Right now there is an Aventon special going- $250 off when you buy two bikes if you use code- BUYTWOSAVE250. Not sure how long the promotion is running but I checked it today and it still works 😉
I have 350 miles on my 500 next Gen and I love it. I just ended up changing the seat for a cycling seat. I have rode 32 miles max and still had 10% left. I had to conserve on assist
I just ordered one of these (Pace 500.2 for $999), the Glide seat post, rear rack, chain lock, and fender set (20% off all accessories if you buy 3 or more) all for $1142 after tax with free shipping. I have my eye on an aftermarket seat as I am not used to bike saddles, but I will see how much the upgraded seat post does first. I have been doing some research and this seems like the best bang for the buck for a reputable branded e-bike. After watching your video, it looks like I made a pretty good decision.
Same here. Mine's being delivered today. 4th of July pricing plus it being last year's model (the latest model is the Pace 500.3) made this a no brainer. At least I hope so.
@@chrisrobbins2632 ordered mine today and there's a summer sale going on right now with a free rack. Since it's been 6 days, can you tell me if your bike has shipped or not? I've heard they can be really late when it comes to shipping and delivering.

Nice review. I'm a new subscriber. I bought my 1st e-bike 2 months ago. I only bought one to ride in my neighborhood and paved local bike trails with my wife and grandkids. I absolutely love it. If I would have known back then, what I know now, I would have bought a better one. I bought a 250 watt with no suspension. It does ok but I want to go farther and have better range and have a front suspension. Also, I'm on the shorter side (5'4") and I'm 60 yrs old. I was loving the Pace 500 till I saw it didn't have a front suspension. I'm leaning towards the Aventure or the Ride1up 700, but I'm thinking maybe those are both overkill for my needs? I don't care about off road or sand or gravel. I'm more about comfort and going for longer rides. Any suggestions? Thanks for all you work on this channel. It's exactly what us newbies need.
Thanks for the kind words and question! (sorry for the essay response!) This is Omar and I've ridden all of the ebikes you mentioned extensively. I really really like the Pace 500 because of the sizing for me. If you have an aventon local bike shop (www.aventon.com/pages/electric-bike-shop-dealer-locator) close to you, i'd recommend trying out the Aventure & Pace to feel them both out. The Aventure is a great ebike but it's "beefier" and has knobby fat tires better suited for dirt trails so I'd say if you're mostly riding on paved roads this probably won't be your best option. The Ride1up 700 series is an amazing option and one I'm biased about. I love this ebike and it's super comfortable. The biggest negative about Ride1up is assembly so if you went with this ebike, I'd recommend having it professionally assembled. With that said, I really do think the Pace 500 NG does really well for not having a suspension. Again, if you're able to test ride that's the best way to figure out sizing/feel/etc. Not to add more ebike to your list, but one other good option could be the Aventon Level. It sounds like the Level is going to be updated ( just like the Pace 500) so depending on timing, when you're ready to buy the new level might be out for sale. Good Luck!
@@cintikevin1 i haven't ridden the Cafe Cruiser but that is also a good option if you're looking for a comfort/cruiser type ebike. We're big fans of Ride1up but as i mentioned earlier, those ebikes usually require a bit more assembly.
Thanks for the question. I'm 5-11 and I used the regular frame. That said, your inseam may be a better indicator than height. btw Aventon has the 500.2 on sale for $1199 as part of their Labor Day sale bit.ly/3Et3DrK
Great review ! Not sure if I need a large or medium . I am 6’1 and my son who will be using it as well is 5’8 and still growing . Any recommendations on size? May I ask how tall are you?
Thank you for the feedback & question...I'm 5'11" and I have a regular (5'1"-5'7") ...but it actually fits me perfectly...I'd say if you want a step-through the Large should be fine. For your son a medium would be good right now but if he grows a few inches he'd need a large so I'd probably go with a large as well. If you happen to live close to an Aventon Dealer, I'd recommend t at riding them to 100% know if the sizing will work. If that's not possible, i think you'd be fine with a large for both of you.
Can you run this with no pedal assist at all and does it just ride like a normal bike at that point. This thing is awesome might pick one up to joy ride after work
I rode it without the motor and it's not bad relative to any ebike really since it only weighs 52 lbs. I've had to ride 70 & 80 lbs ebikes for 5+ miles and that was not fun....but it's still 52 lbs which is about 20 lbs more than my regular bike.
nice review! you nailed all the things that I like and conflicted about ! I've been looking at the velotric (?) too, a step through one which has all the plus's, though without a dealer network..
Thanks for the question. I had a regular size (step over) and I'm 5'11"...Even though the regular is listed for someone up to 5'7", it actually fit me perfectly. Btw it's currently $1199 during their Labor Day weekend sale bit.ly/3Et3DrK
Thanks for the comment! IMO it's suitable for gravel trails bc of the stock tires but the lack of suspension makes it tougher to ride on trails w any bumps. As far as knobby tires, we haven't modified the Pace 500 but based on the clearance space i think it's something you could do. Btw Aventon has a BF sale for $200 off right now so the Pace 500 NextGen is $1499
I am large, 6 ft 4 inch 255lbs. I am shopping a cruiser e-bike. I keep coming back to the Pace 500, large. I do not have a local dealer. Any thought how I can figure our if a large would work for me. I’m in central Fl.
Hi Tom. It looks like there are several Aventon Dealers in the Orlando Area but check out their map to find the closest one to you (www.aventon.com/pages/electric-bike-shop-dealer-locator)..As far as sizing, Large will probab work for you. In addition to the Pace, I'd recommend test riding the Level.2 bc it has a suspension which may make riding more comfortable...At a dealer, you'll should be able to test ride the Pace, Level.2, Aventure and Aventure.2 and figure out which one you like the most. Good luck!
Hi and thank you for the question. I'm not certain since I can't find it listed anywhere. The original Pace 500 has 50 nm of torque so I'm guessing it's the same or similar. For a 500w motor it's does ok going up hills (better than other 500w motors we've ridden)...but still not an ebike I'd buy if i was riding up medium/big hills on a regular basis.
