The top six scariest things in Minecraft 1: cave sounds 2: The warden 3: discs 11 & 13 4: creepers 5: endermen 6: Nether ambiance 7: other things within this comment thread that have not been listed on my list
Theory: Steve is the sole survivor of the crash. Disc 11 and 13 are recordings of him leaving the crash badly wounded, which is why you hear coughing. When Steve returns to the mines or caves. He gets vivid flashbacks of the crash. It would also explain why there aren't any others with Steve.
@@sleepy_b0i I think being in small cave is more scary because you feel like if something is gonna attack you you cant escape because there is only one way out.
I think the scariest thing about these sounds is the fear of the unknown. Like, when u hear some shit like that, YOU try to imagine wtf did that noise, and thats why it makes us so anxious
Imagine if you were the one who was in that crash. You didn’t die but went into a coma and are now having visions of being in this blocky world. These sounds in the caves are occasional memories flashing in your mind.
Reminds me of the cut impact time sounds in Burnout 3 that also have a dark theme to them, Burnout 3 could’ve been one of the first horror arcade racing games and this was back in 2003.
the only survivor of the crash was supposedly the man in the "11" disk which is actually supposed to be a continuation of "13" which consists of the original cave sounds in the actual order they are supposed to go in so this isn't really a mining incident as much as it is "HEY JOHN MIKEY LEFT THE DOOR OPEN AND A BUNCH OF MOBS GOT IN"
oh my god, i remember playing on my xbox 360 when i was 7. i was alone home, and i decided to play some minecraft. i load a new world, get wood, and go mining. i found a cave but i heard a cave sound from 5:27, turned off my xbox right after this, and didnt play minecraft for the next week.
Edit: I fgured out the name, it is called the "Stone Tape Theory" check it out since it is interesting. I can connect something to the crash theory. There is a theory in real life that I don't remember the name of, where when you are in a haunted area that could also possibly be abandoned, and the backstory is tragic (murder, suicide, etc.) the walls record those or hold in the sounds, and basically releases them at random intervals. Which can maybe explain stuff like voices, walking, and other paranormal sounds in real life. So maybe that could be happening in Minecraft. Some "recordings" could be of the crash, some could be of mobs dying, and some could be of players dying. But that's just something I thought of.
How could a minecart crash be fatal? I mean besides going off course into a large drop, I’m not too sure. I don’t think they were that fast. Just curious.
@@approximated_nerd Well there’s many things. Such as a creeper exploding a top floor of a mine into the bottom. Or just the breaks or whatever they had failing causing them to smash right into the wall. Or a head on collision with another cart or something else.
6:45 the chattering is probably an unknown creature that came across them causing the crash or they possibly came across a warden and it killed them while they either tried escaping it or got ambushed by it
The discs (11 or 13 or both) are probably miners recording there final moments before death or that screaming at the end of 11 is probably the warden or an unknown creature and another theory is the enderman getting killed the enderman was recording us the player and we killed it causing the disc to be broken. My theory is we are a survivor of a minecraft crash caused by an unknown creature and we are trying our best to unveil the secrets of this land we are on and survive while being hunted by something.
First time I saw a spider i jumped so bad and tried to pause the game. The first time I heard a cave sound I was terrified and didn't wanna touch the game again, or go into caves or dark areas. I don't remember how old i was but I was pretty young and man it made me fly in creative a lot of the time from the ground just because of it lol.
On the Topic of Cave Sounds: Markiplier had his editor Lixian slow down and reversed the cave sounds and then overlayed Siren Heads noises and it was terrifying.
The actually scariest thing is having your volume all the way up then going past a ocean monument and crapping your pants from the elder guardian, that crap is terrifying
I honestly just love how Billy completely strays away from the UA-cam algorithms to pursue his interest in horror. Instead of streaming popular games (i.e. Among Us), he stays true to his channel and delivers amazing videos that scare us all crazy. I don't know if he'll see this, but keep up the scares, Billy!
This can be very true from fact that Steve suffers groundhog day, eveytime he dies. He wakes up on his bed,he remembers and knows how he died. But yet can't actually die and always wakes up in his house,on the bed only to die and return. The sounds can possibly represent steve loosing his sanity knowing that he can't actually die, being paranoid of when he think he'll die,but not.
In every abandoned mineshaft there's this one room a large square room with a dirt floor that's mostly empty I like to imagine that's the spot where the creeper blew up and many of the miners died
Legit, Mojang was evil adding this. Plus, with the underwater noises and the new cave sound coming in the cave update, Minecraft might as well be a horror game.

My theory is that disc 11 Is a person slowly crawling to his insanity bc of ambient noises haunting him where he eventuslly loses his mind starts to run everywhere before accidently falling into cave and die
i was too scared to venture into caves because of those noises when i was 7, thats why i always just strip mined (i always had less cave sounds doing that)
I remember when I first heard one of these. It was like a Minecraft jumpscare, for a split second I thought mine could be haunted Ö Also love the new text for patron names at the end!
Fun fact: the most 76% relaxing and 24% scary is angelic humming BUT: The 90% scary and 10% relaxing is deep ringing, which plays in dark deep area caves, the rarest cave sound is known as creeper breathing.
Correction: cave sounds appear when a dark area is nearby, you don't have to be inside the dark area. This can be tested by searching for a large cave close to the surface, then standing on the surface directly above it.
This may sound dark but I feel Minecraft is in some sort of post apocalypse area. This would explain the weird villagers, every being else abandoned, and mobs
Crash theory: The cave sounds are echoes of a tragic past accident where several minecarts crashed into each other, killing numerous miners In-game: Minecarts harmlessly bounce off of walls, mobs and other minecarts

Is a person slowly crawling to his insanity bc of ambient noises haunting him where he eventuslly loses his mind starts to run everywhere before accidently falling into cave and die
The cave update is coming.
Oh god, not more cave sounds
- sorry but it's just so FUNNY WHEN YOU START SAYING MINECRAFT
Hearing these in old Minecraft as a kid WAS TERRIFYING
I'm hurt seeing him mine the worst type of wood with a wooden pickaxe
0:54 You scared the hell out of me, I really tought that someone was knocking at my door, and even the walls, outside the house. Nice effect man.
i was too scared to venture into caves because of those noises when i was 7, thats why i always just strip mined (i always had less cave sounds doing that)
At least you can turn off the cave noises
Why didn’t you just turn off the sound lmao
@@Person-ex4bx 7 year old me's iq was lower than a potato
I didn't even mine. I just had my older cousin do it 😂
Me: watching this video
UA-cam: MeDiTaTe WiTh YoUr ScReEn LoCkEd
I remember when I first heard one of these. It was like a Minecraft jumpscare, for a split second I thought mine could be haunted Ö
Also love the new text for patron names at the end!
Wait. For me this vid was posted 38 seconds ago, but this comment to me is 44 minutes old? Bruh?!?!

This is one hell of a anomaly
cave sound 19: my theory:
the freaking predator comes out on nowhere and kill them all case solved
Lol
Fun fact: the most 76% relaxing and 24% scary is angelic humming
BUT: The 90% scary and 10% relaxing is deep ringing, which plays in dark deep area caves, the rarest cave sound is known as creeper breathing.
Correction: cave sounds appear when a dark area is nearby, you don't have to be inside the dark area. This can be tested by searching for a large cave close to the surface, then standing on the surface directly above it.
Yep the cave sounda sometimes plays on my house for some reason
@@ShameTooShame There's a cave underneath your house
Billy: **mentions Herobrine**
Me: bruh.
Cave Sounds have literally never scared me and I don’t know why.
0:53 I hate you. I genuinely thought something knocked on my wall and I jumped.
We hate you too
Omg same i had earphones and i got jump scared
4:04 billy making a house is probably one of the best things I’ve seen today
these sounds are from the players abandoning minecraft and nevercoming back IDK
This may sound dark but I feel Minecraft is in some sort of post apocalypse area. This would explain the weird villagers, every being else abandoned, and mobs
I think about minecraft as sort of a castaway thing, you just wake up in the middle of no where, no other people, just you, and you have to survive.
Crash theory: The cave sounds are echoes of a tragic past accident where several minecarts crashed into each other, killing numerous miners
In-game: Minecarts harmlessly bounce off of walls, mobs and other minecarts
billy: subscribe or herobrine will haunt your minecraft server
me: thats what we want, right?
Will be funny xd
i absolutely lost it when he started chopping wood down with a pickaxe
Billy Styler: Proceeds to break tree with a pickaxe
Me as a Minecraft player: Ah yes true horror indeed
I love how sometimes the most simple of games have the most terrifying secrets
This man can make anything scary than it is.
There is something MUCH more chilling that hau- -Hershey’s add plays-
