Thank you Hair Buddah, for saying that about Sally employees. I use to work there, and we are actually fairly well trained. However, if you don't tell us the truth, then we can't help you. And NOBODY told the truth lol.
I've never been to a Sally shop but I'm thinking that people who go there may not know what they're doing....and when they ruin their hair, they say 'oh those people at Sally's don't know anything!'😢
So it's not that she doesn't have money to go to a hairdresser, it's for the views. When she started mentioning "good content", that told me that she wants to go viral. She tries too hard to be quirky-funny.
Macon Reid Obsession with beauty trends and things seen on social media it looks good on her it'll look good on me too. You have to go with skin tone make sure it will look right before doing it too many don't and wind up miserable
Oh yeah. I spent 3 years of high school in the 99s with the Winona Ryder Pixie cut and it was an investment. To keep that haircut cute I had to have done professionally every 2 to 3 weeks. I see so many of these videos and they dint consider the long term implications of this hairstyle. If you want a trendy haircut you better be prepared to pay the price.
I cut my friends hair yesterday, taking fine sections. I watched quite a few tutorials by pros, learned about over-direction, and she was ready to shave her head with clippers if it really sucked. But it didnt! Shes so happy and im quite proud
Good job for actually learning than just winging it. It saves you a lot of time and emotional distress when you prepare yourself to do it right. You deserve a pat on the back 👍👏
To be fair you did exactly what we as hairdressers do and only missed one step 👌😁 We watch our lecturer do a style then we do it on our sally heads, i.e a dolls head. Then when mastered we had open salons, practicing on real client's. Proud of you for having the confidence in yourself to not only learn but put it into practice. And I'm even more proud of you for executing the cut 😊 even some so called professionals can't do that 💖 Maybe you've found your calling you didn't know you had 😂
Here are my observations Brad Mondo = Entertainment Hair Buddha = Education (&Fun) I wonder if she saw this before she tried again how it would turn out? Side note: A sing songy HB is now my Favorite Hair Buddha
Love the fair explanation of how Sally employees will give advice based on your input. Don’t lie! Assuming they’re trained in the basics, the more info you give the better is usually a good motto.
All of these girls do these messes on purpose for content, yes, and all want Brad Mondo to notice them snd help boost their subscribers. They're hoping to get famous. HB, the expressions on your face as you watch but try not to watch these disasters are hilarious. I love your great helpful tips.
Actually, I just did my face framing by babylights and it took me more than 5 hours and now my back hurts so much +water boiler broke in the middle of me washing my hair (it has never happened before, what a perfect timing) so I had to wash the toner off with cold water. The hair turned out really nice though, I was learning from videos for a few weeks beforehand on how to do face framing :D
Just changed my hair from pink and purple to black and neon green. Took the salon 4 hrs (which shocked us all) and cost much more than I wanted to spend, but my hair is still soft and I ADORE the results 😊
I'm loving your videos HB! They are entertaining, instructive, and funny. My ex was a hairstylist for many years. During our time together, I saw first-hand what home bleaching, coloring, perming and facial peels can do if not done correctly. If I had to choose the worst of the worst, it would be the woman who did her own home facial peel. OMG! She was the front desk person in the salon. She greeted clients and walk-ins as they came in. She looked like she had been in a fire! Her facial skin was horribly blistered, bleeding and peeling off in bits and pieces! If I were the salon manager, I would have sent her home until she was well (because she looked SICK!!).
I am perfectly fine going my whole life afraid to bleach my own hair. I went to the salon yesterday and had a balayage and cut. I was there 2 hours and 45 minutes and it cost $115 before tip. I'm happy with the result and my hair is still on my head. Win all around
Wow that was very reasonable! My last color which was three colors with foils cost $220, and it was beautiful but I can't afford that upkeep. That was a long time ago. These days I don't do anything and I really need a cut.
“5 hours out of my day” okay girly it’s going to take you a lot longer than that 😂 I get not wanting to be at the salon for the 5 hours and rather be at home but it’s still gonna take that long if not longer for the actual application
I saw almost all your vidoes and I can say, I learned a lot. I am coloring myself, because I dont have money and I have bad experience with hairdressers. I think I know enough to gave myself root touchup, but still...I am watching. It is entertaining and I like when someone can educate people and isnt rude or dont humiliate them. Nice to see. :-)
Exactly, why would a professional want to keep you in the chair longer? They're going to do it as fast as it can competently be done, and there's no way a total beginner will get it done faster.
I have just found your channel!! Love it!! As a fellow hairdresser of 35+ years, these "Anyone can do hair" videos absolutely make me cringe!! We have to have more hours to get our license than an EMT needs to save your life......soooo Should have spent the $300 and 5 hours in the salon.....
😮😬😬 with her opening statement... I DONT KNOW WHAT I'M DOING -- let's us ALL know... go to the salon. PERIOD. Nope, gonna waste time, ruin hair, and STILL have to go to the salon. 😂😂😂😂
I’ve found the best thing for fixing up roots on highlighted hair at home between professional highlights is to just do root smudge reverse balayage in a shade 1-2 lighter than natural color
I've learned a lot from watching your videos. I now never go above 20 volumes and learned some cool tips and tricks. My hair is platinum blonde following your advice at home.
I no longer colour my hair as a natural white but the thought of 5 hours in hairdresser pure bliss Time for just me head massage, hair being washed and dried, great conversation and totally pampered what is not to love
She was beyond annoying geezus. And the crazy thing is her hair looked TOTALLY fine! Actually good! BEFORE she did ANYTHING! But gosh I was so annoyed by her like 3 minutes in 😂 I’m sorry, I just could take it, like I feel these people purposely play stupid for the camera and views and it’s OBNOXIOUS!!!
Luckily in the end it didn't look too bad,her having dark blonde natural hair helped. I'll understand why people salon color their hair,if they can't afford to upkeep, seems crazy to me.
I transformed into silver hair, I stopped dyeing my hair on May/2/2022, today I am so happy and stress-free, every time I go to 7 stars hair saloons they burn my hair, have horrible haircuts, and never have satisfaction. One of them charged me 500$ , my hair was a pixie cut, and fried my hair. All of them had high rates and damaged my hair.
What I learned from your videos? Hmmmm .... Watch more of them 😂😂 Your reactions are just hilarious when you know what's going to happen and it actually happen
What ever happened to beauty schools? I actually know of two in my town and one in a nearby town. Used to be you could walk into one and ask for some advice or even a beauty shop for some tips. It's been years since I've been to a beauty school, but back in the day, I'd get my "frosting" or permanents there (anybody here remember when some of us did both? Ugh, lol). Much less expensive and at least in those places, you have several instructors supervising. Or with these college girls, seems so flaky to totally not know what you're doing or what products will actually do - why not put a note on a bulletin board somewhere and get together with another bleached blonde or two and do each other's hair? Or even ask somebody at Sally's if they know of anyone interested in doing hair?
These pepple are mad, thinking they can actually pull this off? Hairderessing is art and people are studying for a long time and learning their wholenlife. I think people underestimate hairdresssers ❤️✂️❤️
In Luxembourg you have to do a 3 year long apprenticeship to become a hairdresser, followed by one year of working experience and again 3 years of school for the masters certification. So why the heck do those women think that they can do their hair at home without any qualification?
I thought the same thing: The employee is basically a retail person. It is their job to sell the products. There is no better target for a person that works in retail, than a customer that has no clue about the products....😂
@@fabianberg2198 I mean, there's always the possibility they watch Hair Buddha, chose their job based on their interests, or are in school, but I certainly don't expect a retail salesperson to have much more than basic knowledge about the products they sell. If they do, bonus, but I won't rely on it. It's akin to asking the grocery clerk to compare the particulars of X brand to Y when buying, for example, cake mix. They know what sells and what's on sale, that's all.
I went from dying my hair to deciding I was done and letting the gray be my friend and the last the couple of years I’ve had my hair highlighted to blend with my gray once a year. Best decision ever.
Her roots blend so beautifully with the rest of her hair, why on earth... well, I'm kind of the same way. But I always go by: when in doubt, go to a professional.
For the first time in my life I know why my roots always turn red tinged when I tone my hair, it's the developer! I think. I'm still not a hair professional but the Hair Buddha's atleast turning me in the right direction.
Omg, I would love to be able to get recommendations from you on my hair. I have had nothing but disappointment. They never do the cut right (I bring photos) the last girl cut my necklace when she started my cut and her instructor’s response to cutting my hair over an inch to short was “well I can’t glue it back on “ the woman was ill tempered to say the least. It is honestly so depressing to go so many years looking to find an artist who has creative vision that we can talk through.
The first time I went ginger I used a cream bleach. It was the only thing I could use as my hair hated all kinds of powder breach. I did color transition and now I am back to ginger using the highlift hair dyes.
I just started watching this and am worried for this girl. She’s so pretty and her hair looks lovely at the start - I can see that she’s a natural blond and doesn’t need to do anything. So the fact that she’s featured on a bleach fail video…I’m legit scared for her.
She said she got her hair done at a salon and it grows fast. She also said her hair is more brunette, red, blonde, which is darker than the color on her head. I have a similar hair color to her roots. She wouldn't be doing her roots if her hair was naturally pale yellow with some white in it.
@@montialarson I think you misread my comment. There are different shades of blond and I know her lengths were lighter and brighter due to a salon. Her natural color is not brown or red in the least. Her roots are a light to medium ash blond, kind of grayish almost b/c they’re so ashy, but most definitely blond. My natural hair is that color too, but not as light as hers. It blends well with lightened hair.
@@montialarsonI think Jenny’s comment was more referring to body dysmorphia. But also, her regrowth doesn’t seem to have the slightest hint of red in it (which goes back to perceiving “flaws” on one’s own body that aren’t there)
I immediately knew she was from Canada when she said it cost $300 to have her Roots touched up. I can stand the cost more than I can stand hairdressers that feel they need or want to Converse for 5 hours solid and they want to talk about that generally involve their family problems. I know not all hair stylist do this but I have bad luck and I get there really chatty ones and even if I go in and say I'm not feeling well I really would just like to have a silent experience they just can't not talk.
Stick with one hairdresser instead of switching. The only drawback is when he/she retires or sells their salon, you have to search again. Mine retired after 16 years of working together, I:m lost without him, and Belgium is too far to visit HB😢 Hats. I wear hats.
New subscriber. Your great , you make me laugh and you know your stuff I luv watching your videos, plus I do pick up new stuff yayyy thanx so much hair Budda 😊😊😊
Oh I can bleach my hair no problem. I used to be hot pink all over and did it myself for years. But to be a nice blonde…I’ll spend as much time in the hair salon as I need to. 😂
I've been doing my own since I was 13. My aunt was a hairdresser for many years and taught me to do my mother's hair, so I did my own too, but I used the cap to do my highlights. Her hair is light to begin with, and it beautifully blends. She should've went to a professional and sent $300 and 5 hours. Now her hair going to break off.
Her natural colour is already pretty light, if I were her I would not have bothered getting it lightened, as the colour at the roots would naturally lighten towards the ends anyway. I know, I know, to each their own, it just puzzles me when blondes wreck their hair to go a tiny bit blonder.
I am able to foil highlight my hair myself and turns out great every time. I get so many complements and people ask if I just got my hair done. You just need to know what you’re doing, take fine sections, and be careful.
If her natural colour was darker this would have looked so much worse. The 6% breaking her natural level 8 base just reduced the contrast with the level 9 highlights so it’s just blended it all in. If she was a level 5 or 6 this would’ve looked shocking and the toner would’ve made it worse.
That bleach is from Arctic fox and it’s 30 Developer it’s really harsh. I’ve bleached my own hair for years and this bleach is not great. My hair was really damaged after it. So can’t imagine if you don’t have experience doing it.
hilighting is way easier imo but only on other people my first time i did amazing it wasnt blocky sectioning and pulling it the right angle is just super important and making them thin not chunky
Thank you Hair Buddah, for saying that about Sally employees. I use to work there, and we are actually fairly well trained. However, if you don't tell us the truth, then we can't help you. And NOBODY told the truth lol.
Indeed, the real truth is always in the middle, you need to know both sides
I've never been to a Sally shop but I'm thinking that people who go there may not know what they're doing....and when they ruin their hair, they say 'oh those people at Sally's don't know anything!'😢
I’ve overheard employees at Sally give some horrible advice based on the request and the client asking. I don’t know that training is good everywhere.
I've found the clerks at Sally's to be very informed and helpful with suggestions.
@Jennifer Ford exactly like whereni work, it probably depends on the owner/operator. It's how much they'll invest in training staff
So it's not that she doesn't have money to go to a hairdresser, it's for the views. When she started mentioning "good content", that told me that she wants to go viral.
She tries too hard to be quirky-funny.
This! What an insincere video
Yeah seriously, she was really hard to watch
Yeap can t support her stupidity
I agree that she tried to hard to be cute and quirky. 😅
This one was hard to watch, because she's super annoying.
Omg YES!
And super stupid
"have you learned from this video? have you been entertained by this video?" NODDING LOUDLY AND GRATEFULLY
The irony is that her hair was absolutely OK before she did all that
My thoughts exactly 😂
I thought the same, but unfortunately having something good and going bad seems to be a post pandemic behavior people have now😢
Yeah but she think she is clever and funny😂
Exactly
✔️ totally. Unbelievable what people do.
"It's not going to be a bad idea... It's going to be a terrible idea" 😂 Thank you for that
Girl,when a pro says that ...
“I don’t want to pay $300 to get my roots done”. I don’t understand why women invest in color techniques that they cannot afford the up-keep.

I wonder if she saw this before she tried again how it would turn out?
Side note: A sing songy HB is now my Favorite Hair Buddha
You're absolutely right. Hair Buddha and Guy Tang. I wonder what it will look like in three weeks when it starts to grow out .
I don't like Brad
Tacky
I don't think she needed to dye her hair in the first place. It looked nice.
Views. Which is so absurd, in my opinion. But with that annoying personality, I guess it was the only way? 😝
This girl is so unlikeable, I guess karma ended up humbling her down a bit 😂😂
Love the fair explanation of how Sally employees will give advice based on your input. Don’t lie! Assuming they’re trained in the basics, the more info you give the better is usually a good motto.
they arent hair professionals, theyre cashiers.
The fact the guy sold her a bleaching kit AND developer 😳 🤔
The grinch smiling is too much for me 😁
Hair Buddha I worry for your mental health, the stress of these videos will make your hair fall out lol😂
Her Tiktok persona is so irritating....I couldn't wait for the fail!😂
U are hilarious hair Buddha. Thanks for making my evening a happy one and full of laughs
All of these girls do these messes on purpose for content, yes, and all want Brad Mondo to notice them snd help boost their subscribers. They're hoping to get famous.
HB, the expressions on your face as you watch but try not to watch these disasters are hilarious. I love your great helpful tips.
Ah, yeah! My favorite part of my day is here. Hair Buddha is back to brighten my day. 🌞❤️🌈
So glad you ended up with great results.
She said she ruined her hair as a way to gain views. I love his reviews 😍
"this is not a tutorial!". ...oh good god no!! 😂❤
Just changed my hair from pink and purple to black and neon green. Took the salon 4 hrs (which shocked us all) and cost much more than I wanted to spend, but my hair is still soft and I ADORE the results 😊
That sounds sounds amazing!
I'm loving your videos HB! They are entertaining, instructive, and funny.

Damn! I (happily) pay my colorist twice as much for a double process! And I don’t even get a cut! 💕And I totally agree with your 1st sentence!!!
Wow that was very reasonable! My last color which was three colors with foils cost $220, and it was beautiful but I can't afford that upkeep. That was a long time ago. These days I don't do anything and I really need a cut.
I immediately thought, “wow, her hair is very pretty”. Then I remembered the title of the video 😭
I'm more afraid of ending up a HB reaction video than bleaching my hair 😂😂😂 Thank God one of my friends is a hairstylist ❤
“5 hours out of my day” okay girly it’s going to take you a lot longer than that 😂 I get not wanting to be at the salon for the 5 hours and rather be at home but it’s still gonna take that long if not longer for the actual application
And how long it took to go to the shop and buy the stuff!!
I wonder WHY do they think they could do it FASTER then proffecionals? How??
Not only that, unless money is the issue, it is fun to go, be pampered, listen to the gossip and relax knowing the results are very likely to be good.
Exactly, why would a professional want to keep you in the chair longer? They're going to do it as fast as it can competently be done, and there's no way a total beginner will get it done faster.
I hate when people say their hair is red when it’s clearly not.
I hate hearing people insult themselves, her natural color is lovely.
Yayyyy! Love all your content but the longer form, more detailed bleaching fails are my favorite 🎉🎉🎉 Merry Christmas to me 🥳🥳🥳
I have just found your channel!! Love it!!
As a fellow hairdresser of 35+ years, these "Anyone can do hair" videos absolutely make me cringe!! We have to have more hours to get our license than an EMT needs to save your life......soooo Should have spent the $300 and 5 hours in the salon.....
Wow. She is relentlessly optimistic. Lol
If she cant open the packaging, she shouldnt be doing her own hair.
Rule #1 in my book !
"Something is preventing me from doing something, must be a reason !"
Don't do it !
Valid point😆
😮😬😬 with her opening statement... I DONT KNOW WHAT I'M DOING -- let's us ALL know... go to the salon. PERIOD. Nope, gonna waste time, ruin hair, and STILL have to go to the salon. 😂😂😂😂

Okay good I’m not the only one who thinks the same thing. I mean, wow just how annoying can a person be? Do they overact for the camera?
Yeah acting it up for the camera......more views! 😢
She'll find her niche, she's young.
Omg yes! Way too fake and annoying.
If an experienced professional takes 5 hours to do her hair, how can she think she could possibly do it in less time? That makes less than 0 sense.
I no longer colour my hair as a natural white but the thought of 5 hours in hairdresser pure bliss
Time for just me head massage, hair being washed and dried, great conversation and totally pampered what is not to love
I've almost fallen asleep getting my hair washed. It would have been embarrassing to slide right out of the chair. 😊

Blotchy is clearly the in thing when doing your own hair! Saves you a lot of money and gives you a cheaper look 😂😂😂😂🤦♀️🤷♀️ Spend the $300 next time!
It almost seems as though she is trying to act dumb on purpose to make a funny video and it’s not funny at all 😅
When you start out saying this might be a bad idea. You know it will never end well.
I really wonder if these people are 🧠 less or they're pretending? I admire your patience. I lost mine when she bought half of Sally's 😂

But also, her regrowth doesn’t seem to have the slightest hint of red in it (which goes back to perceiving “flaws” on one’s own body that aren’t there)
If I’m going in to this not even knowing what I need to do my hair I’m for sure not attempting to do it myself 😂
Hair used to be somewhat affordable now it's just ridiculous.
lol the problem with everyone having access to a camera phone.
Mine retired after 16 years of working together, I:m lost without him, and Belgium is too far to visit HB😢
Hats. I wear hats.
Why does it take 5 hours to do Highlights?
New subscriber. Your great , you make me laugh and you know your stuff I luv watching your videos, plus I do pick up new stuff yayyy thanx so much hair Budda 😊😊😊
Fine sections!!
"Shes trying"
Yeah HB she's super trying.
I’d rather save up and get things professionally done. However, I will never be on Hair Buddha’s video. 🤣🤣
Oh I can bleach my hair no problem. I used to be hot pink all over and did it myself for years. But to be a nice blonde…I’ll spend as much time in the hair salon as I need to. 😂
Keep going, girl! You will find next time the trouble you are looking for.
I wish someone to believe in me as much as some believe in toner. That toner will solve whole problems of our World 😅
I don't even think she noticed that she lifted her natural colour with the toner 🤦♀️
I am able to foil highlight my hair myself and turns out great every time. I get so many complements and people ask if I just got my hair done. You just need to know what you’re doing, take fine sections, and be careful.
It really is an illness that effects us all once or twice😂
If her natural colour was darker this would have looked so much worse. The 6% breaking her natural level 8 base just reduced the contrast with the level 9 highlights so it’s just blended it all in. If she was a level 5 or 6 this would’ve looked shocking and the toner would’ve made it worse.
Her colour roots actually looks much more natural and like the girl next door, than the dark roots look. It’s actually prettier
People like this young lady. Is going to pay more to have it corrected.
That bleach is from Arctic fox and it’s 30 Developer it’s really harsh. I’ve bleached my own hair for years and this bleach is not great. My hair was really damaged after it. So can’t imagine if you don’t have experience doing it.
If she did a shadow root, it would look great
hilighting is way easier imo but only on other people my first time i did amazing it wasnt blocky sectioning and pulling it the right angle is just super important and making them thin not chunky
I knew this girl was in trouble when she mentioned being a Canadian and thought her Carlos O'Brian's shirt was from a Mexican Restaurant
