I don't get the wide bar thing on light xc bikes. I cut my syncros down country cockpit from 760mm to 680mm. You never need the leverage or stability that you would on a trail or enduro bike.
Looks like Dylan has the weight and aero edge but Adam has the motor! That's not taking anything away from Dylan who has mad skills.- Wishing you both success! (fwiw Love both Landos. I'm building one too this year- Adam's trad blue rules imnsho! lol

Dylan has been learning about cycling training through me throughout the years now.
He has seen how wrong he has been and how right I have been.
This is why he knows that quality over quantity is better.
If Dylan would save some brain energy he puts on components and marginal gains, he could put that on pedal strokes and win.
