If you prefer instruments and don't appreciate her vocal so much, think - maybe that's why they stay in business longer than you. :)
This is a great performance song. Maybe better than the studio version. Yet without hearing the studio version, I feel people are usually a little underwhelmed by this song live. Jinjer also never ends a show in the cliche drawn out manner, when the song is supposed to end, it ends. So a lot of reactors are surprised when it ends. They haven't closed with this song in awhile. If you want some real instrument forward songs I would suggest Ape, Retrospection, Sit Stay Roll Over, or Teacher Teacher. However, they are one unit, there is rarely a guitar solo, there are generally vocals present, and they all complement each other. This is the ultimate selfless band. No drawn out instrumental interludes. This isn't Gojira or Tool. So be warned if that is what you are after.

To those which´s are confused about the end up the show with Perennial.
Jinjer did this show at 11am and on 2nd stage.
Some tech issues ´caused a delay for Jinjer so they had to cut their set-list.
Not easy in such a short time.
Search for Jinjer WOA 2019 part 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 you´ll see the whole show.
Interesting see how Tati´s moving around the stage at that camera angle too.
I love them. Next level for metal/hardcore.

I like this song, but it is a kinda 'radio friendly' standard metal song, if you know what I mean. If you want something more guitar driven with some funky time signatures, try 'Ape', which is off the same album as this, or maybe 'Home back' off their most recent album (one of my favourites, and without giving too much away, unique and suprising :-) )
You should know by now that they don't write "radio friendly" songs on purpose, they write songs that fit what they're trying to say with those songs. ; )
Wacken is the largest all Metal 3 Day open Air Festival ---- in Germany - been there every year times till my health went down the hill ...
Teacher Teacher next, then On The Top, Retrospection, Pit of Consciousness, Judgement and Punishment and on, and on, and on. They have no bad songs.
Sounds like you want the harder stuff. This is kinda their 4th lightest. For a piece that is way more guitar & bass -driven, check out Judgement & Punishment live in Melbourne. Who Is Gonna Be The One has epic guitar and bass too. Another one with great guitar is Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev - and the most savage growls of anything they have released. It’s an “OD” guitar (Omer Deutsch). A “Venus”, I think. He ditched the multiscale recently.
Him and Eugene said both their guitars are customs from him on a random interview I saw. It was a Russian sounding name, so I'm guessing it's still what you said.

Honestly, I didn't care for this song much when I first heard it, but over time it grew on me. It's a very complex song and the more I listened to it the more I noticed all the little details and the more I liked it. Now it's in my top 3 Jinjer songs with Cloud Factory and Pit of Consciousness.
There are a lot of Jinjer songs that just hit hard, I'm sure others will recommend, but this one is more of a creative work -from the instrumentals to the lyrics to the music video

Roman plays a OD Venus, and yes with the multi scale fretboard. Makes those drop C and A tunings ring much clearer.
When I was still playing professionally, the fanned frets wasn't widely used. We played in drop B flat and having a guitar with that setup would have been ridiculously helpful lol thanks for the info!
Roman didn't use the Venus for the old drop C songs, he used the Rhea, which is a regular scale guitar.

Ha, I am one of those guys that just stands there. You nailed it though. I really don’t get into head banging and what else am I supposed to do. Doesn’t mean I’m not into it and don’t feel the chills run through me from time to time. I am glad there are plenty of headbangers around though to keep the band pumped.
Gojira are huge influences and they are huge fans of the band.
Oh and now you have to do Teacher, Teacher. In my opinion, their best song, it's got it all.

Hey Tim, you should check out the band Conquering Dystopia. They have some play through videos posted. Jeff Loomis and your fellow Portland resident Keith Merrow are in the band. Inexhaustible Savagery and Tethys are a couple of great ones. I saw them live several years ago and they were incredible.

Music festivals are long, many bands, fans get tired, hot, beat down.
Maybe try listening without pausing or commenting on everything. Might keep your attention better.

Like I keep saying: perennial is an average song by Jinjer. You should try On the Top Live in Kiev. Much, much better. Sit Stay Roll over, which is being suggested here as well, is loud, but that's it. Not special enough imo. You said: more guitar, less singing and louder. On The Top. Live. In Kiev. That's my suggestion, because I know for sure you will like that much more.

@@BookofTerrors well...maybe. It happens. No matter how much we love the band, not everyone will be into their music as much as we are. I am experiencing this with Disturbed. I love them more than any other band or artist. But most people dismiss them. It happens. Is nice of him that was honest about how he feels so we have to respect that.
Personally, I enjoy the official video more than this live performance.

I'm kinda thinking this vid is what drags on. Coming from a washed up metal guitarist commenting on a band blowing the fuck up. I'm sure you guys did a 41 city u.s tour.. lol
Not sure why there's all the 👎's to be honest. I absolutely love this song & performance, but for me, it was an odd choice to close out the set. Anways, like other people are mentioning, they have plenty more songs that should slide into your wheelhouse.
