  • Bruce and I head off into our own woods behind our house for a lockdown camp in the rain. I used Amok gear for this camping trip. What a disaster as usual! Cooked up some great ribeye steaks though and enjoyed a few tasty beverages and some delicious rum. Hope you enjoy!

Things I have learned from this vid.. 1. Amok Hammock WHY??? .. 2. The five second rule when you drop food defiantly applies to camping.. 3.Give my dad a hug (great advice).. 4.He can make a pancake its not a fluke when he does make a good one .. 5.Tents Rule... 6.These vids are more entertaining than most stuff on TV on a friday night... don't change a thing and good luck with the lock down and hope it ends soon..

Brought a tear to my eyes mate, seeing you get emotional, I was close to my dad as well, he passed away on the 29 Dec 1985, to this day, (and I am now 12 years older than him), I still miss him and cry, he will always be in my heart, as your dad will be with you, think of this Tony, every tear is a celebration of every year he shared with you, in memory of all our dads(andrew mcguire 1940-1985) and Edward.

Matt Posa can be a little bit gross at times, and his videos have those unexpected loud spots, but he is so uplifting always makes me laugh because he’s himself…. I also love the fact that his videos are long…
However I started out with a few others and then went to Joe Robinet and I still love Joe too… I’ve been following him for a few years, I will say though that since he moved to Canada his life is certainly going through a lot of changes and so have his videos since Coivid …
Tony you are really really wonderful to watch… I will remain loyal to the two I mentioned and the others also but pardon me “others “, For the past five days I have been watching Tony almost nonstop lol… I am seventy years old and I absolutely love your videos … WITH RANTS …. Thumbs UP

@@jeastwood7358 I agree. I love both Tony and Matthew's methods. They are different in some of their content but you can see that they are both genuine and make no apologies for the way they want to do things. I like and watch others too from time to time and I appreciate what everyone has to offer to the UA-cam community, but they are my favorite ones and I never miss a video. And Bruce and Monte are pretty amazing too. :)

The best time I had camping is the last time when we camped on the pacific coast close to where I live. Do to our stupidity, we were robbed blind by raccoons as we forgot to put away our food. The winds were so bad that our tent collapsed on us 8 times while sleeping. We gave up and slept well anyway as the tent was beating us in the back and head. Somehow, our campfire suddenly lit on its own. Due to being heavily tipsy, my friend fell forward while sitting in her chair into the campfire, burning part of her chair. All night she sat in her burned chair with soot all over her face. Yes, I did take pictures of her. The campers next to us were probably sitting at their RV windows the whole time watching our shit show thinking we probably never camped before even though we have been camping most of our lifes. GOOD TIMES though. What an adventure.

Hi Tony, it has been great running across your vlogs and the freshness of just being real that you bring to each vlog. It was very heartwarming to see your true emotions come out about your dad and your feelings for him. Sorry for your loss, my dad was a great man also whom taught me all I know about camping and traveling. I love camping and some people think because I'm an older single women I can't handle it but are totally surprised when I do. I agree with you that every trip comes with the oops moments and why hide them from your public. I love that you keep it real. I love how you explain your likes and dislikes of the different products you have chosen to use. I Love the way you love taking Brucie with you and you let him be what he was created to be. I have a German Shepherd/Husky mix that loves the rain while my pit/terrier mix like the dry weather. Sorry your on lockdown better days to come.

My dad is 84... he finally retired last year after working 67 years as a janitor. Now he is bored to death and wants to go visit my son in Texas so believe it or not, me and my daughters are taking him in October to go camping for 2 weeks with his grandson 😆
I'm 49 and I'm tellin ya, that old man runs circles around me 🤣

I'm so amazed about all the things you are able to pack in your "bottomless" backpack, even Bruce's stuff! He's such a well behaved companion and you are very entertaining, in a relaxing sort of way!

I've watched a few of your videos, and I'd like to say what a genuine decent human being you are. My heart goes out to you for the loss of your father (I lost my mum 19 years ago next month). I'm sure he's super proud of you my friend, and if you're ever in the South East UK I'd enjoy a camp with ya. Peace ✌

Thanks so much for sharing these camping trips with us. No matter if it’s right outside ur door or a ways down the road. Because I’m sure tht they’re helping ppl around the world who have been locked inside for so long. However, I’m thankful tht we’ve never been locked down like tht, and I’m in the country where we weren’t affected in tht way. Happy camping 👍🙏🐶🧡😎

And...there goes Brucie. Chewing sticks into fire 🔥 size pieces. He "aint nothing if not a real dedicated camper hound dog" Elvis would be real proud of him, like we all are. I always get the urge to give him a head scratch through my tablet screen. Anyone else do that? Just had 3 days of thunder ⛈, rain 🌧 and lightning in our little corner of South Africa. Really cool lying in bed listening to the pitter patter until the wind (so not into wind) shows up. Springs easing in but Winter pushes its luck. So love watching this one man and his dog 🐕 camping adventures and the cigar and beer. Really relaxing and enjoyable. Enjoy!

My worst camping trip was in a tent with Mother and siblings (3 sisters 1 brother ) late 60's... it stormed so bad , it was as wet inside as out... we were afraid the tent would blow away. The next morning we run around in knee deep mud looking for stuff we had outside. Turned out to be a great time... everybody helped EVERYBODY. We made so many new friends,GREAT muddy time LOL bwahahaha

I may have the answer your looking for whether Eskimo or Inuit is the proper term.
Eskimo lately has been considered a derogatory term, and seldom used in polite conversation. Inuit refers to indigenous people of Alaska, Canada, Greenland and Russian Siberia. Alaskans often refer to themselves as Inughuit and Yupik. Canadian Inuits are also referred as Inuktitut. Greenland has 3 separate Inuit cultures known as Inughuit in North Greenland, Kalaallit in West Greenland, and Tunumit in East Greenland. And lastly in Russian Siberia the Inuit is also referred to as Yupik. Love your channel, love how honest you are and forthcoming in how you feel and what you think. I lost my mom 10 years ago, and my baby daughter 31 years ago, it still upsets me to talk about them, that never goes away, but it does get easier to deal with the pain with time and remembering all that we had with a loved one. And I know that they are with me in spirit every day of my life. Love the way you care for your best buddy and 4 footed friend Bruce, such a beautiful dog and well behaved. I will continue to wait for new episodes and replay the old ones. From Buffalo New York, USA

To go off what you said. There is football team in the Canadian football league that was called the Edmonton Eskimos. They changed their name this year to the elks. For that reason.
