Well, SteamOS/HoloISO is based on Arch, so what's working (or not) now is likely the case with Valve's OS. Still worth testing though. Hopefully, some of the driver issues will be worked thru soon.
About to get one of these. Saw your videos and I was sold, man. Was really interested in running linux and since Ryzen 6000 is so new I was worried about drivers on linux

Overkill. The added performance in games and productivity wont be noticeable. Youre better off putting that money towards the inevitable win max 3 which will be an actual 1080p gaming handhelp beast.
I bought a thinkpad t14 G3 with the ryzen 6600u, and sadly GPU performance is 2 times worse and extremely stuttery on linux. Obviously something is wrong but after trying EndeavorOS, Fedora and even Ubuntu, with different drivers the issue persist.
I'm thinking of pledging for one. I've seen enough gameplay to know its more powerful than the Steam Deck which I have. What I want to know the most is the battery life as most steam deck owners know, the battery life is not great when playing popular steam games. What is the play time for games like the Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Borderlands 3. How long does it last just web browsing and playing UA-cam videos. How long for office applications etc. A comprehensive battery life test would be much appreciated. Thanks.

No OS I know of stores fingerprints outside the device itself. I don't have a fingerprint module on my laptop, so I use a very short user password so I can easily use sudo for administration tasks. The downside is that someone could easily guess it if they steal my laptop when it is powered on. (If it's powered off, I'm fine; I have FDE with a much longer password.) However, if I had a fingerprint module, I could register my fingerprint in PAM, and then I could easily use a longer password as a backup. It's all local to my machine, only my machine has the print.
32gB is absolutely insane and completely unnecessary. Unless you want to edit videos and huge photos on this thing, there's 0 reason to have the 32gB version
32 gb is more than enough enough for gaming. However if u want future proof. Just buy the 32 gb model so it will last a bit longer without being extremely outdated
Thanks for the great info, I do have a question that I hope you will have the time to answer. Could you check if the "exposed" pcie 4.0 m.2 slot on the back is connected to the cpu or the chipset, and if it is in its own iommu group? I would love to get this and be able to connect a pcie 4.0 gpu via that slot and the adt r43sg 4.0, and even possibly pass it to a vm if needed. Could also be cool if you could do a comparison of usb4 egpu vs pcie 4.0, especially frame times that would feel like micro stutters.
Not sure about jury-rigging an eGPU thru the M.2 slot, but an eGPU thru the USB4 definitely works - ETA PRIME demonstrated that in his latest video with a new Win Max 2 6800. Awesome little machine.
