SOMETIMES THEY REVERSE THE NEGATIVE TO MAKE THEM EASIER TO SEE. (ENSLAVED2NOMEDIA). ONE GUY (ANDREW STEC ON FB) JUST ENLARGES THE IMAGES. TECHNOLOGY IS AT LEAST 100 YEARS BEYOND WHAT THEY ADMIT.
I see why you don't want to fly far from your truck. The battery drain is so great, you might not be able to drive close enough to retrieve your hoverbike easily. Nice first prototype, wonderful video, and great music!
Sky Fly You are an idiot. Even on a prototype safety should take priority, maybe especially on a prototype since it is an unknown variable. One little miscue and arms or legs are in the blades and he might never make it too the "update". What is the old saying? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
There are not covers on the blades for protection if that's what you are thinking.. The housings turn it into what's called a "ducted fan" increasing the thrust.
manfred adams...Maybe you didn't watch the video, there are no housings around the blades, it's not a ducted fan design although that would be a good addition. Ducts with a little chicken wire or something nonrestrictive to the airflow over the top would go a long ways toward safety and efficiency.
Congratulations. Any chance of moving those blades further out? You don't want to lose any limbs or fingers... Edited: Oh, I should have listened to the end before commenting. Very awesome work!
CG looks like it would be pretty high. Why not sit below the props above? It would provide a lower CG, PLUS you'd be out of the line of fire..OF THOSE PROPS! :-) Great job though. Looks like it would be a hoot to ride.
Surprisingly the CG is pretty much in the center of the propellers, the batteries are below the lower level of props and the person is sitting between them, so it balances surprisingly well! A past prototype had the props above, but it actually creates several control problems because it forms an unstable pendulum and surprisingly (and counter-intuitively) makes control more difficult.
Only unstable because the controller isn't tuned for that configuration. What flight controller are you using? The 'pendulum' set up should have a much larger sweet spot. But it won't work too well with average tuning.
Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this yeh but people don't want to buy fucking helicopters LMAOO. They wanna buy little hovery things to play around with

Where's Fred??, Oh, he's here and over there, and down by the mailbox, and on your car, and in the swimming pool, and oh, hey there's a little of him right there on your T-shirt too. :-P
Every time I build a new hot rod project, I think to myself “ok, I need to take it easy on the new engine to break it in”... which is then followed by mashing the throttle and burning the tires off at 6000 rpm.... I believe I may lack the restraint to “test” something that can fall from the sky. As soon as it lifted off I’d be like “Punch it” and I’d likely shoot off into space. 🤣
haha, yes, it looks that way in the video, but the pilot is very secure inside with an airplane-style seatbelt and the armrests on the sides prevent them from falling to either side. Surprisingly, it feels much safer inside it than the video makes it look :)
Great invention I just figured when you took it out to show us what it can really do in the open you would travel like you weren't still in the backyard maybe over 5 feet at least. That's probably how you can solve that dust problem if you went a little higher.
Nice work, but put those propellers higher - above pilots body! - so this vehicle gets better stabilization in air and it becomes much safer for pilot and others - ´couse those blades can kill you!
This is the kind of innovation that makes America what it is today. In a socialist country the government Gestapo would put a stop to this kind of citizen activitie.

Many security gurus in the comments. Guys, if you have never done anything more risky than what we see on the video (which is actually quite well thought), your youth must have been very sad. Also many people with no respect towards those who design / build / involve themselves. Sad.
They are warning people not to make same mistake in design as in the video for respect to others. He would have blade protection, if it would be cheap enough to make from sturdy and light weight material. You can't take calculated risks, if you are bad at math.
If you didn’t sit next to moving propeller blades inches from your feet...you had a lame childhood. Cmon dude, I appreciate the DIY feel of the project, I’d honestly rather make one at home than pay 100k for some company’s sleek looking one that even an idiot can fly, but you’re stretching.
Smart design, even for a prototype, always takes basic safety into consideration. You can still have a valid insight on something even though you are not an expert on something. It is definitely a valid insight to say that this prototype is insanely unsafe and using the excuse that "You don't know how hard designing is!" Isn't good enough to excuse how dangerous that machine is without cowlings. More accurately, deadly. His legs are max 12 inches from the props. More like 6-7 by my eye. Just imagine how quickly things go wrong if you bump the ground too hard as he nearly does many times....you don't have to be an expert to understand this. Advancing aerospace technology is dangerous enough without needless risks....

jasper asis GOVERNMENT HAS SOME UP THERE ALREADY. THEY STOP AND HOVER IN SMALL SELF GENERATED CLOUDS. THE ANCIENT SKY SLED IS ONE SUCH. ALSO SOMETHING LIKE A WATER BIKE FOR AIR. THEY TAKE OFF FROM A SIX POD HOVERCRAFT. ONE CENTERPIECE PLUS FIVE SMALLER PIECES AROUND IT. IT IS HUGE AND REQUIRES A LOT OF CLOUD COVER TO CLOAK. PEOPLE ARE PHOTOGRAPHING AND VIDEOING THEM. SOMETIMES THEY REVERSE THE NEGATIVE TO MAKE THEM EASIER TO SEE. (ENSLAVED2NOMEDIA). ONE GUY (ANDREW STEC ON FB) JUST ENLARGES THE IMAGES. TECHNOLOGY IS AT LEAST 100 YEARS BEYOND WHAT THEY ADMIT.
"Does this mean the sky will look like locust everywhere you go in a few years time...?" I certainly hope so!
Eirann LeNormand send me a link to these videos
@@mcdoctorglock sure will!.... if we can get our hands on the danged things!! I WANT TWO!!
Safety precautions?!? Dude is wearing safety glasses. LOL, Still cool, and keep dreaming!
I think he need a pair of lumber jack pants ....
I see why you don't want to fly far from your truck. The battery drain is so great, you might not be able to drive close enough to retrieve your hoverbike easily. Nice first prototype, wonderful video, and great music!
I love this! Any chance of printing the instructions to build one??
My guess is that he plans to manufacture them and sell them, why would he give away profits?
This shit is called a quadcopter, plans for many far better models are freely available.
man I love it but you better to build the cover
and a little seatbelt will help too XD... But still i thing thats a nice work.... keep on building
Haha. Hahahahahahha. Exactly what I was thinking.
What changes are you going to make if you want to make it fly longer than 10 minutes?
Honestly, I'm interested in innovations such as this one.
excuse me sir, your garden is blowing away
I plan to do this with my office chair.
And where are you now? After all these years it would be nice to have some info about such promising project...
Amazing your flying drone. Good luck and God bless you.
God stinks.
Excellent machine! Protective guards on the props might be a good idea though.
Congratulations. Any chance of moving those blades further out? You don't want to lose any limbs or fingers...
Edited: Oh, I should have listened to the end before commenting. Very awesome work!
Protective shrouds around blades and legs would make me feel better.
Hey, we are all so worried about how you "feel".
Because then it's a helicopter.
You mean like this ua-cam.com/video/JFwibWXyvfI/v-deo.html
Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this yeh but people don't want to buy fucking helicopters LMAOO. They wanna buy little hovery things to play around with
Congrats! Great job in proof of concept stage. A working prototype is a real joy to see
Love it. Great effort, but you REALLY NEED to wear a safety helmet and guard those props. I'm heading to your site now - very interesting.
Hi Man, you seem like a real nice guy, its top heavy! Please mount the rotars above you in a guarded housing, then you might live, good luck!
Very cool! I don’t think I would be able to resist the urge to fly higher - like over tree tops just for the dreamy cool wow experience :-)
Aaarrrggghhh!!!!!
My eyes feel so gritty after watching this!
Flying through the dust storms seemed a lot easier than listening to the repetitious, irritating background music. That said, you've made a very interesting vehicle, to say the least. Good work!
Punk like Colin Furze seems more appropriate.
American ingenuity always reins supreme. Good job!
It's so stable....
Falling on the blades could be the most goriest thing ever
Simply falling from some altitude seems the most dangerous.
It will happen so quickly, you probably won't feel it. Passersby will just think someone had left their mince meat machine outside to give it some airing.
Imagine a terrorist flying that into a crowded playground.
Lmfao
True 😂😂
VERY COOL! I'd love it with pontoons to go over water - land & take off as needed / wanted.
I have a great suggestion. A great improvement to the safety of the ride. *cough, wear a helmet.
What for?
Protecing the air between his ears?
Hey great work.
I have a confusion, How is it different from a normal RC drone besides the fact that it has thrust enough to lift a man?
Anyway, really loved the work. Keep it coming
bcoz u so bengap or bodoh to see the different..
I had the same thought. While watching the video I couldn’t really think of it as a hoverbike. More a big drone with a chair attached.
@@phausterclobic7848 It is. Abslutely.
The guy calling himself an "inventor" is just a dumb ass bragging around.
You are on the leading edge of what’s to come.
Thank you.
Cool! Where did you get the propellers?
Lol Vids well, for sure not out of your brain... sooo funny, your fecal comment, grow up, buddy !
id have some guards around those blades lol
Does it come in black?
i would love to see it perform over waterways
Where's Fred??, Oh, he's here and over there, and down by the mailbox, and on your car, and in the swimming pool, and oh, hey there's a little of him right there on your T-shirt too. :-P
Harsh... harsh.
😂
LOL!
what if you fell off, into the blades? then you're human tartar
haha, yes, it looks that way in the video, but the pilot is very secure inside with an airplane-style seatbelt and the armrests on the sides prevent them from falling to either side. Surprisingly, it feels much safer inside it than the video makes it look :)
Good luck with future prototypes, be careful!
only one accident per unit ! Guaranteed
Without helmet... sounds good 👍🏻
Great invention I just figured when you took it out to show us what it can really do in the open you would travel like you weren't still in the backyard maybe over 5 feet at least. That's probably how you can solve that dust problem if you went a little higher.
Cow pies flying everywhere 🤣🤣🤣
Propellar guards please
"It slices, it dices...." (In addition to being very cool!) Congratulations, I'm extremely jealous!
Flying blender or hamburger maker!, .. now that humour is out of way. Its those magnificent men and their flying machines. Well done bro. Well done, hope you succeed.
its not a bike its a chair.. of death
Agree with you!
😂 Just matter of time...
So are motorcycles. And some people operate them safely with no problems. Others get killed very early.
Borg Drone sign me up
when I see these kind of videos it renews my faith in are youth of the USA
Good job!!! ignore the haters, yes it was done back in the 60"s but so what. Im interested in building one how can I contact you.
Something like this is what I need to get back and forth to work.
@@galacticecho7027 Blah blah blah, challenger still blew up with all the 'safety' in the world on board. So according to you, people should not try anything and keep themselves wrapped up in cotton wool because 'safety'.
@@mikakorhonen5715 Another one who refused to actively LISTEN to what the guy in the video said., "purely a prototype" and "having the propellers so close to the pilot isn't great but don't worry the next version will have them covered for safety", best you go back to your padded safe space and keep covering yourself with cotton wool
" I lost one of my legs while trying to get off of our prototype, but don't worry! In the next version, we'll have biomechanic legs to prevent any harm to the pilot. Remember, it's still a prototype!"
That’s great. You might want to add a parachute with a pressurized activator that can shoot it straight up high enough to open & save the pilot in an emergency.
This model is called the “Legless Man”
Soon to be!
flying veggomatic guess whos for dinner.
Kris Kirby ha ha ha
I hope the next gen will either have the blades covered, or higher than the pilots. great job !
Imagine if he said hi everyone I'm dead inside
Put the blades on the bottom and you could have a "hover mower"... ;-) Then you could have a version for the agricultural community and call it the "Agri-Hover" or something like that.
Hovering lawn mower was my first thought.
Congratulations on inventing the first flying grasscutter.
very interesting, can we do without the music?

Usually I'm the one complaining about music but this was okay.
Most of the other vids out there have really irritating grating
