  • The Hoverbike is called Scorpion-3, which merges a standard motorbike design with drone quad-copter technology, to allow riders to manoeuvre in the air as if they were riding a bike.
The Scorpion-3 can carry 104 kg or 229 pounds in weight, while hitting speeds of up to 43 miles per hour and reach an altitude of 33 feet.
This electric bike has a range of 13 miles, with between 20 to 40 minutes of flying time on a single charge, depending on the battery type. It’s batteries can be re-charged in three hours, or they can be swapped out in a minute.
The Dubai Police Force has reportedly tested it for use in monitoring large, highly trafficked areas.
    Thanks for watching

★★★ *FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE VIDEO / FACT UPDATES* ★★★
*1) Colin Furze made the hoverbike first* - Common statement, although 100% wrong, propellor hoverbike technology has been around for along time, and Scorpion 3 made their first prototype 1 year before Colin Furze. All Colin furze, did was replicate the technology in a backyard experiment, he did not invent it, nor did he make a saleable version of the bike.
Chris Malloy is developing another Hoverbike and made a prototype 6 years ago in 2012 here is a link - ua-cam.com/video/EpMZBp20JoI/v-deo.html - plus he has a kickstarter page to develop it, here is the Kickstarter Link = www.kickstarter.com/projects/1524806320/hoverbike
So to sum up all Colin Furze did was replicate technology that has been around for along time and he was not the first to make a hoverbike.
*2) The Exposed blades make this bike too dangerous and will never be approved* - You are most likely correct, it will probably never get approved in it's current form with exposed blades, but the bike is deemed an "extreme sports machine" which means it comes with a high level of danger attached to using it. I am sure at some point maybe even now "parachute flight suits" would be considered "extreme" make a small mistake you splat into the ground or a rock, have you seen how close people come to hitting the ground using that suit.
extreme recreational machines & technology always look dangerous, but there will always be people who love the extreme and will buy and use them. But overtime they will make them more user friendly and design them better for the mass market, but always keeping a level of "extreme" in the design.
*3) Why don't they put shrouds or covers over the blades* - for all those that watched the Colin Furze video when he made his backyard version of a hoverbike, you will have seen shrouds make you lose thrust, he had to give rid of his shrouds to make the bike fly. But you could still put a basic wire frame and chicken wire type mesh over the blades, but would be wonky & unstable. I am not an engineer so I do not know the answer, unless you are an engineer neither do you.
*4) $59,000 is too much for that bike* - All new technology starts off expensive, to help cover the design and prototype costs, but over time they refine the product and build it quicker & cheaper, but I doubt the price will ever come down much until they make it safer for the mass market.
    5) The video has 2 large chunks edited out of it using UA-cam Video Editor, Storyful claimed the video in 2023 after it had been up on my channel for 5 years, so I either had to edit out 2 chunks or delete the video.

Fair assumption to assume Colin's was the first if it's the first one you've seen.
Also don't assume you need to be an engineer to know what impact a shroud has on thrust. A little research is all it takes, not a degree.

With propeller guards added and provided that it is limited to fly about 10 to 15 feet high this hoverbike should be a success. I would buy one!

It’s actually pretty cool, of course assuming they put a proper guard on the props. Only thing is what if a prop dies. The props would have to be collective pitch so they can reverse thrust and maintain stability enough to land.

@@InTheFleshInc I’m not taking about autorotation. I’m talking about a variable pitch prop that can turn its pitch from forward thrust to reverse thrust. The theory being that if one prop dies, then the two outer props can thrust upwards while the third middle one would balance the craft by continuously going from reverse to forward allowing it to land with some stability. It’s just a theory but in theory I think it should work.

When you get good at it, it feels like you are part of the machine, or it feels like a part of you. I don' think you can get that feeling with any other machine we ride/drive. Oh yea. I don't get how people keep asking for prop guards like these things would be flown by anyone who can't fly the thing. Has anyone ever asked for prop guards on an airplane or a helicopter? These machines are meant to be flown by someone responsible enough to not fly near people or in a way that could get people hurt. Yes, it's possible, but it's not meant to. They even sell it as a pure sports machine. Are you going to complain that motorcycles should have seatbelts because you could fall off and hit a pole?
And btw, I once nearly killed a dog because when I parked my plane it came running up to my plane and I was able to shut off the motor in the last second, right before the dog came running right through the prop. That's why not everybody is allowed to fly planes or helicopters and that's why not everyone should be allowed to fly such "hoverbikes". There are enough accidents already because basically everyone is allowed to drive a car. No need for everybody flying around on things that fall from the sky when they hit something.

U could possibly even have each turbine move independently so u could have even better control. It would def be heavier but u could make up the difference with a beefier engine. Theres jet powered motorcycles out there. Why not this??? I know the price would have to raise tho. Just a thought..
