- Author Douglas Murray has expressed his distaste for American political scientist and activist Norman Finkelstein, saying very few societies have “produced someone as sick.”
“Shame on him for this, what we’ve just heard was holocaust denial in real time,” the renowned journalist told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.
“He pretends we don’t know what happened on the 7th of October, we do know."
Mr Finkelstein called the October 7 attacks by Hamas “heroic” in a social media post hours after they first took place.
“If he doesn’t believe the reports he reads, and if he doesn’t believe all of the international media, he should have come with me this morning to the pathology department here in Tel Aviv, where they are still trying to work out who the bodies are that are arriving.”
“It is disgusting that Norman Finkelstein uses his late parents to defame Israel, to pretend that Israel are the Nazis in this situation, all societies produce sick individuals, but very few people have been produced one who are quite as sick as Norman Finkelstein.”
Douglas Murray maybe completely correct about the woke ideology; but I’m not going to listen to someone who supported the Iraq war, that killed over a million people, when he calls anyone else a sociopath.
Also worth mentioning that Finkelstein has the same views on the woke ideology as Murray.

Piers a few minutes before this ended his interview of Finkelstein on a rather good note, in which he thought it was a good conversation and was looking forward to having Finkelstein back on the show in the near future. This means that Piers saw Finkelstein as a psychologically normal person who could hold a good conversation with him. Then he had Douglas Murray on the show who then had nothing else to say apart from calling Finkelstein a "sociopath", a "psychopath", and a "Holocaust denier". No comment from Piers Morgan, nothing.
Yeah a little bit of pushback would've made Piers look a bit more credible.

The Qur'an clearly states that Muslims are to declare war and fight anyone who does not believe in Islam - not because they have been provoked to fight or in defense of themselves from other people’s groups, but simply to fight and kill anyone who do not believe in Allah. Not only does Allah declare this, but Muhammad also says under no uncertain terms that unless people declare Allah to be God and perform the prayers, they should be killed. Many Muslims find this violence repulsive and so leave religion and flee toward Atheism, but religion is not the problem Islam is. and Atheism is not the solution.

I have seen Finkelstein in like 10 different interviews this past two weeks. I have noticed his manipulating tactics,. everytime he talks to a black person he pulls out the black riot/uprising, with a Canadian he referred native amricans, which is a hot-guilt topic there, he charmed Pierce with the Susan Boyle story etc... My grandpa was in concentration camp, when he left he did not rape or kill babies. Not debating him is an admission of defeat. There are no excuses for refusing to negotiate or debate, there is only fear of losing. If Douglas and I deeply respect him and, refuses, he loses. What Douglas has become since this conflict started has ruined his reputation, even if you agree with everything he says.
Frankenstein has admitted that he is not perfect and that he was wrong, he admitted that he spoke too early without all the information, but he admits that he will not correct that as it is a historical record of his mistakes. That takes balls even if you disagree with everything he says.. Douglas should do the same. Not debating is not moving forward and it is an impediment to peace.
Murray is fine, Finklestein (who in some ways I do actually like) is a pariah. To some extent yes that it unfair, but there are quite a few valid criticisms of him and there’s a reason he’s burned bridges as his book stated.

That would be a good start then they could move on from there.
Maybe then they could talk about the real reason for the conflict like the Gaza gas field and who is trying to take total control of the trillions of dollars in gas.
They could go back and forth about how Hamas takes advantage of the average Palestinians and then they could get to the root cause of who was the major supporter of Hamas since inception.

At some point in the future, maybe decades, the truth always comes out. When it does, Finklestein will except where he's wrong but I'm not convinced AT ALL that Murray is prepared to do the same. His argument for why Gaza isn’t a concentration camp is that Israel removed settlers (which they had to because settlements are illegal), and Palestinians elected Hamas. Neither statement disproved Gaza isn’t a concentration camp.
After the elections, the US ordered Fateh to start a coup and promised to support it. Hamas fought the coup off. Afterward, Israel imposed a blockade. Thus began the Palestinian’s long stay in a concentration camp. Israel’s justification was that these were actions needed for its security. What’s a concentration camp? Preventive confinement rather than confinement after having been convicted of some crime. Therefore, Norman’s statement is accurate. Hundreds of people have escaped from concentration camps before. That's an easy thing to search for and verify. But what one does after escaping doesn't determine whether it's a concentration camp.
Douglas offered no counterargument and is ignorant or lying about the facts. Saying you don’t believe all of the unverified statements of October 7 isn’t the same as saying Jews weren’t murdered in extermination camps during World War II.
