I think what's important is to teach student how to be ready in life as early as highshool...
    1. How Money works
    2. Taxes, Bills, Interest, Mortgage, Debts
    3. Human Rights, Basics about Government
    4. Basic Safety in an emergency
    5. Basic First Aid
    6. Basic Stock Market, Investing
    7. Importance of saving and preparing for retirement. Not just relying on your children for food and resources.
    8. Tips on becoming financially independent
All of these are much more important and useful than most of the subjects that are taught in school.

Nowadays, we just basically gave up on our own development and just kept implementing westernized education culture. Although yes, it helps in understanding and making international relationships easier, it doesn’t go more than that. We are being educated as workers, not creators. Office jobs are the only considered real jobs. Art, dance and singing are considered as a dead end. There is productivity, but no creativity.

Hinid kasi equality kailangan kundi equity. Iba iba tayo mga passion eh.

Homeworks are important he said to have communication with your parents but he does not know that we can have self study. Why give homeworks to students when you know they're just answering them and forgetting them. I see some videos of how a Japanese student lives and that their way of studying and living are flexible compared here in the Philippines. Many things are taught in school and will be just forgotten. The things that the Education department in the Philippines should teach are those that will correspond to their course they want to take. Not load them with unnecessary knowledge that will be just forgotten and not be applied to themselves and their lives.

In today's world having high grades is useless 65% of jobs don't require a college deploma or degree, some things that you learn in school will be useless when you start working & schools only makes students stress because of the grading system while filipino parents still believed that education is the key to success, you can have a good high paying job without graduating to college well some jobs still need college degrees like being a doctor, engineer, scientist, etc.

It would be better to have students and industry combined together a theoretical and practical curriculum must be enforced that way after the students graduate internship or apprenticeship is no longer required because they have undergone the actual practices in their job descriptions. No need fo civil service examinations that delays the employments of the graduates. They need only upgrading courses and seminars for a couple of days and weeks. Civil service Commissions must be assigned for the issuance of licenses not with examinations since the graduates are already qualified for the jobs.

Well after chatting with a filipina some years ago I wonder if students in the Philippines are being educated properly. This girl I chatted with a couple of years couldn't describe her home town correctly. I asked her to tell me something about Iligan, and the only thing she could tell me was it's a big city, it has a civic center and it's the provincial capital of Lanao del Norte, well with a population of 340,000 Iligan would be considered a big city, but the Mindanao Civic Center is located in the 2nd Class municipality of Tubod and Iligan hasn't been the provincial capital of Lanao del Norte since 1977 when the provincial capital was moved from Iligan to Tubod. Since Maria was born in 1989 wouldn't she learn about Tubod being the provincial capital in school? Or are there any other reason why Maria would have the belief that Iligan would still be the provincial capital?

Late answer, but local history and politics is generally not a thing in Filipino schools. That and because social science adjacent subjects are devalued. Some of it is the incompetence of teachers who think history is about memorizing dates, names, and places.
Students are also disinterested because they're disconnected from the stories taught. For instance, the discussion on Philippine history revolves around things that happen in the National Capital Region and neighboring regions. That's it. People in the Visayas and Mindanao area don't get to hear about their stories and experiences in class. It's like if all of American history was just about Washington DC and the state it's in.

    School should be
    - *Only Monday to Wednesday*
Why? People's mental health and physical health is more important
    - *Homeworks/Assignments should be ban*
Why? Because students already spent 7-8 hours at school we don’t need more works at home.
    - *Class start should be started at 7:30am not 6:00am*
Why? Because Not all students houses are close to the school ang iba ay nagising Ng 4:00am or 4:30am dahil babyahe pa sila Bago sila makarating sa eskwelahan at nawawalan kami Ng Oras upang makapag exercise.

His first words were kinda meh, we dont need programs, we need a whole change on the philippines education system, they should get advice on real students that using their perspectives on how kids learn better.
Ofcourse he would lie or talk about good things about philippines edu because he's on the tv 🙄
They should focus on letting their students get a feel of having a job like letting them experience, an example is the "job hunting season" in japan, in philippines they only teach their students about "having a job" or talks about rules or what they should do without letting them experience doing it, if they let them experience having jobs, they get experience and get used to it, some students get lazy because they think they already know all and know what to do, and some arent socially good so they decided to not work, thats why philippines' employment rate is lagging behind other countries
