Yes we can use. I have already performed short-cut distillation for the separation of multi-components in Aspen Plus. Please watch Lecture # 52 and 53.
Sir, I have a question. I have distillation tower with a top and product spec, also overhead vapour rate spec. But my column can not converge bcs the top spec and overhead vapour rate don't meet the spec that I defined. I have already check the feed condition, but I still don't know the problem's root. How can I solve this, Sir? Thank you~
I have a pre flash column which having a fired heater as a reboiler, I need to know how can I define reboiler flow, go to add spec then which option I select?
@@aspenchemchannel Dear sir I have install a cracked version of Aspen v10 but I can't use rigorous model of heat exchanger as explained in lecture 16 and I can't find the download link in lecture 2 So can you please reupload the link in your channel
Hello , Tnx for video . Please Read and Help Mate !!!!! I need little help. i have a problem with my feed after reactor and distillation tower. feed to reactor is 399k and i wanna go down to 350k , i am using duty stream to loss by 89kw as given information to me but temperature going down till 395k . how can use heat loss in reactor ?? Second : in distillation i have 2 spec about mole fraction , RR and 2 duty for condenser and reboiler . as given information i should specification 2 mole frac but i have no idea about RR and dutys and ref temp in reboiler , how they would effect ? i am using hysys.
You can use energy stream to reduce the temperature to 350K. Connect energy stream to the reactor, and then specify the outlet temperature of the reactor, which will provide you the value of heat. Regarding distillation, if you have any two values from RR, Duty, Mole fractions, you can solve the column. Untick RR and vapor mole flow from specifications, and add specifications of mole fractions required in the product.
Great follow up, making videos in series to make a brilliant connection concepts.
Great job 👍👏
Haris you are doing a great job dear!!
Thanks bro.
Thanks for this. Well explained
Can we use shortcut distillation on this type of multicomponents to get our data for the rigours distillation column?

Thanks for such a wonderful tutorial

Sir plz provide the link for free setuo of HYSYS.
Dear Qadeer
The link is provided in the description of Video # 2.

can you show for a packed column too?
Sure
