@Carrie G Nails I have! I put gel base and top on my natural nails. I use a combination of sticky tabs and nail glue to adhere the nails. They stay on until I'm ready to remove them. I use my orange wood stick dipped in acetone and touch it to the edge of my press ons. I just keep dabbing acetone with orange wood until it pops off, and then I take off sticky tab remnants. I love doing it this way. No damage to my natural nails and I can work on a new set with no pressure to finish. So far, no damage to the press ons from acetone.
I love how real you are, and have been from the beginning. I'm glad you found your groove again and that you feel good about it. I love press-ons because my hands are getting old and cranky, and it is much easier and quicker to do the nails on a stand and glue them on. Mine stay on as long as I want them to.

I love hearing other people’s point of views about being a content creator / monetization / etc… It’s such a touchy subject that it doesn’t get discussed often enough. 😢 sometimes I just want to hear other people’s thoughts and never get offended.
And I feel you on not being excited about some videos. Ugh. I’ve deleted my fair share of footage from my SD card because it just wasn’t *me*. I’ve even had to tell a brand that I couldn’t do a video/review commitment because I genuinely didn’t like the product, no matter how much I tried to make it work. Stay true to you. ❤

Don’t ever let anyone make you feel bad for spending YOUR money the way you want. For me, I don’t have the money right now to buy pricey products. But I do LOVE to see haul videos, new products and how they work. If you’re excited about something, don’t let people dull that!
I’m slightly obsessed with getting my natural nails to grow so tips and peel base, I’m all in. I obsess so much about the nails, I rarely do mine because I always want to wait until they’re longer or one grows back from a break. Finally just putting jelly tips on, even just plain, to help mine grow and have something nice on. ❤ sad to hear about your mom’s Etsy, I got one mat, may need to try to stage another. ❤

Would love to see a vid on the Apres tips. As Sandi mentioned below, the Jello Jello peel base is supposed to stay until you want to remove it with their remover. I purchased it, but haven’t used it yet. I want to see if it will work with mail glue as well as gel. Also, ignore the haters. You can’t change the music the world plays for you, but you can change how you dance to it. Carrie on! 🤣❤️

I love that these are pigmented on just the first coat. I struggle with pastels because I sometimes have to do multiple coats for it not to look patchy
I love using peel base. What I've found is that the air dry peel base makes my nails pop off super fast but theres a gel one called jello jello and it comes with a release liquid call one kill so they won't pop off until you use the liquid on it. I love it and won't go back to the regular peel base.
I’ll have to look into it. I think that’s what’s been holding me back from using peel base. The last thing I want is to have them pop off the same day. ❤️

I think that you are a wise lady with terrific co tent and tips on your channel. Nobody has a say in what's on your channel unless you ask for input, and even then, you have the final say!! Never apologize for talking bc you're doing a service with your talking in the videos. I think of you as the "Rachel Ray " of the nail channel. Your words are valid, have meaning, and teach others. It's obvious that your followers are loving what you have to say 😉 If I were you, learn from this that we love you and all that you put out there. If someone else doesn't feel the same, then they can change the channel. Whatever content you put out there we will love, but I do get as excited about unboxing haul videos as you do and it's not even my stuff! Lol Btw, I know there's a way to block certain words and phrases from comments and I would suggest you add those filters so the haters have less of a chance to get to you! God bless you! I got the Jello Jello One Kill remover. It’s amazing. You can definitely keep them for as long as you want by adjusting the amount of surface you cover with the base. The more edge you omit, the longer they will last. You just need to do another base coat on top if you don’t cover the whole nail with the peel off base coat. Covering the whole nail will result in nails that last about a day. I tried do the peel off base over gel on my natural nails hoping to keep that protective base, but it didn’t really work out. There is a learning curve to figure out just the right amount of peel off base coverage for the longevity you desire, but I’ve noticed a huge difference in the health of my natural nails in the three months since I started using it such that I don’t really feel like I need to build the structure of my natural nails up now. The One Kill is potent and will eat through the finish of most products, so a non-soakable top coat is required if you want to “make press ons” using the remover/base coat system.

@@carriegnails I’m sure you’ve seen Emily Susanah’s extensive video on her trials with One Kill. It doesn’t seem to matter what product you are using, but the prep is key. I need to do my full-on prep routine including primer for them to last. And of course how much you cover your nail. I’ve found omitting just a little from the entire perimeter around the nail keeps them on about a week, but my hands stay wet at work and I’m hard on my nails. I saw it used by JOUNAILS first and was amazed at how healthy her natural nails look after she removed her bonkers enhancements. Her videos are subtitled, so getting the good info requires your full attention, but clearly worth it as she does a beautiful job both sculpting and decorating. It looks crazy when she pries the nails off, but it obvious it’s not damaging her nails when you see the condition of her natural nails.
Oh Carrie I absolutely love this mani!!! Also, I just want to say I religiously watch your videos BECAUSE I dont feel like I'm being sold products. I do purchase products based on your reviews frequently because I trust your recommendations and reviews. I would follow your channel even if you wanted to switch it up and become more sales based because I just enjoy watching you do nails and getting inspired by your creative talent. Lastly, do not apologize ever for being authentic! It's refreshing and it is also what keeps me coming back. As far as future stuff....yes to all that! I have been doing my daughters nails over the past year or so but it is incredibly time consuming. It would be great to learn how to do my own press ons with all the products I have. Bring it all! Whatever would be fun for you will be fun for us to watch!

Never feel bad about spending your hard earned money on whatever you want. I love haul videos. I want to see all of them!! I do press-ons sometimes for companies I do paid swatches for or maybe a mani I want to do for a collab. I cannot get those sticky tabs to work well. I put them on, take my pics and rip them off. I am experimenting on using peel base and then gluing on the press-ons . It's hit or miss. I have not found the right formula yet. Lol I like doing the press-ons because I could use gel 🙂

syrup gels are semi sheer. this is still a cream or crème gel. but yes i do love just how “draggy” it is - i feel like with tiny crèmes, especially, their self leveling is out of this world & nearly instant. & i think it has a lot to do with the way the polish interacts with itself

You should spend your hard earned money on what makes you happy! I love the channel as is! I wouldn’t mind press ons but definitely don’t want those to become any bulk of your channel. I also would like to see you do some rubber base comparisons. I know you have used NKK and drawing a blank on the other brand. That could be an option for strengthening your natural nails, then apply peel base and tips over top. But overall I would love to see different brands of rubber base! I recently bought Esvy and In hype so I am looking to compare those to others!

If I'm being honest, not a big fan of press ons. At least watching a full dedicated video about them. Just can't get into it, and they are everywhere right now lol. At the end of the day, it's your channel and you can do whatever you feel like haha there's just something that hits different with an actual mani.

I’m slightly obsessed with getting my natural nails to grow so tips and peel base, I’m all in. I obsess so much about the nails, I rarely do mine because I always want to wait until they’re longer or one grows back from a break. Finally just putting jelly tips on, even just plain, to help mine grow and have something nice on. ❤ sad to hear about your mom’s Etsy, I got one mat, may need to try to stage another. ❤

Would love to see a vid on the Apres tips. As Sandi mentioned below, the Jello Jello peel base is supposed to stay until you want to remove it with their remover. I purchased it, but haven’t used it yet. I want to see if it will work with mail glue as well as gel. Also, ignore the haters. You can’t change the music the world plays for you, but you can change how you dance to it.

I love that these are pigmented on just the first coat. I struggle with pastels because I sometimes have to do multiple coats for it not to look patchy

I love using peel base. What I've found is that the air dry peel base makes my nails pop off super fast but theres a gel one called jello jello and it comes with a release liquid call one kill so they won't pop off until you use the liquid on it. I love it and won't go back to the regular peel base.

Never apologize for talking bc you're doing a service with your talking in the videos. I think of you as the "Rachel Ray " of the nail channel. Your words are valid, have meaning, and teach others. It's obvious that your followers are loving what you have to say 😉 If I were you, learn from this that we love you and all that you put out there. If someone else doesn't feel the same, then they can change the channel.
Whatever content you put out there we will love, but I do get as excited about unboxing haul videos as you do and it's not even my stuff! Lol

I got the Jello Jello One Kill remover. It’s amazing. You can definitely keep them for as long as you want by adjusting the amount of surface you cover with the base. The more edge you omit, the longer they will last. You just need to do another base coat on top if you don’t cover the whole nail with the peel off base coat. Covering the whole nail will result in nails that last about a day. I tried do the peel off base over gel on my natural nails hoping to keep that protective base, but it didn’t really work out. There is a learning curve to figure out just the right amount of peel off base coverage for the longevity you desire, but I’ve noticed a huge difference in the health of my natural nails in the three months since I started using it such that I don’t really feel like I need to build the structure of my natural nails up now. The One Kill is potent and will eat through the finish of most products, so a non-soakable top coat is required if you want to “make press ons” using the remover/base coat system.

@@carriegnails I’m sure you’ve seen Emily Susanah’s extensive video on her trials with One Kill. It doesn’t seem to matter what product you are using, but the prep is key. I need to do my full-on prep routine including primer for them to last. And of course how much you cover your nail. I’ve found omitting just a little from the entire perimeter around the nail keeps them on about a week, but my hands stay wet at work and I’m hard on my nails.
I saw it used by JOUNAILS first and was amazed at how healthy her natural nails look after she removed her bonkers enhancements. Her videos are subtitled, so getting the good info requires your full attention, but clearly worth it as she does a beautiful job both sculpting and decorating. It looks crazy when she pries the nails off, but it obvious it’s not damaging her nails when you see the condition of her natural nails.

I do purchase products based on your reviews frequently because I trust your recommendations and reviews. I would follow your channel even if you wanted to switch it up and become more sales based because I just enjoy watching you do nails and getting inspired by your creative talent. Lastly, do not apologize ever for being authentic! It's refreshing and it is also what keeps me coming back.
As far as future stuff....yes to all that! I have been doing my daughters nails over the past year or so but it is incredibly time consuming. It would be great to learn how to do my own press ons with all the products I have. Bring it all! Whatever would be fun for you will be fun for us to watch!

How have you been doing your daughters nails so far? You’re right, it can get time consuming very quickly. I started doing hers because our schedules don’t really coincide that well. So I can get them done on my own time and she can apply them whenever she’s ready. It definitely won’t take much in the way of additional supplies to do press ons for her! I will try to work some in soon 🥰

I absolutely loved learning on her nails as well as mine since I just started dipping in 2021. That’s hard because I’m usually gone on weekends and life just gets in the way. Never feel bad about spending your hard earned money on whatever you want. I love haul videos. I want to see all of them!! I do press-ons sometimes for companies I do paid swatches for or maybe a mani I want to do for a collab. I cannot get those sticky tabs to work well. I put them on, take my pics and rip them off. I am experimenting on using peel base and then gluing on the press-ons . It's hit or miss. I have not found the right formula yet. Lol I like doing the press-ons because I could use gel 🙂

syrup gels are semi sheer. this is still a cream or crème gel. but yes i do love just how “draggy” it is - i feel like with tiny crèmes, especially, their self leveling is out of this world & nearly instant. & i think it has a lot to do with the way the polish interacts with itself

I also would like to see you do some rubber base comparisons. I know you have used NKK and drawing a blank on the other brand.
That could be an option for strengthening your natural nails, then apply peel base and tips over top. But overall I would love to see different brands of rubber base! I recently bought Esvy and In hype so I am looking to compare those to others!

If I'm being honest, not a big fan of press ons. At least watching a full dedicated video about them. Just can't get into it, and they are everywhere right now lol.
