This is the answer if you're rendering in cycles: Render Properties>Light Paths>Transparent Then just increase the number until you like it. (for me it was around 16-20 before it looked good.)
How did you get it to work in 3.0 ? I'm tryiing and after fiddling with the files, I got it to work in one instance of Blender but after that I cannot get it to work at all.

my shrubs and grass exports from Bridge are already setup correctly in the shader, but they still look bad in cycles. (Eevee they look fine)
