- Laura Marling on the Steve Show on BBC6 Music, 10 February 2008, being interviewed by Stephen Merchant and the gang. She's promoting the release of her first album, Alas I Cannot Swim.
She played a couple of songs but unfortunately the source I got the audio from cut them out. Marcus Mumford is there with her, and he speaks up a few times.
One of my favourate musicians being interviewed by one of my favourate comedians, how cool :)
I thought this couldn't get any better, then we get Marcus Mumford as well.
i am already calmed down from these few days of laura trance
its funny how she mentions marcus her drummer. when now we know him as marcus mumford from mumford and sons!
I know it was a crazy year in western society and all things economic were going to shit, but I really miss 2008! Russell Brand on Radio 2, Stephen Merchant and Russell Howard on 6 Music, it was the golden age of now super-famous comedians on radio!
Oh YEA he's talented!!!
It's funny how she says electric guitars are more of a third album thing as a kind of joke, but a few years later on her third album, she really does ('The Beast').
"1990! That's disgusting!"
HAHA! XD
Hahah "my drummer Marcus" and look at him now...
Laura is way out of his league, he is also shitty for not standing up to Winston now
electric guitar for "third album" she predicted the future!
"There's a lot of terribly bad laura marling songs out there somewhere about boys and LONDON" how dare she! London Town is one of her best songs! haha.
@JHDELIVERY22 Yes. At first I thought it was going to be a troll video because it seemed like such a weird combo, but nope.
Who arm woow.
