Nice video. Definitely great to support my understanding of the notes. A lot of people get confused that 1 note = 1 to 2 points, 2 notes = 3 to 4 points, and 3 notes = 5 to 6 as it is never stated so in the game. To share some insight, I usually only did stat boosting activities at night time as most social links are after school only, so movies and afternoon work was usually never an option for me. At the beginning, I went to wakatsu, wild duck, and hagakure for the two notes, but I wondered why the arcades also gave the same notes despite being more expensive as I forgot about the point difference between notes. I was loosely following a guide when I realized I was behind because I did the cheaper option. So definitely focus on arcades at the beginning to get the most points out of your time, but the big thing is when you unlock the hagakure bowl and seafood platter for 4 points as they are cheaper but locked to certain ranks in your social stats. Follow the golden hand hunting strategy video on this channel for easy no-effort money farm! Edit: fyi, following this method after messing up a bit at the beginning, I am at 6 courage, 5 charm, and 4 academics in the middle of july.
I had no idea about the note points! I just have one question, I had heard donating 10k to the shrine gave 3 but I only seemed to get 2 notes? And like you said, the arcade seemed to give the same notes as the others. So do you mean the arcade is giving 4 points instead of the 3 I assume you get from the others? This is really a big deal that people should know about, I had no idea and I've played p5 before. I'm realising now when they said it gave 3, then 2 notes was correct for 3 points. So silly.
Anybody know the stats on the part time jobs? They give one note in two different stats each. Are they giving 2 points to one stat and 1 point to another, or just straight 1 point to both stats every time? If they can give a total of three points, then they'd clearly be the best alternative to doing the Arcade when they're available, especially super early on before you can grind out Tartar Sauce efficiently. (If you're playing Merciless, best to delay your first voluntary excursion until at least after you can buy police station equipment on discount and grab some Social Links along the way, so it would be helpful knowing how much of a dent in Social Ranks progress doing the jobs during that time actually is.)
