I loved Gorillaz the first time I saw the music video for Clint Eastwood,
    Immediately bought the first album,
I'm 16 Now and still a diehard fan,
Have ALL of their songs on my phone,
Its all I listen to All day,
    Love Gorillaz Man.
    !Gorillaz for Life!

Ike Turner's solo on this song is just mind blowing. Sometimes I have trouble believing that one band can make so much great music and combine such diverse sources and collaborators. Beautiful.

It's not the quality of their songs, or how good they are live, or the whole style they have wrapped around them. Which is in it's own all very well.
It's how broad their style is that stuns me every time again.

Of all the songs on Demon Days, I love this one the most. I'm a writer, and the thought of "You're in love with him...I love you...what are we going to do?" Always inspires me. I don't care if I heard it wrong, either, in case someone wants to put that up.

@gtaaddict94 That's what's great about Gorillaz. The style changes, but the talent is there and obvious in every song. Some of them have extremely deep meanings, while the rest are simple and fun. To top it all off, we get surreal animation in a style that we don't get to see much these days.

They weren't around 15 years ago, and their song Feel Good was a hit in 2006, being played on the radio and some other big places too.

@acidhead2011 @acidhead2011 They still are around and creating music, which means YES they are today's music. Also part of todays music, The Black Keys, The White Stripes, Arcade Fire, Rumspringa, The Steeldrivers, The Strokes all great bands and part of TODAYS music. Music today is not crap, it's just what gets put on the radio is. STOP LISTENING TO POP MUSIC CUZ THAT'S THE TRUE CRAP.

@jizmacdacusha Have you even seen any of the latest concert vids from their wrold tour? They've put together a whole band and put on a more traditional type of show now. Instead of the holograms or videos of the band we actually see Damon and co. playing the songs themselves. Of course they've kept a lot of the trippy videos. xD

most of the middle aged and old people would mistaken this song to a classic rock.just like my dad he asked me the title of the song and who's it by XD.try to ask some old people to guess who did this song.i love the wah wah guitar effects and ike turner's piano solo

Every Planet We Reach Is Dead conjures up hazy, holographic images of MTV in the mid-90's, ancient starships drifting in the void and romance within the cozy confines of a half-buried space colony on a dead, sterile world. And the big hook near the end...brings up memories of 2001: a Space Odyessy.

I've always loved this about the Gorillaz. Whenever they sing a song, there is always something deeper profound meaning to it. They don't just sing just to do it, they sing to give us a message. Unlike today's music, all about sex and killing and... I dunno... Busting people windows in their cars and umbrellas... -_-

Yeah thats true, but they announced that Gorillaz would release another album. You can probably count on it to be their last though, Jamie Hewlett complained at how he was sick of drawing the same characters. He said that for the same reason he'd give them another makeover, like the one we saw between the 2 previous albums.

People would rather have the definition of a song already laid out for them, rather than having to do research and/or figuring it out. The songs on the "charts" are the ones that are listened to/downloaded the most, due to this fact. However, they usually don't have the soul an artist should have. They're all about money, not spreading the word about what's really going on.
    Gorillaz does.

This song is about the studies that scientists underwent in the last 5 years.
They found that any signal we could send to any planet outside of our galaxy, would reach the other planet in such a long amount of time, that either the other planet, or our planet would have blown up already.
Where stuck with earth guys, unless they sent a message 20 million years ago, where stuck believing where the only planet.
That's what the songs about. Feeling lonely, you should apply it to your own life.
