    Excellent. Just the amount of control that I need. So far only worked with grainy fills that cover the total shape, or a straight linear grainy gradients, which is already better but not suited for curvy shapes. Had to grab a .png with a circular gradient for these shapes, but not anymore!

    I can see below that lots of people struggled with white showing up when they would set the object transparency to "screen". Looks like the general fix was changing it from CMYK to RGB. However my document is set to RGB and this white is still showing up even though I've duplicated the object to make sure there is a color layer underneath. What am I doing incorrectly?

    • @CosminSerbanDesign
      @CosminSerbanDesign  4 роки тому +1

      Is that element place on top of a colored shape? Maybe try creating a new one that only has a simple gradient and check if the screen option works, then apply the effect, let me know if that works 🙏

  • @GeertThePirate
    @GeertThePirate 5 років тому +12

    When I add the texture they overlap the object lines so when I put the transparency to screen black squares are seen on the outside of the object, is there a way to fix this?

  • @RoxiLog
    @RoxiLog 4 роки тому +2

    Hi, may I know if you duplicate the shape? So that the other one will have the grain effect, and the one behind it will see the true color of the illustration.

      I figured this out. One very important thing I noticed is that, in the Appearance tab, we can move the 'Grain' layer into the 'Fill'. And this completely changes the blending options. You did very well in sharing this, my dear Cosmin Serban! Thank you very much! Usually I did it through brushes but now you've opened doors! Do you have Dribble? If yes, I will follow you (mine is @lucasbraga). All the best!
