That white blouse looks perfect on you now that you added the breathing room with the lace, and the additional decorative trim. I voted for the leaf &pink buttons; your leaf buttons are my exact favorite color, a sage-ish green. Your pink buttons are also nice, reflecting the small pink floral print.
I love buttons and keep mine in a large repurposed cookie tin. A few weeks ago I bought a summer dress for $4.99 at a local thrift store. I was very happy to find it as it is my fave color & fit perfectly (a major issue for this old plus-size lady!) The hem is perfect just below the knees. The dress has princess seams & cap sleeves --- perfect in the hot Southern California, 100°F daytime temps we've had for over the past week! The cloth is lightweight white cotton knit printed in a sage background with white & darker sage floral/paisley designs.
It came with some nondescript white buttons and some empty buttonholes on the front of the dress. I knew it needed more & different buttons. I got out my stash of buttons and found 2 sheets of little identical flower-shaped flower shaped buttons in different colors. I bought them several years ago at a dollar store, and have used some of them mostly for craft projects. I don't have any sage colored buttons, but do have 12 perfect white flower buttons just right for the 11 buttonholes on my dress plus 1 spare. The buttons fit perfectly in the buttonholes. I am considering adding some additional adornment, but have more thinking to do. As of now, this is my new favorite dress. It is me!
Coincidentally, before reading your reply this morning, I decided to wear the dress today. It is so lightweight and cool to wear, I love it!
