i literally only get hungry for like 15 min each morning and about an hour before i know i'm going to eat. most of the hunger we feel is mental.

I have to bear witness to my sister, Sadiyah. I've been practicing one meal a day since 1989 as well as fasting 3 days a month. Many people are amazed when they learn how old I am. I DO NOT LOOK MY AGE. Have I been ultra strict on eating this way? No I have not. For the most part I've been submitting to this practice and have yielded the results that were promised. Because of one meal a day, I dont require the same amount of sleep that others need and I rarely get sick from common colds. I work in the commercial building trades and I still eat once a day. This manner of eating can be done even if you're working out for fitness purposes. Try it.

Please don't shoot the messenger. While you may not agree with her religion, you have to agree that we eat too much and need to focus on what our over-eating is doing to us. It is time to make changes and be willing to accept that what we believe may not be correct (regarding three meals a day). I have been intermittent fasting for over two years and my health has responded in a positive way, in part with a weight loss of over 40 lbs....and I have not gained it back. This is my lifestyle now and I will never look back! Listen to what she is saying and do not be so quick to judge! Thank you for sharing!!!!!

I eat one meal on Sunday, no food on Monday, one meal on Tuesday, no food on Wednesday, one meal on Thursday, no food on Friday and one meal on Saturday. Never hungry on “no food” days. Eat until I am full on “eating days” and consume all food during a two to three hour period on “eating days.” I feel great and have lots of energy. Thank you!

What's extreme is wolfing down 6 to 8 meals a day even if they're small ones....that's like working out 3,4,5,6,7 times a day.....your muscles need rest and so does your stomach. The problem is trying to teach these things to standard americans wich are to mentally handicapped to do their own research. The standard american diet is clogging their brain funcion therefore they have become subhuman. Thats why its a SAD diet. i have been on 1 meal a day for only 3 days and i already see everything my whole mind body and spirit is changing.

That is because your stomach shrinks when you eat very little for a long period of time.
I was homeless for a few years starting at the age of 18, and when I got back on my feet I found it tortuous to eat a regular amount of food for a while.
You literally have to force feed yourself until your stomach stretches back to a normal size.

I bear witness to the truth of one meal a day. My skin just glowed and I had so much energy until that demon sugar was reintroduced into my life by ME. Sugar makes you hungry all the time. Eating makes you hungry all the time. If anyone struggles with sugar, like me I suggest drinking lemon water throughout the day. Bitters offset sugar cravings. Stay away from sweet fruits for a bit until your stronger and eat lots of protein and veggies at your meal. I'm getting back on track tomorrow. I give thanks and love to this sister. Hi I am a born again blood washed Christian and believe what the bible says about fasting. In the book of Isaiah 58 he talked about how when you fast that your health will break forth as the noonday. This simply means that your health will florish from fasting . Father God of Jesus Christ had it written in the bible that I would above all that you prosper and be in good health even as your soul does prosper. I loved your speech on one meal a day. I am trying it again for the umpteenth time. I will keep trying. My Lord Jesus Christ who is the Son of God lead the way in a life of fasting and consecration so I know that I must do the same.

I sincerely wish I would have heard these ideas 30 years ago. My whole life has been a struggle to maintain a healthy weight, and I've always been taught that the more small meals I eat, the more my body will metabolize. The primary problem I've had with that doctrine is that I have never been able to eat small meals. If I sit down to a meal, I compulsively eat too much. For this reason, I have subscribed to a one-meal-a-day plan many times in my life, and it actually felt pretty healthy. In fact, if I would not have done that when I was in the military, I may not have been able to maintain weight standards, and would have been discharged. But every time I did this, especially when I was young, there were people constantly in my ear telling my that what I was doing was bad for me. If you are told something enough times, you start to believe it. And I had been told this since I was very young. I really appreciate this video as I am trying once again to adhere to one meal a day. Thank you for this encouragement. I really need it right now.

      False teachings.
She is not a nutritionist, so she has no place to tell you it is a good idea to only eat one meal a day.
That is harmful information to spread to the viewers due to how incorrect she is.
In conclusion, eat more than one meal a day, science says that is what humans need to do in order to be healthy individuals.

Great video Sista Sadiyah... I fellowed this eating method from the time I was 19 to the age of 35. People could not believe I was in my late 20's and later on being 38 people would say I looked like I was in my late 20's lol! I am 42 and the only thing that gives it away is the fact that men in my family start greying early. I do 2 meals a day now but I have to go back to one meal a day. I am glad that taking those steps early has literally kept me strong. Meaning, I can do things young people do or move things without assistance (like the white people at work gonna help you anyway) Not as fast, but without any real need to do a lot of working out. I was into herbs in my teens long before I was a conscious guy and I don't need anyone to tell me what you are speaking on is 100% fact. I have never been a man who harped on looking a certain way, but some love to base things off how does it "look..." I have always asked "how does it work!" Good commentary!

Vern Emcee ....just make a video on your channel about your own views, clearly this message is NOT meant for you. people have been fasting for centuries outside religion and many tribes and nationalities still do this even now. its mostly an american phenomenon that lies to people and make them think that they can't survive without food that's why there is such an enormous obesity problem. it cripples people like You into believing that its OK to stuff yourselves with food the whole day and that fasting will cause death and malnutrition. most doctors and even "nutritionists" can't even give scientific advice on this topic and are more concerned with what big-pharma and big-food is saying.

Excellent commentary❤As a Muslim who follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah Ibn Muttalib peace be upon him.. He informed the Muslims over 1,400 years ago to fast every Monday and Thursday or fast at least twice a month or fast the days of Prophet David (Dawud) peace be upon him fasted every other day. As well, Muslims fast 30 days for Ramadan an additional 10 days for Shawwal, fasting for Arafat etc. Fasting is a shield from immorality and desires. Fasting cleans the spirit the soul as well as the stomach. Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said, " Diseases begin in the stomach." This is who Malcom X followed before his death May Allah grant him peace Aameen.

The term health and heal is derived from the same root as the word holy. Thank you for taking this stand that seems to be lost in many of our religious institutions. The terms of breakfast lunch and dinner are archaic cultural terms that are doing many of us in before our time. Excess food and meals are robbing us of our health , our energy and our intelligence. One or two meals, with high nutrient dense food and lots of water or herb tea throughout the day works wonders.

I usually eat two meals a day because I exercise a lot. My job at work is very physical. I walk or stand for 7.5 hours a day. On top of that I suffer from low blood sugar and low blood pressure. My blood pressure usually shoots up when I am emotional. For the most part my blood pressure has gotten as low as the 90s. My blood sugar stays between the 80s and 90s. It is very seldom in the 100s. I have snacked a lot. Usually, with sweets such as candy, homemade cakes and homemade cookies. Even after eating a full bag of that my blood pressure and blood sugar remains low.
