- P3HD is updated for PCSX2 1.7 and AetherSX2, alongside all its supported platforms including Windows PC, Linux, Android and the Steam Deck!
TrueHD is built for PPSSPP and its platforms, including Windows PC, Linux, Android, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S!
(Other systems for both mods may be compatible but are not known to be supported or tested.)

I'm seeing a lot of people say these projects are "better than Atlus" or something similar. That is not our intention. These projects were started before Atlus decided to release P3P to all consoles. Our goal isn't to be "better than Atlus," we're just modding the games we love, just like any other modding community.
And it's because of this line that we KNOW you guys are doing a better job than them: we're just modding the games we love.
@@advmx3 And Atlus is doing it for survival because that's their job, like bruh, Persona isn't their only franchise, don't forget Persona is just a spin-off that ended up more popular than the original series, they have a ton to work with instead of just Persona, and yes, of course a team of a ton of modders dedicated to only this will be better than a company that has tons of games to worry about, not that I don't find these mods incredible, I absolutely love them, but c'mon that phrase isn't all that.

Now, this is a proper HD remaster! One random detail I really like is the individually colored shadows for everyone's battle portraits (the smile I made when I saw Yukari's pink-lined portrait 😍). Everything looks so sleek and the random blur in everyone's everyday portraits is gone too! (I used to wish for days like this) Thank you and keep up the good work! I sincerely hope that anyone planning to buy Atlus' P3P port finds your mods first you're all already kicking their butts with your P3P remaster and then you all one-up them even more with your FES remaster, it's just not fair.

I played P3P twice on PSP 6 or 7 years ago. Persona 5 on PS3 3 years ago. Persona 4 on PS3 a year ago. So I'm not looking forward to these. Excited to play Royal and praying Persona 6 comes to Switch.

Party control in P3FES is what I was expecting Atlus to do with the new port to every platform and I'm kinda disappointed that they decided to just port the P3P alone (not that it's a bad thing, but the 3D everything, not just in battle is a huge upgrade for me compare to just png talking in psp version). Awesome mod btw, definitely going to check this out if I missed playing Persona 3 again.
atlus exclusively porting p3p to consoles with players who’ve never touched a persona game as opposed to fes is definitely a bad thing in my opinion

And has in-game body condition party members including yourself that will affect your gameplay on Tartarus, if you're too sick then you'll gonna have 50% miss the attack and reduced the damage and if the member is sick, they can't joining you to Tartarus and automatically return to dormitory when you go back to the main entrance
Also, in FES you can have Fusion Skill by having two respectively Persona that can do that but in P3P they changed it to Item Skill (which IMO is a very dumb decision)
@@sumanaiii4552 yeah, as @Rei Syre said, but they could easily fix this and even if they didn’t fix it it’s still worth it just because it’s so much better than p3p in every aspect other than combat and the few quality of life changes
@@SpcDumpstr From what I've been reading on FES, they'd have to remake the game from the ground up to get it to work. The coding is apparently a mess.
I am both happy and sad that the modding community can handle remasters better than Atlus itself. This is amazing

I feel like I'm the only one that enjoys no party control in FES. It adds an extra layer of difficulty and makes the party members feel more alive IMO
You're not alone. I always thought that the AI in P3FES was not that terrible. For example, look to P4 and P5... that was just horrible.
And yeah, I like that the party members feels so much alive.

I feel like Persona 3 with party control would make the game too easy like Persona 4 Golden is.

@@frey5218 yeah, the P3P port Atlus announced for all platforms. P4G already has nice balance, QoL and HD mods to make it a top experience, I believe same could be done with P3 for the definitive experience!

Persona 3 was always in that weird transition phase between P2 and P4, where it had 3D models and environments, but still had the camera angles from P2.

Yeah, except, you know...P3 doesn't have the camera angles of P2. It would be impossible for it to have the same camera angles of a nearly top down game.
@@FuzzyDlop It does. Both use the semi-bird's eye view from a corner. Which you can freely move above the protagonist's head.

P4's exploration outside of Yasogami does so too, but they begin shifting to a lower side camera as it goes, until we get to P5's near constant over the shoulder cam. It still zooms out somewhat for wider shots.

Thanks, I was so sad when they announced they're only gonna do portable, I knew Atlus was too dismissive of 3 to combine the two versions but I at least thought they woluld release both as seperate copies, suffice to say they've surpassed my expectations yet again.

Once I get a more capable pc (mine is stuck on windows 7 and can only barely handle p3fes at its default resolution) I’m gonna be replaying fes like this, cause the low resolution of everything did kinda take away from the experience compared to playing the p4g multi platform release

@@e-manyvelez7430 You're comparing a multi billion dollar company that hired an external team to do their work to Atlus, a small AA studio with 3 teams in total and 15% of the workforce of Rockstar. Atlus doesn't have a team that can work on remasters and they don't have resources to pay external teams to do it. Also because they would have to pay for those remasters/ports instead of putting more money into new games. There's no comparison between the two situations.
Atlus was lazy and just wanted something that was cheaper and more affordable. Rockstar hired a terrible team to do the job.

@@shinatoarisato167 FES sucks tbh, it made sense why atlus would port p3p instead, the answer was terrible, and even if they managed to add party control FEMc is overall better content that incentivizes a second playthrough.
The only real loss here are the anime cutscenes.
That P3 FES HD mod is what Atlus should've given to us.

I hope one day they'll remaster P3 to have both protags be playable in the overworld instead of just having a text adventure for portable. But considering how Atlus is now it probably won't be for awhile. Maybe for the next anniversary
I doubt it. I would imagine P1 and/or the two P2 games will get remade first since they are in much worse shape. P3P is still 90% the same experience without the 3D overworld.
@@amuroray88 I've always wished they'd remaster P1 and the P2 duology. But I also hope that either before or after they fuse p3p and FES. I see no reason not to all it would require is some effort
@@pickedceasar1216 Because to do that would either require a ground up remake (probably not worth the effort since it would effectively be making a new game with old blueprints) or extremely heavy modification to the existing code (of which may break the game during development and require as much effort as a remake to get working). I'd rather have a slightly worse P3 port if in the long term it means a P3/4 style P1 and P2 set.
@@amuroray88 no it would not they could easily port over most of the assets from FES. The only effort they'd actually have to put in is updating the new content from portable as well as making a high rez model for the female protag.
Like that's genuinely more likely than literally remaking 1&2 which are 3 full games that would have to be reworked to fit modern SMT/Persona style combat as well as hiring/getting the voice talent
This is amazing! The quality of the trailer is as good as the mod itself! For P3P I'd rather just wait until it comes out Switch so I can play it wherever I want but the P3FES HD looks so good, and the fact that it works so seamlessly with other QoL mods is perfect. Keep up the amazing work.

To this day, I still prefer FES over Reload. Not that Reload is a bad game(Aside from bad voice acting). Its just that Reload is way too modernized and they altered the dark atmosphere original game had. So I am happy that you made this HD mod.

Pretty great trailer you got there keep up the good work. Therefore we will give Atlus more time to finish their product official remastered of Persona 3 portable on 2023 release; and hopefully what kind of project mod games are their going to do next, maybe the fan translation of original Devil summoner or the remastered mod of Persona 1 and 2 duology.
P3Portable is not a remaster, it's just a cheap port of a garbage version of the game.

the p3p hd team just gave up because of the port and reload. fes is still actively supported

I am glad I had seen this a while back cause I had done a little mock up just to imagine a bit of what the Ideal P3P HD would look like. A shame Atlus went the AI upscale route with not so good results. Its interesting how fans have been able to get better results for AI upscale especially with having to re draw some assets.
