My girl has always had false pregnancies. The vet told us even if we do spay her it might not help..It's hell for all of us let me tell you.Constant whining 24/7,not eating,digging up/ripping open her bed and burrowing inside.She even steals stuffed animals and produces milk !!Sometimes even meds don't help..It has gotten worse over the years in the beginning it was very mild.TAKE CARE ALL💖💖
This is happening to my granddog. She has adopted a squeaky groundhog as her baby and she's super protective of her groundhog baby. The problem I'm having is keeping my dogs away from her groundhog baby. She absolutely believes it's her baby so you can imagine her torment if she sees another dog chewing on her baby. I had no idea this was so common.
@@gumby710 worked out fine. Ivan went to Walmart and got dirt cheap shipping boxes and made her own welping box for her and her baby. Never knew I'd be a proud "grandhog". 😂 She eventually grew tired and after a few weeks the baby was simply a groundhog toy again. ❤️
My cockapoo is going through this right now, this video has helped me massively with understanding why she is acting the way she is. She’s getting quite aggressive with me and my partner which is really worrying and upsetting us. I’m currently experiencing this with my 2 year old staffy. Just out of heat 1 month ago. She will only walk till the end of the road the now. She is also always scrapping her mammary glands along carpet or grass outside. Very clingy too. Hopefully this won’t last long.

Squeezing a nipple will confirm a phantom pregnancy because milk will flow. My golden retriever girl Jess is currently going through this. She’s five years old and never had a phantom pregnancy or ever had puppies. All toys taken away because it prolongs the condition and I have two small dogs and I don’t want her guarding her toys.

My poor mini schnauzer has been "digging" the heck out of our floors and even walls as well with her phantom pregnancy. She's getting spayed soon. It's funny actually, I had reached her vet because I wanted her to be assessed for spaying (she is 4.5 years old), but I also had notice some body and behavioral changes, so I said "heck it, might as well go for everything at once" and it resulted all her changes I had notice were because of a phantom pregnancy. It is her first and thankfully last one. After getting it all scheduled I came home and read a little about it and found out it tends to get worse with time and next heat cycles, so I am happy with my decision. Thank you for reassuring me as well. I now feel certain I am doing the best choice.
My poor sweet boxer is going through a false pregnancy now. She had her 1st litter of pups last summer and had her 1st heat after the pups 6 months later. Almost 2months after her heat I noticed her teats swelling and she lost her appetite and started laying around more than normal. Finally she began to pick up random objects and carry them around whining and crying. She brought one toy up to bed last night and I had to go back downstairs with her to get ALL of her “babies” and put them in my bed to get her to lay down and go to sleep😢 I feel so bad for her, she’s currently loving on her “play” button
I think my dog is going through this. I don’t think she’s ever came in contact with a dog that can get her pregnant. I’ve kept my eye on her pretty well when she’s outside. There has been a few times she ran off for about 30 mins and came back, but I just don’t think she is pregnant. I refuse to fix her until later on in life so I just watch her when she’s out , but it appears she’s getting milk.
Also my dog is going thru phantom pregnancy and she is getting food aggressive when the cat comes near when shes eating and she has stopped being nearly as affectionate towards me. She sleeps on the couch now and not with me no matter how hard i try to persuade her😢. Anyone else have this happen?

She is my everything and when she started to snap and stop eating her food i thought the worst even though she isnt 1 yet. i overreact a lot however she really is my everything thank you so much again kind sir .🤝

How long did it take for it to go away? My dog has been holding on to her toy 24/7 and she doesn’t want to eat her food at all but other food she will. She doesn’t drink as much water though and that’s what concerns me
is panting a part of this? My girl (6 year old toy poodle) started exhibiting these behaviors: lethargy, reduced appetite, restlessness, digging, ripping up her bed, panting, whining, and carrying a toy around. Which is so unlike her and i really hope this goes away. But her nipples don't look abnormal or swollen.
Couple months have passed and my dog still hiding under the bed to have her puppies, she also brings shoes to her bed as you mentioned. Now I'm less worried about it, but still a little. Thanks for the video

That's not something I've come across, but it can take a few weeks for the hormones to settle down after surgery so it depends how long ago the surgery was. no harm in giving your vet a call though

On the 17th they got so much bigger and now 20th she is lactating and carrying a toy pig around with her she digs at the sofa, which is not like her. She is 3 years old. My Saluki/Whippet is 6 years old, unspayed and usually only comes into heat every six months, however this time for the first time approx 12 weeks after her last season ended she developed a phantom pregnancy, she does not appear to be in any way distressed, but has gathered together all her soft toys and has made a nest on top of my bed, shes eating less and reluctant to go for long walks. This is what my dog is going through at the moment, it is now going into the second week & she as gone completely off all her food that she normally likes, I have increased her walks & am trying her on different foods just to get her to eat something, costing a small fortune but better than not eating nothing, I have decided to get her spayed now at 23 months of age in July which i was totally against doing before this episode of her phantom pregnancy regardless of not wanting to breed her with another dog but now i have learnt it is possible it can happen after her next heat cycle & also put her at risk I think having her spayed might be more helpful to her or at least that is what i am hoping for.
I’m in a strange case. My dog was spade 8weeks after heat (as everyone had instructed me was the best time) and my dog was showing nesting behaviour, was aggressive and super clingy towards me. She had a successful spay but when she went home her nipples were large. Turns out it is a pseudo pregnancy as milk came out of her nipples. Both vets said they have not seen in 15 years. She’s on a medication but has gone off food. Her teets are not going down and are still a bit filled. What can I do to make sure this doesn’t keep reoccurring? Mines a rare case so I’m hoping someone else is going through this. Thanks!
Can this continue longer then 5 months my dog is ended her heat cycle 5 months ago and looks like she's bagging up showing nesting but it's 5 months after her cycle ended and no males ever got near here and it's way late if she had gotten pregnant
I am so glad I watched this. My 8 month old chug has swollen nipples and eating like crazy after she went through her first heat. My lab male is neutered and can not get to her she is about a quarter his size . I have been waiting for the doctor to get her in to have her spayed ASAP. I didn't even want her to go through her first heat but she did at 7 months and she was really bad compared to my other female chocolate lab who had to have emergency surgery after she had 1 puppy that was pretty big then the second puppy was a water puppy got stuck in the birth canal. I tried using coconut oil to help her with sliding the puppy out but it was so big she could not get the head out to were I could grab it after an hour I just said I can not let her suffer and I put her in the front seat of my van and had to rush her to the emergency room and they said that the puppy had fell apart and infection set in immediately she had to have a hysterectomy and the rest of the 5 puppies were gone. The puppies were all to big for my chocolate lab to have. Her birth canal was very narrow for a dog her size . Just because you pay for an AKC pure bred dog does not mean that they will not have problems with birth. Her and her only serving puppy UNA spayed and the male because I don't know if the big size came from her or male side. Don't want any other dog to go through what my pup did. Always spay and neuter dogs.

Our nearly 12month old JRT had her first heat about 2 months ago and for the last few weeks she absolutely refused all food and Is super clingy to me like she was when she was a tiny pup ( which is unusual as she sees my husband as her favourite as he takes her for lovely long walks etc where I can’t) she follows me about everywhere and is desperate to snuggle right into me ( almost like she’s nesting in me and she’s been sleeping for hours. My husband took her to the vets as she lost so much weight yet she was very hot to touch underneath and she was swollen. The vets said she was definitely having a phantom pregnancy as her milk had come in and put her on a medication to dry it up. Only we are sure the medication is making her feel sick so we’ve cut it right down. She hasn’t shown any signs of keeping one of her soft teddies or toys like it was a pup, I’m just wondering why she’s become SO attached to me personally while she’s going through this? Don’t get me wrong I’m loving the snuggles as much as she is it’s just unusual as like I said usually she won’t let my husband out of her sight🤔

My friends dog has very swollen breast, been nauseous, and has become very large. We think we can feel movement but it said that is sometimes normal with a phantom pregnancy. Her temperature also has been fluctuating a lot. At this point we do not know if she is truly pregnant or just going through a phantom pregnancy.

My 6 year old female golden retriever/ dachshund dog is experiencing some of these symptoms so I took her to a vet and he told me it was mammary cancer, went to another vet to get a second opinion and he told me she’s going through a fake pregnancy. How can we know that the phantom pregnancy has resolved, my 2yo dog has gotten it around 3 times before and it may be her 4th false pregnancy this time it gets me worried all the time. It has subsided all the times but it has me worried if this will cause her any health problems :(

Vet offices are usually open regardless, it just depends if you have money to put down for your dog in most places. They always have emergency vets. They're shouldn't be any reason to deny you're doggy friend. Usually you have to call and set up an appointment, I haven't seen any vet clinics closed completely because of the pandemic.

Hey doc ...my dog had a phantom pregnancy last year and it seems like it's coming on heat ... what can I give her for her to actually get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy
So our dog was rescued on her street. Had her a year and never went to heat and was told she was likely was fixed. 13 months later, she went into heat. We had a friends male dog staying with us that was fixed so thought it was fine but he was very recently fixed. I think they may have done something but still figured he’s fixed and no chance she’s pregnant. That’s been almost 4 weeks now and she’s showing signs of either phantom pregnancy or pregnant. Obviously I know only way to really know is through a vet visit but I’m giving it another week. I’m freaking myself out feeling like besides her enlarged nipples, I feel like I can feel things in her stomach area (she’s tiny). Is that even possible? Really just wondering for the handful of “maybes” out there, if there is anything else other than time & vet confirmation that would distinguish this from being pregnant. I really thought 13 months with no cycle we were in the clear. But this was helpful.
normal pregnancy lasts about 63 days give or take, and milk normally only comes in up to a week before giving birth. Unfortunately, season interval can be really variable, and once a year is not super unusual. Hope it all works out for you and her

Normally I would say no but then after the fact read sperm can live in the “plumbing” up to 30 days and the dog was fixed 18 days before I think it happened.

Not sure you'll see this because I'm a bit late here. My 3 year old was just ovariectomized and she's exhibiting strange behavior 4 days post surgery. Carrying a toy in her mouth and whining..doing this nervously in circles. Digging everywhere she can. Acting anxious in general. I'm concerned that she may have already been exhibiting mild phantom pregnancy and the spay exacerbated these symptoms due to the severe reduction in estradiol following the ovariectomy. If so, will this still resolve on its own? I'm waiting to hear back from my vet...
Replying to this comment in case the Dr replies because my dog is going through a false pregnancy but the vet wants to spay her in a month when her symptoms will probably be gone but I'm not sure how long after the false pregnancy should a dog be spayed? I would hate to haver her spayed at the wrong time and then have her go through another phantom pregnancy. Good luck to you! From what I've researched your dog probably got spayed during a false pregnancy but it should go away in a few weeks although it can last a few months , hope your vet helps.
My female dog has passed 4 seasons of heat...we had her mating for 2 times the 2nd and 3rd heat..but not successful...at fourth the vet consulted to just decrases her weight a little...and then she will be able to have babies...but now after 3 months of her last heat cycle...she is showing symptoms like...digging the corners of house...mourning...taking her small elephant toy which she thinks is her puppy...and roaming everywhere along with it. It's likely to happen every season I'm afraid. If you mean how to get her pregnant then using a dog with proven fertility can help as well as taking blood tests to make sure mating happens at the best time
She's not one year old. I don't know what's wrong with our dog but she's not eating at all for a days now. She got swollen teats and has no motivation to move at all. She sometimes breathe really deep and sleep most of the day. Please, anyone knows what's happening?

New studies have show that spaying should be delayed until the dog is at least fully grown. Also that Ovarian sparing spaying is the new recommended option. What is your opinion in this? Have you looked into it?
The recommendation of timing of spaying changed a while ago in that for larger breed dogs it should be delayed until at least 12 months of age, longer for giant breeds. It's only benefit over not spaying is to prevent pregnancy which should be possible by responsible vigilant owners without requiring surgery at all. there is a hormone treatment that can be given to speed up resolution that you might want to talk to your vet about if aggression is becoming a problem, especially with kids in the house

average time between seasons is 6 months but in some dogs it can be longer. I'm not aware that phantom pregnancy affects this but she is very likely to have repeat phantom pregnancies after each season
My dog has white discharge coming out of her nipples. And hasn’t gotten her period yet she did get it about a month ago. But now she has white discharge but her nipples are not swollen! Do u know what that means?
My dog was just spayed on Nov 22nd. She started showing signs of swollen teats on sunday we noticed a milky substance leaking on Monday. They are warm to the touch but not red or irritated looking. Would this be a false pregnancy so soon after being spayed?? Any advice!?
it can take some time for the hormones to change after being spayed. Just get your vet to check everything in her post-op check or when the stitches are removed
We caught the dogs hooked up and she's 63 days today and nothing. She got quite large and the first 3 sets of nipples enlarged but then the last two weeks she started to slim down. Does this mean a false pregnancy?

Hi I’m Kendra My friend has 3 dogs Bruno, Calypso and blue. Blue is a Italian mastiff and Calypso is a terrier somehow calypso got out of her cage and ended up hooking up with blue she was still spotting then and I’m not sure if she is pregnant or not it has only been a few days I’m kinda worried that if she is pregnant the baby’s will be to big for her any advice?
She can be given an injection to make sure that the mating doesn't result in pregnancy or you could get an ultrasound scan at around 30 days to see if she is pregnant or not and take it from there. Puppy size mainly relates to the size of the mother, and a typical terrier is not a breed that normally needs a c-section (although clearly any breed can get into trouble giving birth for different reasons)

I dont really understand how she can be hyper but sleeping lots and why you would expect changes in her belly. Give the vet who did the surgery a call to discuss this as they know your dog best

@@gumby710 worked out fine. Ivan went to Walmart and got dirt cheap shipping boxes and made her own welping box for her and her baby. Never knew I'd be a proud "grandhog". 😂 She eventually grew tired and after a few weeks the baby was simply a groundhog toy again. ❤️
My cockapoo is going through this right now, this video has helped me massively with understanding why she is acting the way she is. She’s getting quite aggressive with me and my partner which is really worrying and upsetting us. I’m currently experiencing this with my 2 year old staffy. Just out of heat 1 month ago. She will only walk till the end of the road the now. She is also always scrapping her mammary glands along carpet or grass outside. Very clingy too. Hopefully this won’t last long.

My poor mini schnauzer has been "digging" the heck out of our floors and even walls as well with her phantom pregnancy. She's getting spayed soon. It's funny actually, I had reached her vet because I wanted her to be assessed for spaying (she is 4.5 years old), but I also had notice some body and behavioral changes, so I said "heck it, might as well go for everything at once" and it resulted all her changes I had notice were because of a phantom pregnancy. It is her first and thankfully last one. After getting it all scheduled I came home and read a little about it and found out it tends to get worse with time and next heat cycles, so I am happy with my decision. My poor sweet boxer is going through a false pregnancy now. She had her 1st litter of pups last summer and had her 1st heat after the pups 6 months later. Almost 2months after her heat I noticed her teats swelling and she lost her appetite and started laying around more than normal. Finally she began to pick up random objects and carry them around whining and crying. She brought one toy up to bed last night and I had to go back downstairs with her to get ALL of her “babies” and put them in my bed to get her to lay down and go to sleep😢 I feel so bad for her, she’s currently loving on her “play” button
I think my dog is going through this. I don’t think she’s ever came in contact with a dog that can get her pregnant. I’ve kept my eye on her pretty well when she’s outside. There has been a few times she ran off for about 30 mins and came back, but I just don’t think she is pregnant. I refuse to fix her until later on in life so I just watch her when she’s out , but it appears she’s getting milk.
If she ran off for 30 minutes while on heat then there is every chance she could be pregnant, it really doesn't take long

How long did it take for it to go away? My dog has been holding on to her toy 24/7 and she doesn’t want to eat her food at all but other food she will. She doesn’t drink as much water though and that’s what concerns me
is panting a part of this? My girl (6 year old toy poodle) started exhibiting these behaviors: lethargy, reduced appetite, restlessness, digging, ripping up her bed, panting, whining, and carrying a toy around. Which is so unlike her and i really hope this goes away. But her nipples don't look abnormal or swollen.

That's not something I've come across, but it can take a few weeks for the hormones to settle down after surgery so it depends how long ago the surgery was. no harm in giving your vet a call though

My Saluki/Whippet is 6 years old, unspayed and usually only comes into heat every six months, however this time for the first time approx 12 weeks after her last season ended she developed a phantom pregnancy, she does not appear to be in any way distressed, but has gathered together all her soft toys and has made a nest on top of my bed, shes eating less and reluctant to go for long walks. After years of reluctance, and as I have no intention of breeding her.....I'm going to get her Spayed😊

This is what my dog is going through at the moment, it is now going into the second week & she as gone completely off all her food that she normally likes, I have increased her walks & am trying her on different foods just to get her to eat something, costing a small fortune but better than not eating nothing, I have decided to get her spayed now at 23 months of age in July which i was totally against doing before this episode of her phantom pregnancy regardless of not wanting to breed her with another dog but now i have learnt it is possible it can happen after her next heat cycle & also put her at risk I think having her spayed might be more helpful to her or at least that is what i am hoping for.
I’m in a strange case. My dog was spade 8weeks after heat (as everyone had instructed me was the best time) and my dog was showing nesting behaviour, was aggressive and super clingy towards me. She had a successful spay but when she went home her nipples were large. Turns out it is a pseudo pregnancy as milk came out of her nipples. Both vets said they have not seen in 15 years. She’s on a medication but has gone off food. Her teets are not going down and are still a bit filled. What can I do to make sure this doesn’t keep reoccurring? Mines a rare case so I’m hoping someone else is going through this. Thanks!

I am so glad I watched this. My 8 month old chug has swollen nipples and eating like crazy after she went through her first heat. My lab male is neutered and can not get to her she is about a quarter his size . I have been waiting for the doctor to get her in to have her spayed ASAP. I didn't even want her to go through her first heat but she did at 7 months and she was really bad compared to my other female chocolate lab who had to have emergency surgery after she had 1 puppy that was pretty big then the second puppy was a water puppy got stuck in the birth canal. I tried using coconut oil to help her with sliding the puppy out but it was so big she could not get the head out to were I could grab it after an hour I just said I can not let her suffer and I put her in the front seat of my van and had to rush her to the emergency room and they said that the puppy had fell apart and infection set in immediately she had to have a hysterectomy and the rest of the 5 puppies were gone. The puppies were all to big for my chocolate lab to have. Her birth canal was very narrow for a dog her size . Just because you pay for an AKC pure bred dog does not mean that they will not have problems with birth. Her and her only serving puppy UNA spayed and the male because I don't know if the big size came from her or male side. Don't want any other dog to go through what my pup did. Always spay and neuter dogs.

My Rottweiler female has done this twice now. Around 4 weeks after her heat she seems to return to normal

Our nearly 12month old JRT had her first heat about 2 months ago and for the last few weeks she absolutely refused all food and Is super clingy to me like she was when she was a tiny pup ( which is unusual as she sees my husband as her favourite as he takes her for lovely long walks etc where I can’t) she follows me about everywhere and is desperate to snuggle right into me ( almost like she’s nesting in me and she’s been sleeping for hours. My husband took her to the vets as she lost so much weight yet she was very hot to touch underneath and she was swollen. The vets said she was definitely having a phantom pregnancy as her milk had come in and put her on a medication to dry it up. Only we are sure the medication is making her feel sick so we’ve cut it right down. She hasn’t shown any signs of keeping one of her soft teddies or toys like it was a pup, I’m just wondering why she’s become SO attached to me personally while she’s going through this? Don’t get me wrong I’m loving the snuggles as much as she is it’s just unusual as like I said usually she won’t let my husband out of her sight🤔

My friends dog has very swollen breast, been nauseous, and has become very large. We think we can feel movement but it said that is sometimes normal with a phantom pregnancy. Her temperature also has been fluctuating a lot. At this point we do not know if she is truly pregnant or just going through a phantom pregnancy.

My 6 year old female golden retriever/ dachshund dog is experiencing some of these symptoms so I took her to a vet and he told me it was mammary cancer, went to another vet to get a second opinion and he told me she’s going through a fake pregnancy. Yes,. any swelling/lumps should go completely once the phantom pregnancy is resolved. If they remain then cancer is certainly a possibility
How can we know that the phantom pregnancy has resolved, my 2yo dog has gotten it around 3 times before and it may be her 4th false pregnancy this time it gets me worried all the time. It has subsided all the times but it has me worried if this will cause her any health problems :(

Vet offices are usually open regardless, it just depends if you have money to put down for your dog in most places. They always have emergency vets. They're shouldn't be any reason to deny you're doggy friend. Usually you have to call and set up an appointment, I haven't seen any vet clinics closed completely because of the pandemic.

Hey doc ...my dog had a phantom pregnancy last year and it seems like it's coming on heat ... what can I give her for her to actually get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy
So our dog was rescued on her street. Had her a year and never went to heat and was told she was likely was fixed. 13 months later, she went into heat. We had a friends male dog staying with us that was fixed so thought it was fine but he was very recently fixed. I think they may have done something but still figured he’s fixed and no chance she’s pregnant. That’s been almost 4 weeks now and she’s showing signs of either phantom pregnancy or pregnant. Obviously I know only way to really know is through a vet visit but I’m giving it another week. I’m freaking myself out feeling like besides her enlarged nipples, I feel like I can feel things in her stomach area (she’s tiny). Is that even possible? Really just wondering for the handful of “maybes” out there, if there is anything else other than time & vet confirmation that would distinguish this from being pregnant. I really thought 13 months with no cycle we were in the clear. But this was helpful.
normal pregnancy lasts about 63 days give or take, and milk normally only comes in up to a week before giving birth. Unfortunately, season interval can be really variable, and once a year is not super unusual. Hope it all works out for you and her

Not sure you'll see this because I'm a bit late here. My 3 year old was just ovariectomized and she's exhibiting strange behavior 4 days post surgery. Carrying a toy in her mouth and whining..doing this nervously in circles. Digging everywhere she can. Acting anxious in general. I'm concerned that she may have already been exhibiting mild phantom pregnancy and the spay exacerbated these symptoms due to the severe reduction in estradiol following the ovariectomy. If so, will this still resolve on its own? I'm waiting to hear back from my vet...
Replying to this comment in case the Dr replies because my dog is going through a false pregnancy but the vet wants to spay her in a month when her symptoms will probably be gone but I'm not sure how long after the false pregnancy should a dog be spayed? I would hate to haver her spayed at the wrong time and then have her go through another phantom pregnancy. Good luck to you! From what I've researched your dog probably got spayed during a false pregnancy but it should go away in a few weeks although it can last a few months , hope your vet helps.

My dog just got spayed a week ago, she's 7 months, never been in heat, but ever since the surgery her behavior has changed. Basically her vagina is swollen, she was liking and smelling her bed restlessly for about 35-40 minutes, she's more irritated and nervous, and also digging on her rug and a bit aggresive. Is this possible? a false pregnancy if she's never been in heat?

there is hormone treatment that can be given to stop heat cycles but I don't recommend this as a long-term option.

It's likely to happen every season I'm afraid. If you mean how to get her pregnant then using a dog with proven fertility can help as well as taking blood tests to make sure mating happens at the best time
She's not one year old. I don't know what's wrong with our dog but she's not eating at all for a days now. She got swollen teats and has no motivation to move at all. She sometimes breathe really deep and sleep most of the day. Please, anyone knows what's happening?

New studies have show that spaying should be delayed until the dog is at least fully grown. Also that Ovarian sparing spaying is the new recommended option. What is your opinion in this? Have you looked into it?

Ovary sparing spaying is not the new recommended option, it is only recommended by a tiny minority and comes with a load of issues. It's only benefit over not spaying is to prevent pregnancy which should be possible by responsible vigilant owners without requiring surgery at all. there is a hormone treatment that can be given to speed up resolution that you might want to talk to your vet about if aggression is becoming a problem, especially with kids in the house

My dog vulva is leaking clear fluid, and she is pregnant. And im waiting if she is gonna give birth today, she started leaking fluid yesterday until now, shes weak yesterday and i think shes about to give birth but still nothing.

My dog is just a year ols he got his first heat in Sept 2021 and dec 2021 we noticed she had false pregnancy. Can false pregnancy have effects on her heat cycle.. Because it's almost 6 months from her first heat.
average time between seasons is 6 months but in some dogs it can be longer. I'm not aware that phantom pregnancy affects this but she is very likely to have repeat phantom pregnancies after each season
My dog has white discharge coming out of her nipples. And hasn’t gotten her period yet she did get it about a month ago. But now she has white discharge but her nipples are not swollen! Do u know what that means?

My dog was just spayed on Nov 22nd. She started showing signs of swollen teats on sunday we noticed a milky substance leaking on Monday. They are warm to the touch but not red or irritated looking. Would this be a false pregnancy so soon after being spayed?? Any advice!?
it can take some time for the hormones to change after being spayed. Just get your vet to check everything in her post-op check or when the stitches are removed
We caught the dogs hooked up and she's 63 days today and nothing. She got quite large and the first 3 sets of nipples enlarged but then the last two weeks she started to slim down. Does this mean a false pregnancy?
Could be but a normal pregnancy can be anything from 59 to 72 days after mating so there could yet be puppies

Hi I’m Kendra My friend has 3 dogs Bruno, Calypso and blue. Blue is a Italian mastiff and Calypso is a terrier somehow calypso got out of her cage and ended up hooking up with blue she was still spotting then and I’m not sure if she is pregnant or not it has only been a few days I’m kinda worried that if she is pregnant the baby’s will be to big for her any advice?
She can be given an injection to make sure that the mating doesn't result in pregnancy or you could get an ultrasound scan at around 30 days to see if she is pregnant or not and take it from there. Puppy size mainly relates to the size of the mother, and a typical terrier is not a breed that normally needs a c-section (although clearly any breed can get into trouble giving birth for different reasons)

there is no change in their ability to become pregnant, but if they don't then they are highly likely to experience phantom pregnancy again
My dog is so hyper sometimes, tho she's always sleeping. Is that normal. Uhm She's almost 5 weeks after being spayed. Is it normal that her belly doesn't show any changes. I'm worried. Please answer this somehow
I dont really understand how she can be hyper but sleeping lots and why you would expect changes in her belly. Give the vet who did the surgery a call to discuss this as they know your dog best
