That was such a good scene.
I've always enjoyed Kieran in anything he's ever done but the more I see him as himself the more I like him. He seems like a truly hilarious and cool dude, like the kind of guy that everyone wants to have as a friend. Quite the cool cast!

This show is actually great at revealing obscure aspects of human nature not shown on other TV shows. In Gerri's case it's how men of all ages are attracted to older plain Jane's who are very private and don't really welcome attention that is not attributed to their work as they are extremely professional, career driven, capable. loyal but nurturing at the same time! Gerri is so FN womanly and feminine and doesn't need to flaunt it which is why Roman is going crazy for her! She's like a velvet sledgehammer GMILF! :)) PS. And Tom would laugh and say 'And she knows where all the bodies are buried Greg!' :)) PPS. The show is so brilliant when they have such an entertaining character like Connor as the marginalised sibling. My favourite episode of all is S2 and E4 where they have the shooting in the company building & Tom & Greg in the panic room, Roman doing the Wayco Management course but the highlight was when Connor and Willa were the family representatives of the controversial former executive Mo Lester's funeral and when Connor delivers the vague eulogy that Willa brilliantly and spontaneously so as to deny the Roy Logan biographer any ammunition in her would be book! 'Mo has now passed on. We will all die one day. Mari,. Lester's wife of 15 years is now sad.' :))))
They are soooo hot together!!I really hope the romance is on for these two. It just oddly, wonderfully works! Also...Please let Roman take the reins at the company!!!!
Because he doesn't; he's working off the writers' talking points. He's engaging, but it's rare that he actually watches the shows he talks to these actors about. You can always tell.
I didn’t see a serious one, but I did notice they didn’t cut to cast reactions when Colbert played the scene of him being sick/angry as to why he couldn’t come. There was a recent bug magazine interview that said he is way too “method” and intense and hard to work with. If you check out his Emmy speech, when he beat Cox- you can see the vibe.

Jeremy himself said Kieran tried to make him laugh when they were filming a scene and he laughed but then he was upset he messed up a scene and broke character. I agree with Brian Cox who said he should be kinder to himself and the people he works with. I don't think his absence here had anything to do with that though, probably unavailable.

His character is the forgotten (pushed aside) son/brother. That's the whole point. When his dad remarried and had the other kids, they became the golden trio. Connor was neglected and left out.

This is a whole big deal about a show I refuse to watch. I do not find stories about shitty wealthy people entertaining. Maybe I am simply sick of seeing my family members portrayed as far more interesting than they actually are. Wealthy people have the same DNA as poor people. They are not special. They are far less interesting than not wealthy people. Wealthy people are about 1 thing: maintaining wealth. Story over.
Although I agree most your points, the reason the show works for me, specially, it's because they portray wealthy people as much worse than everyday people. That endless quest for power e control make them deranged, sick and completely unnerving people. You don't like the characters as much as you nauseous by how they talk and act. In the comedy scene you don't laugh with them as much as you laugh at them. Its more like Arrested Development than it's like Dallas or Billions. They make clear, exemple after exemple, how little they care about everyday people, how they can't relate to them, how they make decisions that crush thousands of people's lives and livelihoods in a wim. That said, this is the reason the show work for me, because they choose to focus in how sick this people are than romanticize their. But this doesn't mean it will work for you.
You are missing out. This show is a masterclass in filmmaking. The directing, acting, writing, cinematography, editing, music, even costume design, all of it is just perfection
