No punchole and 3.5mm is present. Also 21:9 seems like a good screen size im sold. Why not all manufacturers get rid of notches drops and holes, they look ugly
tbh i wouldnt mind a punchhole with such a large screen. most videos you will watch are 16/9 anyway. if the phone becomes more small with less bezels i personaly would love it if sony did that haha
I wish the video stabilization is on par with the competition and the auto focus is smooth in the cinema pro app. I find I'm using 24 mm more than 16 and 70 mm. The phone is beautiful. No doubt about it.
Using the normal camera app the stabilisation is definitely better than on CinemaPro. Focus pulls on CinemaPro can be very smooth when done manually and setting the correct time. But yeah I would like CinemaPro even with a crop to allow optionally a better stabilisation and have auto ISO enabled when recording. A virtual or physical ND-Filter would be also cool to have
@@lltechview The basic camera app is so bland that the normal users got literally no features to enjoy. Lacks time lapse, dedicated macro mode and other fun effects. I like the focus puller. A very neat feature. I also find the auto focus a hit or miss at times. Sony gotta bring better video stabilization to the native app and pro app. It is nowhere near Apple or Samsung level of video stabilization. TBH I hate to carry a gimball. Not sure if you know this, I read from Sony''s website that they incorporated a dedicated hybrid stabilization for Xperia 1 II, but not for the 5 II. That must explain the quality. An auto ISO would be nice. Then again ISO in smartphones are terrible because of the small sensors used. They elevate the noise levels like crazy and softens the entire image details. I don't go beyond ISO 200.
Hello. How are you? In terms of front & rear camera quality, general performance & battery life would you still buy this Xperia 5ii in 2021 or a better speced Galaxy S20 FE5G if they were on the same price range? (£400-£500 on eBay Used/Mint)
Mate go with Xperia 5ii if you want something creative from the cameras and go with with s20 fe 5g if want good point and shoot camera performance and other things are same in both only extra s20 fe 5g got is wireless charging and whereas Xperia got headphone jack and stock android.
The ultrawide on the Xperia 5 II is reported to have a bit better lense than the Xperia 1 II. Less distortion and more sharpness in the corners. So not the same performance as on the 1 II Be aware that "turning on dark mode" only in night time scenarios. Otherwise it might be bad for your eyes. So it is not only astetic. Human eyes are by default configured to read black on white and are optimized for it. As long as you don't have any defects in your eyes leave Dark Mode turned off by default and only enable it for battery saving (Sony does this by default when battery level is under 15% or 20%) or in night time when in a dark room so you don't stare at a bright screen.
I'm planning on buying one too, so I just wanted to ask did you have any problems in your daily use running apps: default system apps/ and NETFLIX (many people complained about it) and sorry for my bad english
Great video. But I've noticed you have managed to hide the carrier name in the notification bar... how did you do this? Speaking to Sony they have been insistent it's not possible to do :/
Hello. Might I ask comparing the Xperia 5ii and say the OnePlus 8T or Galaxy S20 FE which one you think has better performance overall, louder speakers, better Battery life and overall better front & rear camera systems in terms of dynamic range, clearer audio when recording video, more warmer, more natural colours ,wider field of view in selfies (& rear cameras) ,less noise with zooming in and better low light photos?
I would say in terms of performance, they are all very similar, speaker wise, the Xperia 5ii may not be the loudest but they are definitely the best sounding (also Dolby Atmos increases the loudness and quality), rear cameras is probably a win for the Xperia 5 ii, if you're willing to mess around with the settings to find the perfect fit for you, which you can then save. Sony has natural colour and isn't as vibrant as other flagships due to its natural approach, though again you can probably change that through experimenting with the settings. In terms of low light, the Sony probably isn't the best but isn't bad either. Personally, I would go for the Sony out of the three mentioned, but it's personal preference.
My Sony Xperia 5II is really really weird. The image is dark and awful in every screen. The brightness is really mediocre, probably the worst I ever saw in a smartphone over $150. But mysteriously in the "image quality settings" the screen looks better and brighter. It's that crazy. Only on that page. And no matters what I select there, once I leave that page everything else is darker. I have the adaptive brightness turned off since I received this phone and the brightness set on maximum always, still, I never saw a smartphone with such a bad and dark screen. It's insane. Is there any way to make the screen work like in the "image quality settings" everywhere?
I'm pretty sure V30 is of no problem as I'm using one. You need a 4K compatible micro sd with fast data read and write speeds should you choose to store those 4K 120fps files in your external storage.
it doesnt charge the battery at all then or very very very slow? cause i can imagine you want to charge it otherwise you dont use the usb c but you want to keep the system cool
that extra key for google assistant is programable? instead of assistant could use as screenshot shutter or app launcher? or is just and onlye for the assistant?
First thing I did was... Try it for 13 days, then sent it back. My first Sony since the Z3 and a massive let down. Apart from the touch screen not working at the outer edges, it's just so far behind other premium phones. The camera is great but only if you want to spend 5 mins setting up each shot. If you ever want point + shoot, forget it. Night mode, forget it. Seeing your screen in sunlight, forget it.
That is so true the camera bit annoy me.. Point and shoot is so true.. And another thing is that on call the screen turns on and your ear keep pressing button to mute or end the call
They seem to have removed the NFC quick toggle from the drop down menu.I wish it was still there. I don't think there is a way to get it added either. I hope they add it back.

Is it possible to install dual apps? E.g: 2 whatsapp applications run simultaneously?
Do you know, how i can deactivate retail demo from Xperia 5ii or Xperia 1ii?
666 likes - hell yeah
Get rid of the google search bar lol, that's what i did...
How did you get rid of it id love to remove it not sure how. please let me know cheers mate.
Does it have dual sims and dedicated microsSD slot ?
Yes.
There is an additional slot on the sim tray where u can insert either an extra sim or a micro SD. Not both at the same time
Can you pls suggest me a good online store to buy this mobile ?

1st time I don't feel bored with a techy UA-camr explaining new product. Straight to the point and informative ....thanks ya Basha :)
thank you. Glad you enjoyed it
Nice info for the Sony Xperia 5 ii users.👍

Why the heck you have 154k subs 😕 it should've been 154M
I feel like you like this model a lot, not many took the time to really appreciate the meaning and design, also de target of this device
So glad I got one. No notch or hole in screen. The speakers and audio are on another level. And the headphone jack😊 a premium feature in 2020

Great video TK. Sorry if I missed it but can you output with hdmi to a capture card?
Cheers.
As far as I know - yes. Sony rolled out an update so that it could both send output via HDMI and capture it (work like a monitor connected via HDMI).

Sir please help. I can't download sony album or sony Gallery in my 5 mark 2!!!!
I am currently deciding between the 5ii and 1ii. If price isn’t an issue...which one would you get and why?
For me after having a 90hz display no way i go back to 60. So 5mk2 all day long
for me google pixel 5 or 5 ii
Step 1.. Deactivate all useless apps. Step 2 install Nova Launcher.. Thank me later.

Agree! Keep the tempo down.
Meanwhile I watched this at 1.5x speed lol

It's not AMOLED it's OLED display
Is it certified for wifi calling on TMoble? Total sony fail if it doesn't, making it just a tablet for 98M USA customers.
It is.
