Because of so many different combination of EQ's and other controls I will just present a few different sounds that I prefer on passive and active basses using both clean channels (Classic and Modern) as overdrive channel.
Neumann U47 Fet Mic used for test. No D.I. and no D.A.W. spices added.
For live test with a drummer, only room mic is used - Beyerdynamic M160 Ribbon (set 170 cm from the floor and 1.5-2.0m from the amp and drums).
Audiointerface - Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

Great demo, wanted to hear how a 1x12 sounded by itself. Sounds great. As i want to add a cab to my 2x12 8ohm.
This is the best demo of Fusion head on youtube. Every other demo has most if not all the voicing filters engaged at once, and the official GK demo has the mid scoop engaged for almost the whole demo. As somebody who almost never touches a voicing filter, it's nice to hear what it actually sounds like flatter.

it is that GK sound! Preamp seems very versatile and the thing looks small for its sound.
Thumbs up for mic-ing the cab instead of going DI (though that can be useful, too) and for recording with a live drummer.

There's this church bell sounding low end on this one Justin Chancellor song. I always thought it was the best sounding chorus I'd ever heard, turns out it was a GK thing. Cool!

Great video and great playing! I just bought the 1-12 Neo IV cab to go with my GK 210 combo. It's loud now!. At 31 # it's easy on the back!
Thank You 🙂. I had a 210 combo, and 212 combo. Both were loud enough without the ext speaker. However, new Fusion 112 needs ext cab, but my back doesn't.
@@ObraBass What I especially appreciate about the Neo IV cabs (as well as combos) is that they sound great, are really well constructed, built like tanks, very powerful - and very light. I don't think you can find a better rig without going boutique and spending a lot more money for only a very marginal improvement.

@@ObraBass I wonder if your new Fusion Neo 1-12 with a Neo 1-12 cab might be the ultimate small/light - yet powerful - rig. I'd lone you mine to see, but I think the commute would be impossible...
Very good demo. I just bought the legacy 800 and I love it. I'm waiting on Sweetwater to get some more 112 neo cabinets. And I love that postmodern Bass. I actually have a real 59 precision bass that's a sunburst.

Great demo, very helpful! When you are playing your Stingray fingerstyle, how do you like your Stingray's pre-amp set? I like the tone you are getting there a lot, and I am playing an '06 Stingray 4H through a GK Fusion 410 combo. Thanks!

How do you like the Fusion compared to GK's straight solid state amps?
I played almost all of GK amps and heads. New Fusion with tube preamp is one of the best! I just definitely need an ext cab for best performance. I would never play an solid state again next to a new Class D.
