@@anuraggusain5002 when I got my female beagle I bought a dog sized litter box. I put newspaper on the bottom and cover the newspaper with litter. She just went over and used it all by herself. When it runs out of dry spots I just roll up the newspaper and litter and put it in a plastic grocery bag with no holes in it. She uses it 99 percent of the time. I use small food bowls in a weighted feeder that she won't flip over. I also use a plastic plate for the dry food because she likes it best. I measure a full dog dish and pour a portion on the plastic plate. I keep the water bowl filled at all times and check it before I go shopping.

Hi Beagle Care, maybe you could also create a video on how we can train our Beagles who are living in an apartment or an condominium or for people who doesn't have backyard. Thank you!

I believe that my brother and I’s beagles have learned pretty quickly that they can’t go in the house, usually mine likes to lay in bed with me but she will let me know when she’s restless or needs to go out by getting off my bed and going to the door of my room. So I’ll get up and say “let’s go potty” and she’ll follow me or just run to the door that goes to our backyard. Although while mine doesn’t mind the crate(and still barks and whines when I’m gone for the first bit), she still hasn’t learned to go in on her own, while my brother’s has. All in all though, they are both very good girls 😊
When house training take the dog out constantly. Upon waking, after drinking, after meals, after exercise, walking, before bed - get the picture? Take the dog to the same area so an association is made that this is the toilet area. Pretty soon the dog will make the connection and even go to the door signaling that it's time to go. Praise the dog and give a treat to reinforce the behavior. No yelling, screaming or hitting necessary!

What is the point of taking your beagle outside once it already pooped it already did it what good is taking it out now it already happened and finished
I have a question, what if we have a very young puppy, say an 8 week old, how would i take him out, because usually such young puppies are not taken out to avoid infections.
Regarding potty training, what if I stay in an apartment and I can't be able to take him out frequently. in that case please tell me how do I handle him from not peeing at random places of the house. Despite giving a proper crate training, recently we are noticing him peeing at random places of the house. Scolding him isn't helping and telling him to pee only in the crate with his pee command also is not helping of late. In this case, please suggest me what am I missing here?
First of all, you should not allow your beagle to pee inside his crate. A crate is a place they sleep, and they don't like peeing where they sleep. If you are unable to take him out frequently, try teaching your dog to pee inside the toilet. And he is peeing on different sports because he doesn't know where exactly to pee. Use a pee-pad on which he had peed before and place it inside the toilet (or a place where you want him to pee). Now take your beagle to the toilet and let him smell it. Hi.. my beagle is 2mnth old... But she urinates alot... And mostly on floor.. we hd tried to take her to loo but she would play in there and we get tired of staying inside d loo.. and for potty she choose to do it in 4- 5 spots and after her every meal... What to do.. do u had such issues? Can we take them outside for walk in this age?.
I have 2 beagles. One learned in 4 months, never an accident again. The other one keeps pooping and mostly piing inside, she's now 1 year old. I can't stand it any more.
Yes ofcource you can start with the potty training, however, at such an early age expect a lot of accidents. Puppies have small bladder and they are more curious about their surrounding, due to this they are pretty difficult to train. Usually 8 to 12 weeks is an ideal age to start with housetraining.
We've been doing these steps for 2 months now for our 4 month old beagle and he is still not potty trained. He'll go outside and then poop in the house the minute he gets back inside. We even leave the back door open during the day and he'll go out and play for an hour and then come back inside and go poo. :( We've potty trained other dogs and have never had as much of an issue as we're having with this dog. It's so frustrating.
If you have a boy beagle and a flat backyard without trees or anything for them to aim on, they will not go to the bathroom without that. After you feed them take them out. They will learn that is the time to go potty. As soon as you come home from a shopping trip, take them outside to potty. Most accidents seem to happen 10 minutes after I come home and don't take my dog out. If they poop in the house, take it outside and put it in the area you want them to poop and that let's them know where they can go, it marks the spot with their scent. Put their water dish up and away (on the counter) an hour before bed. They will recognize the pattern and drink before you put it away and always take them out before bed Hope these tips help someone.

I have one question:i live in Brazil, and the area i live in is not good for going outside (cars, polution, loud noises) and also by the fact my beagle still didnt take all the three preventive vaccines, and to top it off,he tries to eat his potty journal everytime! How to potty train in this situation?

Hi, my 7 months old beagle always urinates when she meets other dogs. How can I prevent her from doing this? She is house trained too but she never follows it outside the house.
I think this is more of a ‘ marking her territory issue’ than anything. I have a fully house trained beagle who is about seven, going on I believe eight years old in the fall and when I moved to another location in 2019, you would have thought he wasn’t potty trained at all! My friends whom I moved in with had three dogs of their own so I’m assuming my dog was thinking hmmmmm, let me see just how far I can get. I kept telling him “No!” But he’d do it anyway. He’s also done it when I’ve taken him to other people’s houses who have a dog too. Stubborn lil bugger! But I love him.
My bestie rescued a female 5yo Beagle from the Atlanta Humane Society (she came from Envigo Medical Breeding Facility in Cumberland VA where 4,000 Beagles were rescued by the U.S.Humane Society) so with that in mind she's NOT potty trained bec she was kept her whole life in a kennel & just used as a breeder. As a result, she always urinates AND defecates inside the house esp when I'm cleaning after her accidents. So, HOW can we teach her to do her "potty business" outside & NOT inside the house? Please HELP!!!
First of all, you and your bestie are doing an AMAZING JOB rescuing a beagle. And I have deep respect for you guys. Here's a solution which might work: You will have to take it really slow. I don't think she knows the concept of positive rewarding. So what you can do is, first try to teach her some tricks, and use praises and treats as a reward. You can try simple and easy commands like sit and stay. Get some pee pads and when ever she pees, use the pee pad to clean it a little bit and then after a few hours, take her out for a walk and keep that pee pad somewhere on the route. Let me smell it and most likely she will pee there. After she pees there, praise her and give her a treat. Now your task is to do this 4 to 5 times a day. Take her out and let her pee. You have to make sure she doesn't get a chance to pee inside the house. For potty training, you can follow this video. Note down when she poops, usually it will be 10 to 15 mins after eating her food. So at that time take her out for a long walk and let her poop. Please let me know how it goes.
I m a new owner of beagle. He is 40 days. But every day we try to potty train it is not working. Also doctors have asked us not to take out for walk until 4 months old. Is it true
We've just got a rescue beagle x pup from Romania and she's not house trained. We've been working hard but she still has the odd accident. Have you any advice though about her peeing in her bed. We don't use a crate because she cries even with a stairgates between rooms never mind a crate! But she does wee on her bed! Also, if you have any further advice regarding separation anxiety and biting I'd defo be grateful. Hettie nips a lot, attacks my other dog and toddler and doesn't like it if she can't see me in a room! She even cries if she can see me but can't get to me. I want to help her settle. Thanks
1. First of all, whenever she pees on your bed, change the sheets and spray some perfume to remove the smell. Now make sure to not allow her on your bed. Keep her on a constant watch. Keep a goal to make her pee outside for a month without any accidents. 2. For dealing with separation anxiety, you will have to crate train her. It may seem cruel, but trust me it's not. Beagles love to be in an enclosed area, it makes them feel safe. But just make sure you crate train her properly. Here's how you can do it: beaglecare.com/crate-train-beagle/ 3. And about the nipping, if she is a young puppy, then it's quite normal. Every time she bits you, say "NO" and redirect her behavior to a toy. You can even make a low pitch screaming noise when she bites.
My beagle poops inside the house only when I take him outside he doesn’t poop outside. When we come back from walk he poops in our garden. No one goes in the garden because he poops and pees in the garden. I guess he does this because when we was little we used to pick him up and run to the garden. Please help me
Correcting your beagle's behavior will take some patience and consistency, but here's a simple plan you can follow: Routine is Key: Dogs love routines. Try to take your beagle out for walks at the same times each day. This helps him understand when it's time to go outside. Positive Reinforcement: When he does poop outside during walks, make a big deal out of it! Give him treats and lots of praise. This will help him understand that going outside is a good thing. Supervision in the Garden: When you're in the garden, keep a close eye on him. If he looks like he's about to poop, gently interrupt him and take him for a quick walk outside. Then, if he poops outside, reward him! Limit Access to the Garden: For now, try to limit his access to the garden unless you can supervise him. This will help break his habit of using the garden as a bathroom. Clean Up the Garden: Make sure to clean up any poop in the garden so he's less likely to go there again. Dogs often like to go in the same spot. Patience: Remember, changing a dog's habit takes time. Be patient and consistent with your training.
my beagle is 6 weeks old and we've been advised by our vet, not to take him out anywhere untill he's 3 months old because there are a lot of pet dogs in our society. When and how do we start training him?
You can start crate training your beagle as soon as possible. However, at such a young age he may pee/poop inside the crate. So it's always better to start with crate training once he learns to hold his blader.
Basically an hour for each month. At night, we put ours in the crate but at least one of us woke at least every 3 hours. We try to stay on schedule for potty breaks. He's six months old, and has only recently regressed a little because of puberty. We started to re-limit (a section of first floor, not whole first floor and zero second) his roaming areas and using a belly band. This week (Wed) he's only peed in the house once. He only pees in his crate if we leave in over three or four hours. Then again, his crate is probably a little big. We've tried command words but I don't think we're consistent enough. I work from home, so when he indicates "out", we let him go. Before I leave, I send him out, if he doesn't go, he doesn't but I try to watch my time gone. As soon as I'm home he's out.
Thanks for the advice however the beagle you show is an older dog. Puppies do not stand still, do not know how to walk on a leash and will NOT sit patiently while you put their food down for them to eat. You need a really puppy for your videos to show what they are really like.
You need to put leash on your puppy hold them near the bowl giving command to stay , patient and consistent commands will always give good results, Done it for fifty years hope that helps !
Surinder Gill , thanks for the advice but you're telling a new puppy to stay. They don't know what that means, they don't know how to sit and they don't know how to wait. My "new puppy" was 4 months old, a hunting beagle and had never been in a house. I got two, we are still working on wait, stay and walking on a leash.
Please help me, My beagle puppy 6 Months old he pee more than 10 times in a day & Poo more than 5 times a day...sometimes he pee in the bed ....why he pee & Poo so many times....how can i train him???
I only feed my beagle once in the morning. He poops at least 5 times a day and usually twice at night. He's able to roam freely outside for at least 5 hours. Idk what else to do.
Hey there. Any tips on how to train my beagle puppy to signal me when he wants to pee/potty? we are having a plan of going on a long drive in car and we don't want to keep him in any boarding areas. we want to take him along with us as it would be for many days. our plan is to go by car and we are puzzled on how to train him during the journey. it would be around 8hours of car journey. need your inputs on the same. TIA :)
Long Car journeys can be tough for any dog. I recently took my beagle for 16 hours long drive and here's what I learn: 1. Take short breaks every 2 hours. Get your beagle out and allow him to stretch. 2. A week before the journey, start training your beagle to pee on Pee Pads. And when you take short breaks in between the journey, keep the pee pad on the ground. It will be like a clue for him to pee. It works! 3. Don't allow him to drink a lot of water at once. Give him some water after he is done peeing. And keep the car temperature cool enough so that he doesn't dehydrate. 4. Find out whether your dog has motion sickness. If he does then contact your vet.
@@BeagleCare Hey thanks for sharing your personal experience . 1st point is a good option to try and walk him around for a pee. 2. I doubt the peepad with my kiddo. he still has the habit of tearing things apart. I will still try that one. and do u think that "OUT!PetCare House training aid for puppies" work. it is a liquid spray to spray on areas where we want him to pee. 3. Sure. duly noted. :) 4. How to find this out if he has a motion sickness? what are the symptoms of that?

Yes ofcource you can start with the potty training, however, at such an early age expect a lot of accidents. Puppies have small bladder and they are more curious about their surrounding, due to this they are pretty difficult to train. Usually 8 to 12 weeks is an ideal age to start with housetraining.
@@BeagleCare Thank you, that was really helpful...😊
We have a new beagle names Bailey too!!!

Mine is pooping in the house he’s not stoping it
We've been doing these steps for 2 months now for our 4 month old beagle and he is still not potty trained. He'll go outside and then poop in the house the minute he gets back inside. We even leave the back door open during the day and he'll go out and play for an hour and then come back inside and go poo. :( We've potty trained other dogs and have never had as much of an issue as we're having with this dog. It's so frustrating.
your videos are amazing, please more videos
My female beagle puppy is 2 months old. Is it too early to train her now?
Saludos desde España Alicante, nosotros también tenemos un beagle, son unos perros en cantador
How many hours can we keep a dog home alone.and where should we mostly keep them in the cage ,room or outside??
If you have a boy beagle and a flat backyard without trees or anything for them to aim on, they will not go to the bathroom without that.
After you feed them take them out. They will learn that is the time to go potty.
As soon as you come home from a shopping trip, take them outside to potty. Most accidents seem to happen 10 minutes after I come home and don't take my dog out.
If they poop in the house, take it outside and put it in the area you want them to poop and that let's them know where they can go, it marks the spot with their scent.
Put their water dish up and away (on the counter) an hour before bed. They will recognize the pattern and drink before you put it away and always take them out before bed
Hope these tips help someone.
thank you
help me please I want my baby beagle to do my command but he did not do my command and I want him to NOT pee on his own little towel and HE keeps DOING THAT how to I stop him and he does poop on anything and sleeps everywhere
I have one question:i live in Brazil, and the area i live in is not good for going outside (cars, polution, loud noises) and also by the fact my beagle still didnt take all the three preventive vaccines, and to top it off,he tries to eat his potty journal everytime! How to potty train in this situation?
I don’t have a puppy I have a 2 1/2 year old rescue mixed beagle. We haven’t had him long 2 1/2 months. He is pooping inside and pottying lately. Also eating poop
Eating poop is due to lack nutrients in his body
But I love him.
hey my beagle is 5 months old I tried this a lot of times? why? can u pls explain
@@YasTheTechie ive been doing this and my beagle isn’t catching on 😭😭😭😭 she still hasn’t figured out that she needs to TELL ME that she needs to potty

Here's a solution which might work:
You will have to take it really slow.
Can I do this even if my beagle is 2 years or more?
my beagle puppy is just 54 days now. can i start potty training from now ?
YOu can start at any time.
Here's how you can do it: beaglecare.com/crate-train-beagle/
Please help me
Correcting your beagle's behavior will take some patience and consistency, but here's a simple plan you can follow:
Routine is Key: Dogs love routines.
Do I need to get a create? I have a 15 week old beagle

My beagle is almost 1 and she still hasn’t grasped the concept of going potty outside 😭 I’ve tried everything !!!!
Be consistent and don't give up.
Same here.
my beagle is 6 weeks old and we've been advised by our vet, not to take him out anywhere untill he's 3 months old because there are a lot of pet dogs in our society. When and how do we start training him?
How often should my four month old female beagle go potty?
Is it okay if i bring her walk to potty training when she is 2 months old? :(
What is the right age for a beagle for crate training and also how to remove ticks. My beagle is just 33 days
My beagle is 8 years old, and she will not go potty on a leash, any advice to make her go on a leash, can she be trained at 8 years old?
Dogs can be trained at any age. You just need to be patient and keep trying.
My dog can pee in the same spot he supposes to, but on the other hand, he always messes around with his poop around the house. Any solution?
Does a beagle poop more due to moving to a new place
My dog is 9 months old and still jsut wont learn I’m getting frustrated but I’ll keep trying
Keep trying everyday.
You start obedience training in puppy age I don’t see why a puppy don’t have some basic obedience
Beagles are such a naughty & cutie i have one
My beagle doesn’t stay in his crate what should I do ?🤔🤔

Please help me, My beagle puppy 6 Months old he pee more than 10 times in a day & Poo more than 5 times a day...sometimes he pee in the bed ....why he pee & Poo so many times....how can i train him???
Follow all the steps in the video for couple of months.
I only feed my beagle once in the morning. He poops at least 5 times a day and usually twice at night. He's able to roam freely outside for at least 5 hours. Idk what else to do.
He also poops in his crate and lays in it. He doesn't care 😂
I need your help
Can u make a video about crate training your beagle plzz
I recently took my beagle for 16 hours long drive and here's what I learn:
3. Sure. duly noted. :)
4. How to find this out if he has a motion sickness? what are the symptoms of that?
My 6 month old beagle never fails to pee and poop inside the crate regardless of how many times we take him out, feed him in the crate, etc. there are days where we take him out sooooo often and he still manages to poop in the crate. It’s a nightmare to clean every day 😒

My beagle baby still isn't fully trained, but at 1yr old we got a pyr/need mix and she has taught him how to go out. 3 yr old now and wish we didn't get him as an only pup. Beagle wouldn't shut up when crated, so gave up on it. Beagle potty problems? Get another dog (if he's alone), really!!
sadly my beagle can’t go outside because he is so small (2month) he will be allowed when he gets 3 month old
Yeah, take him outside once all his vaccinations are completed.

At what age should I start training my female Beagle?
You should start with basic training of your beagle as soon as you bring her home. However, the potty training can wait until they are 3 months old.
Is there any specific age for training
3 months you can start training them.
Her “take your beagle outside right now because she pooped”
My teacher “take yourself outside right NOW cos you Want to go to the toilet
We always feed same time. Reward everytime they go outside. Is never alone. Is outside very frequently. After 3 weeks still having accidents. Like humans, sure they all have different personalities. But it is a complete joke to claim you can easily train them in 7 days. Some may get it in a couple days, some may never get it.
