Very informative. I picked up the Del Rio dark smoke for my 20 Street Bob after researching the Road Warrior and other choices. I'm the type who does a lot of around town riding here in Philly and wanted to be able to easily pop off the fairing. Also great to ride naked on hot days. Cost was less than the Road Warrior and the bike looks more normal without the fairing since the headlamp isn't extended.

I saw that you can get lowers but then I'm going to have to install a crash bar, if done properly I think the crash bar would be very Minimalist... Ride safe Brotha.....WHAT!!! BAD BRAINS!!! @@jasonsanderson9385 What's happening Jason? For sure man, I'm pretty sure the lowers from JD Customs would clear most crash bars - I would contact them just to make sure - As for the BB, gotta keep that PMA and Ride For Light! Let me know how it goes!

What's your take on the difference between a road warrior and a t-sport fairing? I kind of like both of them and leaning towards the t sport, but i'm undecided, I just might end up with a Memphis shades del-ray or del-rio For the time being so the wind does not beat me up

Both fairings are Iconic. Can’t go wrong with either.
How does Jenny feel about the differences I. Protection from a passenger’s perspective? Is there a noticeable difference from the pillion?
Riding in the 50’s and below, I greatly appreciate the Ultra Classic’s batwing fairing.
The gauntlet, I traded off the Sportster for a Pan America Special. Had the Gauntlet but didn’t install it. Included it in the deal and the dealership gave a sweet deal to a local female rider to mount on her Sporty. It looks badass on the older Sportster 1200.
She hasn't felt any difference between the two interestingly enough, which makes sense because in either scenario I am blocking most of the wind from here
Your boy should get a Memphis Shades quick release fairing. I have the Gauntlet fairing & I do my city riding with no fairing. Then I throw it on when I'm hitting long distance.

Can you take the fxrt fairing anywhere to get installed? Like a Harley dealer or do I have to take it to a custom shop
I have never heard of a dealership doing that for you, unless it's somewhere like Laidlaw's in California who is known for that type of thing
It's honestly not that terrible to install if you have any mechanical abilities. It took me a few hours and I'm far from a mechanic

Agreed. I ran with the Del Rio on my 20 Street Bob for various reasons . First I wanted the bike to look normal when I ran without it on, which is most of the time here in Philly. Extending the headlamp makes the bike look silly without a fairing. Second it's much cheaper than the total cost of the Road Warrior.
I find the wind protection for my kind of riding, which is very little highway, to be very good. It's the perfect height for my 5'7" size as I can see over the dark smoke.

@@FXDLSBrooklyn I did have a tSport fairing from Original Garage Moto but that’s a huge disappointment and can one build on your own from Amazon and a few other parts for far less. Now I’m going with Denton fairing crossing my toes and fingers this works or else I’m done buying and supporting small business in the Harley-Davidson’s community. Spent to much money for crap! Live and learn
