- Today I can present to YOU the full Drive & Sound of the recently revealed 2016 / 2017 Porsche 911 "Facelift" (991.2) now featuring a 3.0 Biturbo Flat-Six instead of the previous 3.8 naturally aspirated engine. Engine specs are 420 hp and 500 Nm, through 4WD and a 7-speed PDK (weight: 1.510 kg). Many people have argued that adding a Turbo would kill the pure and nostalgic noise with those modern "Carrera Turbos", but I think this video proofs that everything is on the bright side! In terms of acceleration figures this new generation is just driving circles around the old one and smashes the 3.8 in pretty much every discipline on the Autobahn. The overall acceleration to 200 km/h is about 3 sec. faster, to 250 its 6 secs. faster!!! Mein Nachbar hat sich den Porsche aufgrund seines Firmenjubiläums gekauft - jedes mal wenn er den Wagen startet kriege ich Gänsehaut. Selten so ein unglaublich lautes Auto gehört. Ein anderer Nachbar fährt einen AMG SL65, und tatsächlich ist der Porsche deutlich lauter.

The 991.1 sounds much better than 991.2 because of no turbos. Always go N\A for best sound!

I got a 2019 C4S two days ago and loving it, coming from a Shelby 350. I have sports chrono and PDDC too. I’ve had a 997.1 and a 997.2 C4S, and the 991 is the best of all.
I arrived at my 991.2 from a Shelby GT350, as well! The Ford was fun, but the Porsche is in another league regarding handling and poise.
@@glennseitz2453 yes I’m not missing the Shelby at all. The 911 is just as fast and is much more balanced and better handling. I’ve got real axle steering too, and that’s really amazing. It’s going to be pricey to maintain but I knew that going in.
I just love this car, especially as convertible...

abgesehen von der Farbe mein absolutes Traumauto. Carrera 4 sieht nochmal geiler aus als der Standard Carrera und die 2te Generation 991 sieht nochmal besser aus als die 1. Generation.
Wenn Ich Geld hätte würde ich mir genau dieses Auto kaufen in einer metallic schwarz/silber/delphin Farbe mit Panoramadach.

You could never do that sensibly until the 2017 model on all Porsche's. Best new feature and hopefully someone does video showing it in detail.

+Huracanus Ja, wie gesagt wir tasten uns langsam ran;) Nach diesen Aufnahmen kam dann aber auch der erste Drohnen-Kontak mit einem Ast und der Drehtag war erstmal beendet....macht ja auch viel Sinn wenn man keine Übung hat erstmal hinter einem fahrenden Auto durch eine Allee zu fliegen :)

interesting, you can have car for half the price with more horsepower. 911 is more about handling than Hp number, either way 911 c4s remaps are pretty wild.

+Daniël Scott Just for noise reduction as it allows more "raw" frequencies to get through you probably would not like all the time.
Sounds very 911ish there's the Turbo sound but I could definitely live with it!

Der Testwagen sieht wirklich traumhaft aus. Die Farbe steht ihm unglaublich gut und das Design des 911er ist ohnehin super gelungen. Das Leuchtband am Heck gefällt mir persönlich sehr gut, aber dieser mittig angeordnete Doppelauspuff, ich weiß nicht... erinnert so ein bisschen an einen R32. Da fand ich die Rohre links und rechts außen passender. Die Drohnenaufnahmen sind übrigens absolut sehenswert, macht was her und hat nicht jeder.

Gloves? Come on, I mean on a leather stearing wheel? I would understand if it was on a alcantara wheel but.... That's a bit next level!
That reasoning makes no sense really...If the steering wheel was Alcantara there would be no need for gloves as the suede has plenty of texture and therefore grip....Leather otoh can get slippery.....Besides that, those gloves are cool and are Automaan's trademark identifying feature.

+Sebastian Peters Ganz unterschiedliche Fahrzeuge. Ich würde sagen, dass dieser C4S selbst einem GTS in ziemlich allen Lebenslagen ebenbürtig ist, was die Performance anbelangt. Dennoch sind es natürlich völlig unterschiedliche Charaktere die sich ganz unterschiedlich anfühlen. Der AMG GT ist eher ein Gran Turismo, der Porsche der aus meiner Sicht unglaubliche Spagat zwischen Alltag und Nordschleife. Ich würde sagen in den Kasseler Bergen fährt der Porsche vorne weg.

Der facegeliftete 991 gefällt mir iwie gar nicht. Würde mir lieber den 991.1 carrera s kaufen. Schön noch mit dem alten sauger. Porsche und ferrari sind wirklich die letzten marken die dem turbo wahn hätten aufspringen sollen.
+Yavuz Selim Han Osmanoglu Am besten mal beide (991.1 und 991.2) hintereinander fahren und dann entscheiden. Über optische Retuschen mag man streiten aber was die Motor-Getriebe-Einheit angeht hat der "neue" alle Argumente auf seiner Seite finde ich. Wenn du von diesem wieder zurück in den Sauger steigst bist du irgendwie enttäuscht....glaub mir, ich habs letzte Woche erfahren "müssen" ;)
+Automann-TV sehe ich gleich! Bin mal gespannt wie der neue Carrera 4 GTS wird. Bin mit dem 991 letztens gefahren und muss sagen: "brachial" mal sehen wann der neue kommt. Aber dazu wird sicher auch eine Review kommen ;)

Porsche is always verry conservative with its figure claims, becaus ethey also have to fit in Abu Dhabi at 45°C without a intercooler.

Arad Kaplan I have a 911.2 Turbo and the results differ within the seasons and temperature.
More cold, more performance, because the air is much tighter and contains more oxygene. More oxygene in the combustion chamber allows to burn more fuel and hence to develope more power as also better 0-X times.
