Greens juice is called pot liquor. Lol. I'm a license caterer, owner of a soul food truck... I'm from the deep south, born and raised. I've never seen anybody here add onions in their greens at least my family we don't. For seasons we just add minced garlic, onion power, salt, crush red pepper to taste and of course the smoked meat turkey, pork ;salt pork or ham skins). I personally love turkey tails boil it until the meat falls off the bone. Even so, my favorite greens are mustard and add one or 2 bunches of turnip just to add more flavor. I love your videos I've been a subbie for years. Keep it coming sistah!!😍

You are a God-send!!! I remember cleaning greens with my dad and siblings when I was little and my dad cooking them. When he found out about Glory greens, that’s all we have been eating for years. I always said I wanted to actually learn how to make my own so I decided to go to your page because I’ve tried a few of your recipes. The greens turned out bomb! Thanks to you, that’s the only way I’ll be eating them now!

Made my first pot of collard greens. Smoked pork has been my go to. Not anymore. These greens with the smoked turkey leg, simply delicious. They came out better than I expected ( being my first attempt at collards). I think these were the best collards I've had. Love your energy. Keep doing you Diva!

Monique, I never had collards before, but yesterday a farmer friend gave me 4 nice bunches for me to try. Naturally who do I go to to find out how best to cook them? YOU GURL!!!! I just finished them an hour ago and O-M-G!!!! They are the BEST green vegetables I ever, ever had!!! I confess, I did add a few more spices like a dash of curry, cumin & rosemary & a little bit of pure tomato juice.
Thank you so very much for your videos & instructions. You deserve to be on FOOD NETWORK!!

Just tried this recipe out and it was awesome! I'm on a cut right now so this is a perfect low kcal dinner, with the ingredients i used (used 500 g of smoked turkey slices that I cut up) the whole meal comes to a total of 789 kcal of which 41,4 carbs 116,4 protein and just 19,2 grams of fat and that's for the whole recipe, I only had half but it was more than enough!
Btw I saw your video about weight loss and counting calories it was a couple of years old but nowadays with myfitnesspal and apps of the sorts counting calories is actually pretty easy and I'll definitely be using more of your recipes during my prep!
