Yo. It’s been 2 whole years since you made this comment. How you doing?
the breakdown where noodles guitar is supposed to be in the “without noodle” version feels like an itch you can’t scratch,, that shit physically hurt me
Yeah my ears are now dissatisfied
not to bad, kinda sounds like an old hip hop mixtape
Los bajistas son muy necesarios para que la música suene bien...
Sin un bajista la música es rara ... VIVA LOS BAJISTAS ❤️
SI SON MUY IMPORTNATES...
Without Murdoc, the verses are weird
Without Noodle, the chorus is weird
Without Russel, the song is ruined
Without 2D theire is no song
Without 2d is just the instrumental
All versions are good
With out 2D there is no gorillaz
@@leahfreeman1443 Yea i agree, all of them has been replaced before except 2d
without murdoc: *I feel no happiness inc.*
without 2d: *It feels weird inc.*

without russell: *i feel really sad inc.*
one of the saddest things is hearing this without Russell
Without Russel: Feel a pain in my chest Inc.
everything is awful inc.
it feels weird without any of them
Hey, i'm from Oregon! :)
No murdoc : LED lights with no color
No 2D: burger with no cheese
No noodle: plushie with no filling
No rustle: guitar with no strings
That's oddly specific but true
Rustle 💀
@@rubyruerue rusty

I like the unintended implication of this that De La Soul were willing to perform without any of the band members EXCEPT when 2D was gone and they refused.
Im so surprised by the fact that Noodle really helping Murloc to sound to the rhythm, without her, bass falling out of beat
In the song it's actually off beat, noodle just helps hides it better
murloc mmm yes
there's a girl??? I don't hear it at all! omg
@@evs396 Noodle is the guitarist
well, to be fair, they are ll fictional characters, the real people behind Gorillaz are one musician and one visual artist...
Idk if it's just me, but my brain automatically fills in Murdocs part...
for me my brain more automatically heard 2D singing
me too
@@ralszzey same
The bass is literally there, I can't unhear it even if you straight up erase it
Same, one of the most memorable bass lines ever.
Murdoc Niccals - bass, drum machine 0:00
2-D - vocals, keyboards 3:44
Noodle - guitar, keyboards, vocals 7:35
Russel Hobbs - drums, percussion 11:24
TY
technically the acoustic guitar part shouldn't be a thing with 2-D missing bc in the video he is playing it.
@@kanoaikawach noodles playing it is she not?

It’s incredible how without drums this song is just everyone going at their own tempo lol

No Murdoc: feels strange and broken
No 2d: Instrumental
No Noodle: sounds fine and normal but you tell somethings missing
No Russell: no rhythm and beat
This right here is the only right answer!!!
Well we have 2d clapping in the background
Without Russell reminds me of when you're practicing a song on guitar and somebody just... starts singing.. when you were only practicing... but now you gotta commit to it and it sounds scuffed because theres no percussion
This is awesome, this proved how important EACH member is to the song. They all play their own huge role which usually goes unoticed, especially RUSSELL!!!!!!! crazy man
without russel feels like there’s gonna be a fire beat drop any second
Murdoc is the meat, without him you really notice how the meal isn't as fun without it.
2D is the seasoning, if it's missing you got the whole thing there but it's no fun
Noodle is the Cheese/Tomato/Salad, you really start missing it the more you eat it
Russell is the bread, everything falls apart without him.
You season your sandwiches?

every part of this song is so iconic. it took a good 30 seconds for me to realize murdoc was missing, my brain filled the bassline in 😭😭
ME TOO
Me, as a bassist, need to say without Murdoc in the closiest thing i can describe a Mandella Effect
Maybe it's because we're both bassists but I feel the exact same way
@@evsanger I'm not a bassist but I definitely agree

Russell missing is more of a dramatic effect drums are important beyond important

This is that week where all the mebers kept getting sick and had to stay home.
They didn't feel good
Underrated reply
Why did I wheeze at this-
when noodle is left out it feels like a demo of the song, just like before they added that one thing to make the song how it is now.
The version without Murdoc sounds just like how I used to hear it. Somehow, I never noticed the bass guitar and always thought it wasn’t there. Of course, now I hear it, but I just don’t understand how I didn’t notice the iconic bass line of this song.
You realize that this song is good when even taking out an instrument it still sounds good
But it still doesn't feel the same
@@Mmanneater no shit
Not good enough
except for russel
I like it without murdoc or 2d but without the other two I just don’t like it
All of them just feel so wrong, principally without Noodle
Except for 2d because then it becomes a instrumental lol

Russel is the most underrated member of the band, without him half of the tracks would not be as good nor as acclaimed without him.
i hate the one without russel, it just sounds like the drums are gonna make a sudden/epic come in but they never do
Murdoc feels so out of it when Noodle is removed for some reason, I never paid that much attention to the guitar here but it actually really ties the bass into the song.
Apparently they had the guitar and bass a fractions of a second apart from each other and the drums so when you take one out you can really hear the difference
the song without Russel is offkey as hell and feels so empty, just goes to show how much he is essential to the band, and why they need him. he's like their backbone, and it sucks that he's so underrated too.
(edit: 530 likes, holy mackerel no wonder my phone's buzzing so much. I'm glad so may people agree with me
Edit 2: how has this gotten 800 likes??)
To every band the drummer is essential, I am a drummer and whenever I practice a song I search up the drum-less versions and compare them to the original, It always sounds like ass without the drums.
@@bananawithaname9711 it does fr, I kinda want to learn drums and bass but I have problems with sensory, but Ima give it a shot
