I am from Derby, and am proud to be from the same place as Sir Frank Whittle the inventor of the Jet engine, the home of the first factory, the silk mill, and we are still inventing here, in engineering Rolls Royce are producing small scale nuclear plants, that will be one of the solutions to climate change, and to entertain people we made Tomb Raider, and many more games.
They are the Romans, Version 2.0. Except, while they haven't maintained power over all their colonies, they didn't totally lose control & fall apart like the Romans.
You're right the industrial and agricultural revolutions, all the inventions had no influence on shaping today's world.I'm going to guess that you believe it was America.
@@FlbcImp if you are aiming your comment at me? No, im not American. The person who’s comment I first responded to can’t thank people for something he personally didn’t do, just like we can’t apologise for something we personally didn’t do
Unfortunately, the invention of the alarm clock made some people redundant & they lost their jobs. Which had been, in cities anyway, living alarm clocks. Each had a list of clients in their neighbourhood that needed to be up & out early to get to one if the multitude of newish industrial factory jobs. So, their morning routine was to go up & down the streets, tapping on the windows of their clients to wake them. If they happen to be above street level, no problem, there were long poles to tap with.
If you mean Hedy Lamarr, then no, she didn't help invent radar. She co-invented frequency hopping used in a torpedo guidance system. Frequency hopping was eventually used in WiFi and Bluetooth. She was also Austrian and only took US citizenship at the age of 38.
