  • Join us for the Ultimate Ho Chi Minh City Food Tour featuring hidden street food gems that will leave your taste buds craving for more. From bustling streets to Michelin-starred restaurants, this culinary exploration showcases why this city is a foodie paradise. Hit subscribe and get ready to embark on a delicious adventure!
    Pho Minh - Michelin Bib, recognized by Michelin as one of the top 3 pho spots in the world, breakfast only.
    Bún Thit Nuong - Nguyen Trung Truc - definitely one of our favorite spots of the day! Delicious egg rolls, bbq pork, and noodles topped with delicious sauce! Sitting on tiny purple stools surrounded by office workers on their lunch break, this is THE local experience!
    Quan An Co Lieng - we saw this place on Somebody Feed Phil, and were so intrigued! Bo La Lot is beef wrapped in betel leaves and grilled! We've only had betel leaves in India where they are known for the fact that they give you a bit of a buzz, so we were so curious about how they would be in food! Turns out, they're delicious!
    Hu Tieu Hong Phat - for Hu Tieu. This Cambodian rice noodle soup is served with a twist of Saigonese fusion here, and Michelin has recognized it as one of THE TOP dishes to try in all of Vietnam.
    Bui Ven Street - I didn't do my research on this one haha, my friends told me I had to go get a drink here, and I was picturing enjoying a cheap drink on a tiny stool surrounded by locals, but THIS is Party Central, this is the Vegas Strip, this is Broadway in Nashville, but I was determined to find myself a local experience, and against all odds I found one! Dau Hu Bui Vien (Dau Hu Co Thuy) selling this delicious sweet tofu dish! When you see a huge crowd of people sitting on tiny stools, you know you've found something magical, and this is by far one of my favorite treats we've found so far in Vietnam! It really is true what they say, the closer to the ground, the more delicious. We finished the night at Lost in Saigon, experiencing a small slice of party central while enjoying live music.

She hopes to encourage others to follow their maddest most adventurous dreams, whatever they may be! For Ivan, a former NASA engineer, it is creating an engineering product that will change the world! Travel and food are two of our biggest passions, so on this channel we will be traveling the world, and staying awhile to experience what life is actually like living other places. We're excited to have you on board for the delicious, culture filled, madventurous times that will ensue! Let's madventure! xoxo

    Hu Tiu is a Chinese noodles dish, the name originated from Wo-Tiu noodles, Fujian region in China. In Vietnam they have to call Hu Tiu Nam Vang or Phnom Penh Hu Tiu to separate from Hu Tiu My Tho, a province in Vietnam Mekong delta. Hu Tiu Nam Vang was brought over to Vietnam by Chinese Cambodian, Hu Tiu My Tho was created by Chinese Vietnamese living centuries ago in My Tho and the Mekong Delta. If you were to go to China and tried Wo Tiu you will see the similar and original version of Hu Tiu. All the food looked delicious, I'm craving the Bun Thit Nuong. Have a great trip

      I LOVE that!!! In America they always have a "breakfast menu" with just eggs, pancakes, and stuff like that. I definitely prefer the Vietnamese way! Eat what you want when you want!

    fish mint leaf is not supposed to taste alone, It's used to enhance the flavor and add more of a herbal for good health (like a medicine)

    • @letsmadventure
      @letsmadventure  5 днів тому

      Usually we tried it in Banh Xeo or Bo La Lot, but I liked the flavor better before adding fish mint. That is good to know that it has health benefits! Thank you for sharing!!!

    Big fat thumbs up to you guys for trying out food in small eateries in VN. I like that theory @3:40 the closer to the ground the better the food 🙂
    I also think the same as you on the "prepare your own food" aspect with VN food. With noodle and rice dish, you can add pickled items, different side sauces. With the wrap dishes, you add and subtract what you want so from the first wrap to the 3rd wrap, you created 3 different flavors/tastes. I get that feeling like I'm the cook/chef while in reality, I'm just enjoying the work of others 🙂It makes the eating experience more fun.
    Thanks for taking the time to film and edit and post the videos. I know it takes a lot of time from your travel.

      Thank you so much, this truly means so much to us! That theory definitely holds true! Ho Chi Minh City is so full of delicious small eateries (with tiny stools haha)! I love that, it's so true the "feeling of being a chef", but without any of the hard work! That is such a perfect description!
