I really love it when underrated older actors get a huge gig and just take the role to a whole other level and make a shit ton of money. Bless Brian Cox, he so earned this.
When was Brian Cox underrated? He's been well known and loved in the UK for decades, was the first Hannibal Lector and was in a Woody Allen film, among much more.
I cannot recommend this show enough. and Brian Cox was born for this role, as much as he fits right into every warlord and Mycenaean villain he's ever been cast as
While I already knew why he isn't there in a long-announced Special.. The moment Mr Colbert went through his list of trite adjectives which included "morally-bankrupt" by faithfully going through his teleprompter, I felt his absence fully justified.
I'm so happy a DRAMA drama without any violence is seriously catching on and clicking with millions of people. It's catching on more than Mad Men did, feels like.
Hahaha no violence. Are you kidding? Maybe not a physical one but these kids have been abused their entire life by BOTH of their parents and as a result they abuse each others as well.
The mention of no violence is really odd to me- there's tons of verbal abuse, bullying, undermining that also gets physical (the slap scene, sibling fighting each other). Generally speaking the show is gritty (not to mention the event at the end of season 1) and with substance abuse. So while there truly isn't much physical violence to be found on screen, it is filled with tension, conflict, and violence which is arguably one of the reasons why it's clicking with millions of people.
Succession and Billions have been my favs over the last 6 mo or so. Binged both from season 1 through their latest season. Wasnt a huge fan of the last season of Billions but the return of Axe for season 7 has me back on board. Going to be a fun 2023.
Thank you Brian Cox, you are an evil bastard but that was a well delivered line. The hug was exceptionally well deserved as was the kiss for conspicuous service in lowering public morality. 😂

Someone help me out! Did Brian say “cunt” or “ twat?” Those are both words that are heavily used in Britain and Australia, but he is right - Americans tend to cringe when they hear the words out loud.
I wonder if Rupert Murdoch and his family watch this show? Or does it cut too close to the bone? A case of art imitating life? Great show with great actors though.
@@californiadreamin696 Wow! I didn't know that. Thanks for the information. I wonder if Shiv is modelled on Elisabeth to some extent? Sarah Snook is a wonderful actress.
Too close to the bone? Murdoch is basically the human equivalent of the biblical devil. A mere TV show isn't going to even raise his interest, let alone perturb him.
In Britian they swear like thieves and c u next time is one of those words commonly used. My daughter is American and has been calling me one since she was 16.
No doubt. I feel as though his characters tend to lean that way - internalizing all the tension around them whilst politely brooding; until the final act, wherein he explodes in a tempest of dignified fury and outrage.
Is everyone on this show British? Logan, for some reason reminds me of my grandma, who died 3 weeks ago. Absolute leader of the family. Tough, rarely gentle, but you know she loves all of you. She even wore similar sweaters. The family will never be the same without her.
The worst character definitely is... TOM! Logan is just an old-school, hard-nosed business mogul. Tom is sneaky, underhanded, back-stabbing, and was even willing to go to JAIL to further his own position and interests. He's the best!
Brian Cox is extremelly terrifying as Logan and then, he's just a little teddy bear when interviewed. Remarkable actor

Succession is what happens when you combine stellar writing with a superb cast

And editing and music and cinematography
He should do more cast interviews like this.
THERE HAS TO BE AN UNCENSORED VERSİON
He’s done it with the cast from the Big Bang Theory and Veep
this show is the anthesis of Ted Lasso but oh, how I love them both
SAME i'm so glad that now that one just ended, the other is beginning!! ❤️
Just imagine Ted and Logan chatting
Hear hear!
:(&):
The last few eps of Ted lasso got real weird. I think the show probably jumped the shark
So Kieran Culkin just IS Roman Roy then? Either then or he basically did this interview in character, which is awesome
I think he’s just sort of like that irl lol
No he's just roman roy but less rich and with the ability to have sex with his significant other
he reminds me of how rdj is just like tony stark
He's wallace from scott pilgrim brought to life. Which makes him perfect to play roman.
Igby goes down !
This is THE show, the writing, the cast, the edition...what a blessing

The best show on TV right now. I re-watch 4 times already and rewatching season 1-2 to get ready for season 3. Love HBO!!
Researching is a must!!! I’ve missed so much and I’m on my third go round. It’s so well-layered and smart and rich.
What we don't have enough of in our entertainment, and what Succession delivers, is a perfectly, gloriously executed farce. I love it.
Kendall is in the back listening to hip hop with massive headphones
all bangers all the time
I've waited so long for this return. Literally watched the first two seasons about 5 times.
2:10 I love how Sarah is kinda scared of Brian Cox just like Shiv in the show. Sooo funny

Yes. In Manhunter based on Red Dragon.
Such an underrated movie. Michael Mann
