    I have thick and dark brows and I used to hate them! Over the years, I've come to love them. I'm so happy I don't need to ever fill my eyebrows!

    i've heard rule of thumb is if you have dark brows go two shades lighter and if you have light brows to two shades darker. it also depends on your hair color and if you dye your hair.

    I totally agree with you about gurus that draw the line under and on the inner part of their brows. I think it looks awful. They do brow tutorials showing ppl to do it and i always notice they look way better and younger before they draw that on!

    I've been grooming and taking care of my brows ever since you posted how you do yours way back in the day and I'm so thankful cause I won't let anyone touch mine now haha! I have the same issue with coarse thick hairs so whatever works for you always works for me! Amazing video as always! Xo

    Instead of brow gel, I spray some hairspray on a spoolie brush an go through my brows and they stay in place all day :)

    I'm a redhead and the only brow powder/pencil I've ever found that doesn't look gray is Anastasia in caramel. If you have darker red hair the salon perfect/ardell powders you can find at cvs or walmart works well in taupe. It's just a little darker but still has the red tone despite the name. Also, I think brow gel makes my brows look to dark and stark, and I really enjoy using waxes for a softer look and feel. NYX makes a good one in pencil form.

    The eye makeup is going to depend on how dark or light my brows are gonna be. If I'm rocking a smokey eye then naturally I'm going to darken my brows. Depends on situation.

    I think bringing in someone with different style brows to yours, might help you demonstrate the "work with your brows" tip. Just a thought! :)

    Thanks for mentioning the tip for black eyebrows. Learned this last year and switching to a soft grey looks so much better than the browns I was trying to make work.

    one of the proudest moments of my life was when i was getting a manicure, the lady asked (without looking at me) if i needed a brow wax, and before i could answer, she looked at me and said "never mind, yours are good."

    I have very light, sparse, and gappy brows. Recently (in the last week) I found milani's brow marker in natural taupe. I've really been liking the look it gives. I can draw the individual hairs on and it looks really natural.

    Thanks for this, being a natural redhead finding a good brow product has been a nightmare!! Currently using Anastasia brow powder in Auburn or her brow pencil in Caramel.

    great tips tiffany! i love how you mentioned that we should just go with how our brows naturally are, and not try to completely change their shape. so true. and also how we shouldnt make a harsh line on the inner part, that always looks ridiculous. thanks for sharing, and btw your brows are so perfect :)

    I have the same dark thick brows too but I have a lot of gaps in my brows. I've been using The body shop brow powder in #2 color. I wish they didn't sell in 2 pack colors cuz the other color is super dark! I've hit major pan and am leary of trying a new product. Eek! The weird thing about my brows and lashes is the side I have my bangs swept to have the most hair and perfect thick lashes, the other side I have no tail at end of my brow and my lashes literally have huge chunks missing. I'm thinking the other side likes the protein from my hair. I started using DiorShow lash serum to help. I love that stuff!

    Have you ever tried the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil? I'm normally a brow powder kind of gal, but I've been loving the convenience of not having to use a brush.

    I dye my hair dark brown but I am a natural light blonde and my eyebrows are practically platinum blonde. It's hard for me to keep them a natural color when my hairs so dark without looking weird. What kind of color would you recommend for someone like me?

    • @MakeupByTiffanyD
      @MakeupByTiffanyD  10 років тому +2

      I'd do a few shades darker. Just because your hair is really dark, doesn't mean your brows have to be, but to balance it out a bit, you could grab for a more light- medium ashy brown.

    I over plucked my brows 3 years ago and letting them grow in my so ugly lol but it was worth it. They still don't grow in the inner part as thick so I have a hard time filling that area in and making it look more natural. I really just need some better products for my brows.

    I WAY over plucked mine when I was a teenager. Then I got a REALLY bad wax job and I've been trying to grow them for YEARS and they won't grow. I have heard that you can use topical romaine to get them growing.

      You should try coconut oil! It seriously helps and it's really cheap too!

    • @JessicaDiaries
      @JessicaDiaries 10 років тому

      I don't have any before and after pics, but coconut oil is like a miracle worker. I use it for softer more moisturised skin and to grow my hair.
      Carli Bybel also mentions it in her how to grow lashes and eyebrows video, but she mixes it with castor oil and avocado oil.
      Otherwise you can just google benefits of coconut oil and there are also several videos on youtube about it as well.
      Hope this helps and good luck! :)

    I sooooo know what you mean when people stamp that line on their inner part of their eyebrow. I catch myself staring at peoples too. I mean I know thicker eyebrows are in and all but like you said...make it more natural. You don't want to walk around looking like you got big hairy catipillars on your brows. Thanks for the tutorial!
