During our PDI check of the Scott Scale, we noticed the stem bolt cover was cracked. The cover isn’t integral to the handlebar or stem’s structure, and is easily replaceable. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get a replacement ahead of filming the video.
1) XC bike should be tested with clip-less peadals; 2) Previous generation also had HMX-SL version, was discontinued; 3) New frame probably does not have less material, weight savings come mostly from frame hardware.
Those breaks are over 1200$…. Those stupid wheels are for sale from Scott for 5000$… and 1500$ crankset…. It’s definitely a dumb build. I don’t know why Scott still uses those wheels. It's an older Mudhugger Front (long), which has been replaced by the EVO model. www.themudhugger.co.uk/collections/front-mudhugger-mountain-bike-mudguards
BMC TwoStroke is slightly heavier, but the top spec is less than half the price. Also, the front triangle is supposed to be made in a single mold. That's not special. Bonding the two stay-sections to it, is how every run of the mill hardtail frame is made.. How is that a feature?
No RRP is a lot more, my mistake, I google the price. Well I paid a little less but liked it a lot, and would recommend a Scale if you want a fast XC orientated bike, and I think that's a good price

Nope. Worse yet, if you break a spoke you’re done :( if anyones got deep enough pockets for these I’d say go custom build your wheels with Berd spokes. You’ll have a sub kilo wheelset for under $2k

For some technical courses even Nino is not using this wheels , but using silverton 1s insted. They are not so stiff like this ones.
Don’t be fooled by Alex’s enduro-looking outfit and flat pedal vibes. Although clip pedals and lycra are more befitting of the bike’s intended use, he’s a monster on the trails and spends every waking moment of his life hammering to the top of the hills, despite donning baggies and flats
