Got my 2022 Street Bob a couple weeks ago. Got off my 94 Lowrider that I bought new. Not going to do much to it. A basic Harley Davidson tune, a 2 Brothers 2 to 1 pipe, some lightweight travel gear, (saddlebags) I have Harleys detachable rack. May go to a little bit lower bar, my Lowrider had drag bars a week after I bought it. The bike is great. I never was a Twincam fan, but I think Harley has a winner with the M8. ☝️🎃 Your absolutely correctamundo my dude… no tune necessary for slipons. Thunderchief Garage here locally (all ex Harley mechanics and some US marines) told me that with my last bike (Harley 48 1200) … said unless its a full exhaust swap and intake and all… no tune necessary for exactly the reason you said… ECU will compensate. Im now on a 2021 StreetBob 114 myself.. all orange 🍊 and blacked out one 👍🎃 I actually won the dang thing at the Halloween Party here this year… but because I won it… I decided to go ahead and tack on some upgrades from Harley itself. And they told me because the StreetBob 114 already has a high capacity air cleaner on it stock… if you do a full exhaust (not slip ons) but full exhaust, you do need a tuner and a tune. Im getting Vance & Hines short grenades full exhaust on it, so they are installing a Screaming Eagle tuner and running it on the dyno. 👍 Loving the seat you put on yours man. Im at a crossroads between that one and the Drag Specialties Predator 3… I had a drag specialties seat on my 48 and loved it… very high quality as well. So… kinda hanging on that one and hadnt made a decision yet.
I almost got the predator 3 myself. It honestly came down to the saddlemen’s aesthetics. Congrats on winning that dude! The orange is a super rad color
Hey man. Great video. I have a question regarding the led turn signals. How did you install them? did you have to convert the internal connection in the actually bulb housing? I have the same as you but the connectors are different. Thanks bro
That’s a good looking bike.. I just traded my street Bob and some cash for a lowrider st… But I in a way wish I just used that cash to upgrade the Bob..
What are some issues that you had or may happen by not having the vented oil stick? I've never heard of that and now you have me interested lol. Love the bike bro.
With all the newer harleys the crankcase pressure is sent through the breather system out of the heads and into your air cleaner. Then sent back into the combustion chamber to be burned off. Creates more carbon buildup on the piston. It also just feels more restricted while riding and can contribute to oil sumping. The vented dipstick allows the crankcase to vent to the atmosphere. It gives the bike a whole new feeling too.
This blockhead video explains what’s happening rather well ua-cam.com/video/Bq6LSZp0qMI/v-deo.html except their solution in this video is obsolete as they only equalised pressure, Getting a vent to atmosphere is good idea to prevent the carbon build up on your pistons but sometimes messing with pressure depending on what exhaust you run can cause the engine to run off, if you do it right, the vented oil system is better and will save your engine in the long run
Man, they've been venting the crankcase that way since the Evo engine. Maybe the last couple years Shovel engines. Not 100% positive about the shovel. It's been many years since I've seen a stock Shovel. But Evos on vented up through the heads into the air filter. Worked for Harley Davidson for 19 years. Seen all kinds of goofy shit...

Watch the small screws (studs) in the pegs. They will back out on you. Might want to get a bit of locktight on the studs.

I didn’t have to change anything. The connection for the lights that I got were the same as the stock connector

How did you install the vans grips with throttle by wire? did you just cut stock grip off stock throttle tube or get a new throttle tube?
Hey man, I just cut the stock rubber grips off and scraped the glue off. Then used an air compressor to slide the new grips

No it really doesn’t affect the filter itself all that much. Goes straight into the intake. It’s just not great for the engine
