Who was the Soviet goalkeeper who let in such easy and soft goals? He must have been the reserve goalkeeper, a far cry from Yashin and Dasayev who came before and after him.

No doubt, in my opinion Germany's greatest side ever and one of the most attractive footballing sides in history.
Watching Netzer and Beckenbauer orchestrate proceedings and the fluidity of the German midfield and offense was absolutely brilliant to watch!

If this is a friendly I wonder what a real match would looked like in those times. What I see are players that actually love football and play every match like is a world cup final. Sadly I don't see this in this days. Today players care about money, tattoos and haircuts than playing football.
Friendlies were taken much more seriously in those times than they are now. Nowadays it's a chance to give debuts to umpteen players. That didn't happen then - maybe 1 or 2 new caps, but that was about it.

Совков, видно, спецом зазвали, чтб надрать прилюдно: Нападение у них позорным было, поставить юных:Блохина, Кожемякина, Байдачного и сыграть по достойней, так нет, а Рудаков вощще,нижние мячи не брал никогда; над опорной бей, и гол100пуд,, его звали 'чудаком' на др. букву болельщики. Защита- решето во главе с Ловчим. Короче поззэр полный. И на ЧЕ, чрез месяц Алеманы с Мюллером и Нэтцером , опять им треху сухую всадили, правда уже в финале ЧЕМПИОНАТА. Но по приезде домой Лёня их разогнал всех, хотя это ж было серебро, при первом участии всех сильных Европы. Me was 14y.

It was a fantastic side too with plenty of brilliant players - Mätthaus, Brehme, Augenthaler, Haßler and a favourite, Littbarski amongst others.
I personally prefer the 1970s vintage but to each their own, of course.
In Germany, those who are really into football say that the team from 1972 (European Champions) was the best German team ever.

In my opinion (and to many others, including German sport journalists) the best German team of all times is not that of 74 that won the World Cup but the team of 72 that did win the European cup.
The greatest German team of all time - and most Germans would say this - was the team that won Euro '72.
Germany were a good side then but not in the Brazil class with Pele, Jairzinho, Gerson etc. Germany still did a lot of sideways passing - no real moves to break the defense like the Brazilians.
You must be kidding . This game was in '72 . Compare now both team s from the world cup two years later and tell me Brazil had the better team.
@@axelscharf2415 I was referring to the Brazil team of the 1970 world cup. It would have smashed this Germany team by at least 5 goals. Especially if the referee was not European. Not even Beckenbauer and his mates could have stopped Pele etc..

Ich hab auf den Kommentar "fußballspielen konnte der Müller nicht" geantwortet. Er stand halt nicht nur vorne und hat die Dinger reingemacht. Er hat mitgespielt und das sehr gut, du Sandhausen-Fan.
