@@patrickdonovan4353 I was a massive Dave Matthew's Band fan up until about 2010. He sounds way to high now and he over emphasizes literally everything. I went from loving him to never wanting to go to a concert again. Just my two cent's. U2 is a global band. Bigger than the Beatles now with the catalog to prove it.
Fun fact: the band almost fired Bono because of the length of Bad (he did save the girl from being crushed). That whole segment was improvised. They did Sunday Bloody Sunday & were supposed to do Pride, but Bad took up all the time. Amazing that that performance of Bad was 1 if not the best of that day
Back in the day, The Los Angeles Kings would come out to the ice at Staples Center with this song blasting on the PA. You'd hear that long guitar build up and then the Kings would come flying out of the tunnel right as the song hit it's crescendo. F'ing incredible memories.
One of the Best live Band to this Day. 40+ years together and still going strong. Awesome Live Aid performance also their concert Live at Slane Castle. You can’t go wrong with the U2 catalog. Enjoy 🎶🎶🎶
One of their signature iconic songs...but they have such a wide catalog from their 40+ years as a band...lots of great U2 music to make discover!! U2 was boss in the 80s...and they’re boss to this day! The lead singer Bono turned 60 a few months back and still has an amazing voice. They’re the best live band I’ve ever seen!
I'm shocked to see only 11 views, no likes & no comments?? Can't have that so I must say U2 is incredible, many more great songs! Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride (In the Name of Love), All I Want is You, Bad ❤
I saw The Joshua Tree Tour in the 80’s at Giant Stadium and U2 puts on an amazing show and they sound so good live. I’ve seen them 3 times but the Joshua tree tour was my favorite
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For has been covered a lot, and there are numerous gospel renditions. The impact of their music runs far and wide.
I LOVED YOUR REACTION!!! U2 is one of the best bands ever. Once you've heard The Edge's guitar - you'll always know it. Bono's voice is perfection. Song writing is stellar. "The Joshua Tree" is one of my top 10 albums I would take if stranded on a desert island. Great reaction!
This video. This song give goosebumps 🥺 . You felt exactly what this guitar gave to us. This one of bests stadium musics. You need to see this song live on Dublin in 2001
I read that 1000+ people were lucky enough to be part of the crowd on the ground watching this. I was 20 years old and living in Birmingham AL but I would’ve given my right arm to have been living in LA in 1987 and to have been one of the lucky ones that got to witness this first hand!
You will definitely enjoy the song called Bad, which was filmed during the Live Aid concert at Wembley Stadium for Ethiopian famine relief on 13 July 1985. Very powerful and inspirational!
I love them !!! They are from Dublin, Ireland. In the 1980s during their first U.S. tour, Lead vocals - Paul Hewson aka. Bono !!! This was when they were young men, early twenties !!! I Love Bono !!!
U2 stop the traffic !!. We love U2 ( you too)
Ok check the song " Pride " it' was written in 1984 and the song is Dedicated to MLK and do the official video which was recorded in Dublin the actual song was recorded in slane castle along with the album the unforgettable Fire 🔥
Hey, I lived at the Frontier Hotel back in the early 90's. Off of 5th and Main Street. I loved Downtown LA back then. Wholesale shopping, clothes and stereos and stuff. Mom and pop restaurants all over. It was great.
What a amazing video it was. la police department was shutting down something really special that day shame on them that concert should have a special place in music history if they let the show go ahead. 👍
I had to work that day or I would have been there! My license plate When I go there I go there with you :) 8> 40 year U2 fan here! Best band in the world!!!!!
I very much respect people who have an open mind like you. From Northern Ireland, U2's message represents and speaks to all of humanity. Please watch, listen to especially "Pride", their dedication to Martin Luther King (also one of my heroes).
I love U2 and this one is grest! Never got to see them live. Have fun listening to their music. Joshua Tree was my favorite albums. I had a huge crush on Bono lol.
You should watch U2's "All Because of You" music video. They filmed it in New York City riding on the back of a flat bed truck and there's another video where they recorded all what happened before, during, and after they filmed the video.
U2 suggestions (from Rattle and Hum): "When Love Comes to Town" (featuring the late, great B.B.King) and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". Hell, just check out the whole Joshua Tree album nd Rattle and Hum album & film
I'm a self admitted U2 junkie (everyone please don't take offense to that word). Listen to the entire War album, if you can find Under a Blood Red Sky, the video for the War album, it's amazing. You can look up U2 War and it will give you videos of the songs they played live at that show. War goes back to 1983. I promise that you won't be disappointed
The radio stations really screwed this up for the fans. U2 knew their concert was sold out, HAD been sold out for months, and they wanted to do something for the people who couldn't get tickets. So they went to one of the poorer neighborhoods in L.A. to record a few live songs. A free mini concert for people. But... the radio stations went a little bit nutters and kept announcing the day, time and location of the shoot, while telling people to bring as many friends as they could to make a big crowd. In the end, that's what got them shut down. Got to love U2 tho. Kinda flipped off the cops and recorded one song at least.
4 words: greatest live band period
Agreed 💯💯
3 words: Dave Matthew’s Band
@@patrickdonovan4353 1 word: Nah

U2s Rattle and Humm album and Achtung Baby album are great.
The Joshua Tree also dude. And The Unforgettable fire...
Gotta listen to the whole Joshua Tree album. It is Epic!
Grew up on this cassette! Yes, in the '80s we had cassettes😂😂 Favorite band for decades.
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For has been covered a lot, and there are numerous gospel renditions. The impact of their music runs far and wide.
I recommend a song called Pride by U2 in respect to Dr. Martin Luther King!!!
And their song called MLK

U2 best live band ever!
They have other musicians with them ssshhhh…
Yeeessss mate you got it straight away bopping in your chair love from England ✊
Also surprised this video has so few views. I came for the Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin but U2 is great. New Year’s Day is my favorite of theirs
@@dmont bummer that they did that, but glad it’s unblocked now!!

I love everything U2 but this has to be my favorite
U2 stop the traffic !!.

Lech Walesa too.
The cops could have no idea that Bono has his crowd in the palm of his hand.
My fav band of all time.

Pride is one of my fav songs by U2. Yup, it was about MLK.
I’ll probably sound old but this always makes me feel crazy nostalgic, life/the world was waaaaaay better back then!
I love the Powerline T-shirt!

40 year U2 fan here!
Best band in the world!!!!!
They also did a gig on the back of a lorry going through some town in the States, ending with doing a mini concert under a bridge.
One of the best bands.
I very much respect people who have an open mind like you. From Northern Ireland, U2's message represents and speaks to all of humanity. Please watch, listen to especially "Pride", their dedication to Martin Luther King (also one of my heroes).
I love that picture of MJ on your wall. Have to get that.
If you really want to get a sense of U2, react to their version of Sunday Bloody Sunday from Rattle and Hum.
2 U2 cuts you gotta check out,,,,,,,,,,, 1. A man and a woman 2. Magnificent..................oh and 3. Refugee........an oldie but a goodie
Miss those days for sure, it was a different vibe. LA was a different place.
What a cool "stage"!!!! I love this video!
I love U2 and this one is grest! Never got to see them live. Have fun listening to their music. Joshua Tree was my favorite albums. I had a huge crush on Bono lol.
Amazing Grace Intro U2 - the most amazing Vocals Bono sings his vocal chords out on that one . It’s absolutely beautiful
Check out their Super Bowl halftime show in January 2002. A few months after 9/11. An epic performance by an epic band.
Drowning man please 🙏🏽 please look at it - the vocal ability of Bono, the melody, the electric violin - a gift from God
Try "pride, in the name of love " from u2 .
Becoming a fan of U2, you can't go wrong
Love you
Great reaction babe

I WAS THERE and the LA COPS DID NOT want to shut it down!!! Only issue was traffic on the 710, 101, 405
This isn’t a live singing of it this is the studio track he’s miming
You should watch U2's "All Because of You" music video. They filmed it in New York City riding on the back of a flat bed truck and there's another video where they recorded all what happened before, during, and after they filmed the video.

'Running to stand still' from Zoo TV Tour
They were superb at that time...
Cool song.
U2 suggestions (from Rattle and Hum): "When Love Comes to Town" (featuring the late, great B.B.King) and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".

Love those Irish boys!
Another great live roof-top performance is the Beatles. Their last live performance.
Nice Powerline T-shirt!
Gostei da reação, ótimo trabalho
Maybe their best song, and that's saying something.
thats how you bring the music to the people. I understand the police perspective but maybe they didnt know noone was gonna get hurt.
U2 One with Mary Blige
They played the song several times that day (and Pride) until the police said.. STOP haha
For one day in LA in the 1980s people forgot to hate each other and the music set them free
One take. They shut it down about five seconds into the second take - which, it turns out, wasn't needed. U2 are the best. :)
U2 @ Glastonbury is worth watching as well. Recreated part of the Zoo TV tour.
A song about Africa's many streets with no name.
the beatles did this first but still a GREAT song
