Want to buy one of the set

I take the stem off when I’m in the store! I promise you that I’m not paying for stems to throw them away😁HAPPY HOLIDAYS AB AND EVERYBODY!
Happy holidays, Ab You and your family
He said “Some of you are going to be GREAT at this” when rolling the greens … lmao 😂😂😂
😏😏😏😏
😅❤
I caught that too😂😂😂
😉😂
Caught, LoL 🤣🤣🤣
My grandfather used to do string beans, potatoes with sausage and smoked turkey wings ALL IN ONE POT.
He has a video for that too.
@@xMikeDezzyx421 nothing new there
Manna from Heaven ❤
I’m a 56 white lady named Karen, from California (no joke😂😂😂) however, I moved to Georgia two years ago. Thank you for helping me level up my greens. My Okie relatives cooked greens and black eyed peas my whole childhood so I grew and cooked them my whole life. I was definitely the only white girl doing that in Southern California! Love your channel. Subscribed!
The "I'm the one doing the dishes" with the paper plate was so real 😹😹 I do the same thing cause why not make life easier?😌
@@RoseWater31 EXACTLY 💯
Collard greens and cabbage is good together.
Yes they are
I need to try this.
Not as good as turnips and mustards are together.
@ I’m gonna try this combination tomorrow
@ being eating these for years.
This chef is such a great cook and a gentleman. I can watch him with my grandchildren and not worry if he'll say anything disrespectful. Thank you, Sir. 🫡
That Better Than Bullion is the answer!!! Been using it for years, there's nothing better!
I love your greens recipe. I live alone so I freeze the leftovers in quart baggies. It works out great for me! They taste just as good as the day I made it!
I’m with you on living alone and have recently started freezing my left overs but never have the greens. Some were getting wasted. It’s good to hear I can freeze them also and still be good. Guess I thought they would never hold up after being cooked. Thanks for the tip. 😊
Same.
@kennethvaughan8195
I currently have collard green soup, goulash, and chili bagged-up in the freezer.
@@Sarabelle58
A big bowl of any of those sure sounds like a delicious choice !🤤
I tried your gumbo greens recipe with cabbage. It was BANGING!!!
Oh I gotta go look for that recipe! Thanks for the heads up!
Mmmmmm. Good idea.
hes bout it on the real
The sound of those greens boiling making the pot shake is the most😮
Love me some greens! I also like the turnip, mustard, and collard greens mix.
I love them all.
Your recipe is Spot on ! A pressure cooker will cook those greens in about 18 minutes @ 10 lbs. pressure. I also save & chop all the stems. Michigan guy here that loves collards & grows them in my garden every year. They also do very well w/ Swiss Chard.
My family roots are from Southern Maryland in Charles County in LaPlata and my grandmother greens had Collards, Kale, Turnip, Rape and Mustard greens with neck bones and ham hocks 🔥🔥 and my family either used vinegar or Tabasco sauce
Thank you -as I was watching this, I’m thinking where’s the vinegar? 👍
Ham hocks? What is that??? And none necks from what? Never saw somewhere selling that stuff, exept if you have your own hogs or wild hogs😂😂😂😂😂
There is nothing about that dish that isnt amazing!!! Wow!!! Thank you sir!!!!
My pleasure!
WOW I NEVER THOUGHT TO MIX MY COLLARD WITH ANY OTHER GREEN, BUT I LOVE TO MIX MUSTARD&TURNIPS. THANK YOU I WILL BE GIVING IT A TRY
Looks so good AB. Can’t go wrong with that mixture. All we need is some cornbread. Yum 😋
🎉I agree looks great 👍😊
And a bed
I got to have a big onion with minds
🍁🍁🍁🍁Just this past Wednesday, I literally looked up an old video of him cookin collard greens, with smoked turkey necks. And here he is making ‘em! I will be watching.💯🙋🏾♀️🍁🍁🍁🍁
I like the idea of putting smoked turkey legs in collards.
It fills up the pot when the greens cook down 😋. I can't wait to make some like you do it!
I was looking for this recipe for a long time! I'm from Argentina and I love this comfortable food, soul food from Louisiana. Thanks a ton for all the recipes you make, you're a great chef! Hugs ❤
This was the way I've learned how 2 cook them as well. Thnxs great grandma who taught my mommy, who taught me. In my "Norbit" voice "Plz don't 4get that bacon fat" it makes a difference. This was heritage taught. Pay attention
😅❤
I'm hangry now. I may just make this soon.
I remember learning how to pick greens when I was age 7-8. I’m 50 now😊🎉
Those were the best days ever
@ yes indeed😊☺️
Took me a minute to get it.
@ Those pies are in the stove, smelling the house up!!! 🙌🏾 I added a lil brandy.. and the sweet potato mix was divine. Thank you..Happy Holidays!
I’m here for anything greens 🥬. Collards Mustards and Turnips 👍🏽. And don’t let there be any turnip roots involved , I’m happy 😊. In Florida and miss when the OGs used to make the run to Georgia and bring back good winter greens 🙁.
I love watching you cook! You are a true Southerner when you call the liquid "pot liquor." Nothing better than pot liquor ladled over good cornbread.
AB your cooking is like home. It all looks so delicious and brings back so many memories. ❤❤😮
I’m watching this and I feel like I can smell it through the screen!!!
I love greens. LOVE. And yes, the stems.
those collard greens looks so good
Well, I'm 71 and have learned something new with that hammock. Will be making yo greens for Thanksgiving. We'll done; now the Cho Cho now that's super Ole school. Ain't seen that since my older brother was living.😊
My Virginia grandma mixed her home grown collard greens, mustard greens & creasy salad with pork neck bones...So good. RIP
These greens are 🔥. Thank you AB. Your recipes are so easy to follow and I have "upped" my Soul Food Game 😊
Love My Greens!😊
You are rocking with these greens. I have made them all my life but this is some new stuff. I am cooking them now from your recipe and I am sure my son is going to love them. If my husband was here he would have me make them every day. He loved collard greens.
In our part of the world (Newfoundland, eastern Canada) we use salted beef to provide the flavor for our cooked vegetables, turnip greens and cabbage. Greens with veggies, mashed potatoes, whatever meat you like and gravy? Living large! Cheers!
Yes That Looks So Very Good & Delicious
Hey 🆎 i picked em from the garden. The best.
😋
I love the aluminum pans they save so much on clean up one of the best things ever invented!!!I use them at every meal😁😁😁❤️
I’m going to try to cook the greens like you. They sure do look delicious 😋
Never used sausage... but definitely gonna try... I use to do straight collard.... but now I enjoy a collard and turnip mixture
Hell yeah! My new favorite greens! Thank you.
im so eating Chipotle for thanksgiving. im over it!
I made for christmas! Everyone love it. I make every week. Love collards
AB!!! O.M.G!!! The greens were FABULOUS! Took them to our church pot bless today and they were GONE!!! No leftovers. Not even the juice, sir!!! This is my go-to recipe. Using the meat water and the layering you do with garlic and onions and seasonings is spot on. There were several people at our church that have never had collard greens before and they LOVED 'EM!!! THANK YOU AB!!!
I love that stream because it holds so much flavor
Stoppppppp it I've been craving green's for a month ❤❤
❤ I remember my grandmother would put the greens in the washer and then we destem them. Thanks for the memories AB.
Hey AB... Good ole' greens. Yummy 😋 Enjoy!! 🐞
Making this for a friendsgiving!!! Looking forward to it.
Enjoy!
Now we need that hot water cornbread to go with it
Man, everything looks so amazing. He can cook.
Thank you and enjoy!
I wasn’t hungry until I watched this video. Now I’m starving. Can’t wait to make this. 😋😋😋
Never had them w/ sausage. Will try it! That’s a meal! My mother use to have a “Greasy Spoon Restaurant before I came along” Her claim to fame was that “Cab Calloway” used to love her food!” I learned how to cook from her.!!One thing she did with greens is that she made “Steamed Cornbread Dumplings“ cooked on top of the greens. (She used the pot liquor from the greens mixed w/cornmeal, flour & baking soda & a pinch of salt) to make the dumplings! I never got the exact recipe (I was just a teen when she passed) but I’m sure you could figure it out! That’s some good eattin’!
Yes I love green's too as urs looks very good
Love me some collard greens and yours looks so good😊
Love the mixed greens no doubt!
I can hardly wait to cook these dishes soon. Thanks.
Lookin good, AB. I always add a lil apple cider vinegar to my greens and it gives it the best taste. Also, if anyone ever encounter tough greens or they take too long to cook, lightly sprinkle a tad bit of baking soda in the greens. That fixes it. Your greens will be so nice and tender. Don’t sprinkle too much though or you will have spinach greens.
I love your recipes, your demeanor and your delivery. Keep on cooking🙏🏽🙌🏽 Oh yea, and no cussing 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Hey AB my mom actually added chicken to her greens with seasoning ❤ when i was a young little girl ,i ate it❤ and it was good 😊❤ i haven't tried it in my greens ❤ but love the sausage i deal too friend ❤
Thank you Chef. I always enjoy your recipes and incorporate your ideas into my cooking. God bless you
My favorite turnip dreams with a big old turnip in them, but I also love collard greens or a mixture of both. Thank you for your work, bud.
Hello! Greetings from Michigan!! Your greens look so delicious! I can taste the pot liquor right now!!! That sausage, smoked turkey legs gives it some great taste!
I LIKE THAT ROOSTER 🐓 😊 THOSE COLLARD GREENS LOOKED DELICIOUS 😋 👌
Thank you. I love kitchen Roosters and obviously, greens, lol. I make them a couple of times a month. Vanessa, I appreciate the comment and support. Thank you and enjoy!
The stem has most flavors ❤ I love it.. I like to see how everyone makes theirs.. I know mine are Devine but I’m open to learn other ways
Looks fire Boss!! Never thought about boiling the meat first💪🏿💪🏿
You should! Use that for the greens and the flavor it gives!!!
I cook my collards with smoked turkey wings then add cabbage like the last 10/15 minutes since they cook fast😋🤤
👏🏾Great Receipe!!👊🏾
Great video. I like this format where you do real basic and then level it up to pro level by the end
Glad you liked it!
MAKING SOME GREENS TODAY. THANK U LOVE UR VIDEOS
I wish I could have some. It looks so good. 😋
AB, respect to grandma. Certainly will be doing it this way. I learned to use vinegar in my collards.
Yours looks outstanding as always 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks again for another outstanding recipe 🎉
I tried this recipe today and it was sooo good! Thank you!
I can't live without my greens and cornbread I don't understand anything else 😂❤
I agree with you 100 percent.
I made some greens in my crockpot this past summer and they were the bomb
I can definitely roll up some greens! I can even prep some collards too. 😂
Seriously though, his roll, then chop method is the best for ANY type of leafy vegetable or even fresh herbs.
I'm proud of you AB you doing good for yourself ❤. May God bless you and enrich you greatly!
I'm glad I found your version, because I have smoked sausage on hand vs neck bone and I forgot that could be substituted.
Fat bacon fat is also an element to clog the arteries. That’s what my family used and most of them died of heart disease. Let’s start to change the way we cook for the next generation. Thanks for sharing.🙏🏽
I love the way he addressed different alternatives for cooking the recipe too.
Yummy I’m making those this weekend looks delicious
Dad grew collards to sell to local grocery stores. I’m pretty sure he brought home as many as he sold. We had them constantly. I hated them. My brother took over the Thanksgiving greens after Dad passed, but It was up to me to cook them this year. The sausage and boiling down the meat in a broth is key. Looking forward to making them again and growing a row. Thank you for the instruction.
FIRE!!!!!!
I’ve never added andouille sausage before, but I’m going to try it. I always add a pinch of sugar to take any bitterness away. It takes it to another taste level.
Your food is so pretty I am drooling I am getting ready to go get my veggies from the supermarket and I am going to try out your recipe because it
it looks delicious
I'm going with your recipe for our church pot bless.
Loving the red rooster. I remember growing g up and everyone having them in their kitchen. Your video, now I have to get one. Lol. You validated it's still cool in a classy modern way. 😂❤
I'm going to try the combo of turnip and collards, I usually do either or but I bet it's killer with both. Thank you for the recipe
Thanks for the refresh . I don’t eat pork so I always use smoked turkey legs. I have to book into the seasoning that you used the creole seasoning. Happy cooking thanks for😋🙏🏽
Everything looks DELICIOUS!
I'm not a cooker, but you have made me want to cook.
I will try to cook several of your recipes .
Thanks for inspiring me to cook and for breaking down recipes and making them simple!😊
The Greens look delicious. I did some shrimp fried collard greens before. I use broth also
Que rico se ve el collard greens.
Good looking greens! I love Better than bullion for my greens and dressing. It’s a game changer.
I prefer mustard and turnip greens, with bits of turnips in the greens. That’s how my mama made them and it’s the best in my opinion. With some cornbread and hot sauce. That’s some good eaten. I’m definitely adding andouille sausage from here on out. ❤
Love this AB. Looks delicious. Now I have a new way of cooking my greens. Thanks for making it look easy and simple.
Appreciate your videos my brother 💯
I’m proud of u AB. You motivate me. Cooking =❤️💪🏾💯
Thank you fam 🙏🏽 👍🏽🔥🤤
Collards are so good, but I do love them turnip greens too. I'm the only one in my family that likes it spicy, so I usually have my own personal bottle of hot sauce to add to my bowl.
Stems are good fiber nutrients i always add them. Did this recipe, good one.
Im watching while eating my thanksgiving night "soup" which is brown beans slow cooked with a ham shank with some collard greens mixed in. So so good. Needed a simple supper after the huge thanksgiving lunch - or "dinner" according to my husband. Definitely doing them like this sometime!
Sounds great!
For me, I love collard greens but always need a little pepper to kick it off. If I am feeling extra excited I add some hot sauce but overall....gotta be the meat. Gotta have it. looks so good
