Thank you so much for this video! I've been on my spiritual journey for a few years now, and since discovering your channel, I’ve felt a deep connection and resonance within. Today, after some deep introspection, I decided to cut my long hair as a way to release the past and embrace a fresh start. This act symbolizes returning to the basics, recognizing the importance of honoring my true needs and abilities. With this video, I’m beginning my inner work slowly, at a pace that feels right for me. After practicing this breathwork, I gained more insight into myself than from any of the more advanced videos I’ve tried. Thank you again-I truly appreciate all the work you continue to do. 🙏❤
Really dig the gratitude component mid-breath. Focusing on those positive feelings is something I hadn’t tried intentionally during a hold. Really love that!
I appreciate so much your generosity in doing the guided breath work. I had long Covid for 2 years then discovered Wim Hof method, doing it by myself. Now I do one of your breath work sessions every day they’re calming and you explain everything so well, and I do cold water immersion almost every day. This has helped me recover, I can’t thank you enough!
One thing we all have in common is we all love Bibi and are grateful that his Mom and Dad take care of all his needs. I am so glad for Bibi, he has that beautiful garden to climb trees and be very monkey like and when he is inside the house, he is like the son of Lan Anh and Quan, congratulations on this one year and bringing lots of joy to the fans of your channel. All the best Jenny ( From Israel)
I am so thankful to have found you. This is the first breathing session I’ve done with you, and I feel as though weight has literally been lifted from my chest. During the final breath hold, emotion broke loose from my chest, and I cried in waves for about 10 minutes. I began the session because my body was so heavy and lacking of energy. That feeling is completely gone. I love your delivery and presence. I see myself spending a lot of time with your content.
Thank you very, very much. Following this guided exercise provided me with full awareness of my deficiencies as a human. I never thought breathing with this type of attention, fueled by the energy produced by this technique, would open doors so radically. This method provides a true look inward. I have a lot of work to do to create more truly loving moments. Sincerely…thank you.
Wow. I had so many different feelings in my body and in my mind. I really like this routine. I feel relaxed and peaceful. Thank you so much for your wisdom. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much, Kitaro! I find your take on the Wim Hof Method really refreshing and accesible. Also I personally like your super calm and relaxed Style very much. Please keep going, I am very glad to have stumbled upon your content.
I really appreciate you isolating the movements of the breathing technique. That is what I do with my classical guitar instruction and in my own practicing, because when you put the elements together, the full movement is so much more effective. Thank you!
I have been practising the WHM method for a couple of years and your session just got me to go a little deeper :) I feel such a sense of peace after this. I really like how you guide us through it. Thank you :)
100% one of the best breathing sessions anyone can have! I made a discovery during this session that I have been trying to understand since i started doing the breathwork. I found that i feel the best when I start slowly go near my full out in the middle and go slowly in the end or when I go intermidiently all the way. I think this is the concept that Buddha discovered and it is that you have to find ballance/ the middle way. When i go full out I feel insanly energetic but my muscles are very stiff at the end and it feels like getting shocked by an electric current. When i go slowly I cant really feel the effects. I still need to discover more so if someone feels the same as I do please spare some advice. Thank you
Thank you so much for this. It's really great and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your perspective on this. I get much better results now! Many many thanks!
I want to deeply thank you for this guided breathing this is what I needed ❤🎉 I’ve been song win hof breathing for his video for a long time but opening to yours guided one truly made me feel even better thank you a lot again 🙏🏾🔥
Great guided session, excellent voice and pace. Question: why the short retention periods ? On purpose for beginners? If so would you consider one session with longer retention periods ? I guess we can always pause the video and prologue the R period.
Would you have any tips for using breathe work as a way to fix dysfunctional movement patterns? My primary issue is that things are out of whack to the point where overhead movements are problematic. I'm pretty new to your channel so I wasn't sure if you covered this topic at all, although I do remember you saying in another video that you work on movement.
I have to swallow through the breathing exercise, when i hold my breath. I learned longe time ago, that this is a Signal of beeing stressed and need to breath in again (buteyco breathing). Do you agree? Thanks
Hi Kitaro, Thank you for these great videos. I'd like to ask you about meditation, is this this breathing technique close to meditation? (without holding breath) Do you have a dedicated video for meditation? I feel you would explain it better than anyone else here on UA-cam. Thank you Kitaro..
Best spacing of the rounds i found so far. I also liked the breath awareness at the beginning, somehow it gives me more control on the waves. Thanks! I ll be trying any other version you might publish :)
With the Wim Hof Method breathing your blood will get more alkaline because you're offloading a lot of carbon dioxide with the hyperventilation-like breathing.
i felt such immense panic and fear during the breathwork, is that normal? i really liked working through it and experiencing the relief of stillness at the end and i feel incredibly energized, so its definitely working, id guess. just curious if that fear is normal at the beginning. anyways huge thank u, i feel great ♡
Breathwork can be considered a form of 'somatic experiencing', which means it is a way of using our bodies to overcome psychological trauma. By moving the breath and the energy through the body, you are able to move trauma out. From the intensity of your description, perhaps you have uncovered and overcome (or begun to) something of that nature. Or maybe as Kitaro said, you were just going too hard too soon :)
Emotional release is very normal. Don’t be alarmed and do feel like you can slow down or stop anytime it gets to scary. The breathing is there to help you but it’s not a nasty medicine you have to force down. It’s something you take in the dose of your own choosing.
I did all the breath holds and instruction why don't I feel anything while breathinng exercise and after? I mean happy memories poped up while breath retention and I got nostalgic but that's all. Is it supposed to be like that? Or I am just numb person?
Thank you for making this video. Really like the calm manner in wich you speak, definitely helps! Even though I feel a lot better after finishing the complete exercise I still can't manage to hold my breath longer then 1 minute, I also hardly get all the sensations other people speak off.
Thank you for watching my other videos, Justin. Give it a little bit time. Strong inhales and relaxed exhales must be trained. Expand your inhale's capacity and speed over time and work on relaxing every part of your body.
@@KitaroWaga Thanks for replying Kitaro! I've managed to hold my breath for 90 seconds and longer several times now. Deeper inhales really helped. And just like you said on your other reply, tension and overthinking is not helping. I try to not judge myself if I don't succeed a long retention as I'm still fairly new and just need practice. That mindset along with not trying to overthink really helped. You got yourself a new subscriber and I look forward to see more of your content.
Could you make another video like this but with a much longer retention span for holding the breath? I feel like I can do 2 min minimum. It’s hard to count for urself and I don’t wanna distract myself when doing it.
I felt like tingeling sensation but in a way that my fingers were losing ”blod circulation” but maybe that’s the part of the tingeling sensation that Wim Hof says. Anyways I’m off to a cold shower now ! 🙌🏻
can you help - do i do the breath cycle before or during an ice plunge and how soon do you have to get in after the breathing to be effective? does a few minutes in between matter?
Never do the breathwork/hold during an ice plunge. You can do it before to prepare your mind. How long before taking an ice bath?🤔 I think you need to test it out. No need to rush it but I think the mental effects are the stongest if you take the plunge within 30 min after your breathwork session. But then again, doing the breathwork is not a requirement for taking an ice bath - you can also do them separately 😉
I really enjoy your videos but could you maybe make your sound a little louder in the next videos? Because when I listen on my mobile I need to turn the volume all the way up and when an ad comes up it is super loud. 😅
"When we open our hearts, the tears come" I think crying can be a sign of allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and un-guard / open our hearts, even if only for a moment. And in remembering those joyous and gratitude filled moments, we sometimes remember how long it has been since we felt such things with such strength of emotion, and this realisation can make us almost sad, but in a positive way, as it reminds us what we are aiming for and how things can be.
I’ve been doing this breathing a long time and attended several events with Wim Hof, and crying is absolutely normal. Allow yourself to cry, but don’t become dependent on it or expect it to happen every time. Just let happen what will happen.
