing pretty well with my mediums, but I’m even faster with these shorties so far! Thank for the sweet words 🥹❤️😘 No definitely not a lot of press ons. I’m curious about them. I’d like to try them and I think they’d be great for my daughter, but I’m like you I like seeing them on hands. Plus it’s a whole different dynamic when you can do all your nail art painting press ons with your dominant hand…almost like cheating 😂 Anyway trust me I want to try them out but they won’t be my main thing. ❤️❤️❤️

    I was not blessed with nice nails. After doing my own nails for the better part of 50 years and attempting to be an RN, typing, playing various instruments, when I became ill a few years ago, the skin around my nails became so bad that I gave up and decided I needed to focus on having no broken or inflamed skin, so this meant high focus on exfoliating, moisturizing and protecting my fingers overall. I have been doing continuous care, overlays, corrections (8 ski jump nails and 6 extremely crooked nails) and repairs for the last 6 years without a break. Sometimes it takes me 4 days to do my nails secondary to the fatigue and hand/body pain. I do the nails because while I can't control much of what's happening with my health and the devastating effects, I CAN have nice nails.
    So in the end, lovely Carrie, you need to do what makes you buoyant and uplifted.
    Your style of nails and dips aren't my thing at all, but I enjoy you and your content because it's clear you find joy in having beautiful nails that you've created yourself. Whatever you choose to do and share, I'll be here for it as I'm able. 😍🥰💝

    • @carriegnails
      @carriegnails  Рік тому +1

      That’s amazing! I can’t believe you’ve gone 6 years without a break! Clearly you’re doing all the right things. I’ve been trying to focus a lot on skin health around my nails lately too. My hands have just been so dry lately. So I’ve been slathering on the lotion, then layering cuticle oil and balm and already my skin is looking less dry. I’m sorry for what you are dealing with your health, but I’m glad you’ve found some relaxation in nails. Thank you so much for the kind words! ❤️😘❤️

    • @Mir_Nohti
      @Mir_Nohti Рік тому

      @@carriegnails For me, the exfoliating has been the most important aspect of moisturizing my fingers to avoid the horrible dryness and 'hangnails' the lack of exfoliation causes. It was something of an epiphany for me to realize that it was the sticky cuticle UNDER the eponychium/proximal nail fold that was causing the whole painful ordeal. Now that I get it, I exfoliate once a week and use good cuticle oil and lotion all day long, then a urea cream at night. For when the weather changes and my body doesn't adapt fast enough despite protections, or if I manage to abrade or cut myself somehow, I use that gold peptide serum.
      I have several autoimmune disorders and now each metabolic process seems to be breaking down one by one as well. Liver failure, thyroid hormone and now insulin resistance issues. I'm sure that won't be the last of it, but I plan to find things to stay as whole as possible, kinda like the band playing tunes or swapping around deck chairs on the sinking Titanic. 😅🤣😂🤣

    I have the same issue with my natural nails, but I've never been able to get tips to not look super strange on my hands because of those issues. I have veeeeery wide and short nail beds, most of which are crooked, so I have to do a lot of filing and shaping just for the tips to get on. Then, my ring and pinky fingers have a strong apex naturally, so natural curve tips never fit properly. My thumb, index, and middle fingers have such wide and flat nail beds that they look absolutely massive and awful when I wear tips that fit from sidewall to sidewall, and I can't use sculpted tips on them. So I have to use natural tips on fingers 1-3, and sculpted on 4-5, and it looks awful. Sigh. Natural nails it is...

    • @carriegnails
      @carriegnails  Рік тому +1

      It’s funny, now that you mention it I’ve noticed the same on my ring and pinky. They just aren’t as flat as the others so shaping is tricky. I’ve learned to just kind of make it work but I definitely envy those folks with beautiful uniform long nail beds. But we can’t all have those so I just learn to work with what I have! But I does make me reluctant to go back to my natural nails. Thanks for sharing your experiences ❤️❤️❤️
