I like the hospital in the middle of the city. I might suggest a park or a construction site to add green or to reserve a space for future buildings. Looks great. 😅😊
Looks great! Feels like theres so much space. My only suggestion would be to separate Diagon Alley and put all the buildings together in a row rather than an alley. It feels like such as waste that you can't see it as its so tucked away, and its a common thing that most Lego City UA-camrs do. It's a real nice set and a shame you never get to see it. It could make for a nice row of old buildings, maybe even with a small park in front of it? I bet it would even work well next to the Tudor Corner building in terms of theme, but would require some alteration to the base plate of Diagon Alley. It's looking great though!
Awesome progress! Now that the trainlines will be disconnected, are you sure you dont want to convert the upper line to powered up? A point-to-point system with the coloured tiles would be great for you! I also think a tramline going through the downtown area would be much more logical than one around it, with a couple of stops and more room to put buildings towards the back edge. of the layout/. All the best!
The tram needs to weave through the center, past the sqaure. maybe bring in in between the hospital and vertical car show room. Trams a need many little stops, not just a big station at either end. The monorail could go round the back where the tramway currently is. The avengers tower station could be converted to a monorail station. The hospital needs to have a smaller foot print.... and one more floor added
I know its a lot of work, but you gotta do MILS for a city. Its makes such a difference, especially the roads. Plus it makes it easier to move the modulars around.
near lax airport, there's an in-n-out burger that people sit at and watch planes land and take off, maybe ya could do something like that, it would look good
Looks great -- even of this is a provisional placing. I think -- like in real life quality-of-life vibe municipalities -- functional order and open spaces, designed for humans (minifigures are humans) is important. Overcrowding is okay of you purposefully are going for it: I have a crowded area -- basically "cyberpunk region" that tends "dystopian" at its far side.
Greetings Alex, Before it very crowded and zero space for future sets. We ALL know, there will a new set year and the year and the year after, etc, etc... lol, and 2 to 3 years should be another corner set to help fill in the spot you want. I like the waterfall look, you might have to move the cottage/house to make it work, if possible to take the upper river straight to the (blue felt access hole that acts like a lake) so the river is coming from somewhere. Yes the airport shuttle monorail could run above the downtown train/ street car service. So you can connect amusement park to airport. I still not sure 2 things, 1st The hospital if that is the best or ideal spot. 2nd I like the park in front of city hall, but is it possible to make it slight smaller it might give future real-estate for future sets coming in the future those spaces could be green parks for now. Otherwise you would need to bring the construction 🚧 crew to move the buildings in the future. At the End, ALL IS good I'm Happy and Thankful to watch you on your journey and letting us to have encouraging positive thoughts to guide in positive options. ALL the Best, Chris from Ontario, Canada
Looking great. Maybe some city sets with open back can temporarily cover the back of Diagon Alley 😊
Not a bad idea, but I do expect good ideas from you! lol. I'll see what I can find that would be a good fit.
When Alex placed his hospital: wow I have some sPACE. I love that your took out some of the trains, it makes more sPACE for Modulars.
I like the Up house ‘floating’ mid air. Very creative
New city looks great! Really happy to see this update - just the video I needed today.

Good call! Thanks
Looks great! Hope you feel better before the holidays!
The hospital looks great in the downtown!
Thanks, I think it will look better once we get some of those details added
I like it so far. It’s more spacious.
It looks amazing but it’d look better with like a brick or rock wall where the grey cloth is showing to make it feel more layered

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see if an opportunity opens up to display them as you recommended.
Looking great keep it up
Great Progress Alex!
Here’s a MOC idea: you could have an official Bricking News broadcast building
Ah yes, I think this needs to be done.

You got me! Just last night I ordered some Powered Up parts for the trains. I think that will be a great solution. Thanks!

Cool idea. I'll see what I can do with that.
Oh the firehouse. Wow is me. lol. I think the upright tower is too small for that spot. It’s too narrow
The botanical garden with some extra animals? Like a small zoo or so.

I dare u to run a train off the tracks in the downtown lol

Would be a challenge for u to put the train track around the room on the walls

Thanks for all the suggestions. There is much to think about with this, that's for sure.
Wish lego would to an inverted corner (if that's right) to help with city building. But I'm sure the cost would be at least 300 ish at that point
will you ever transition into mils it adds so much more detail
You can get off brand but still good road plates on Amazon lol
Would you updated to the new road plates
Honestly, I would switch the Diner and the Doctor Strange's Building.
But whatever will you do, it looks amazing.
I'll give it a shot. I am not sure I tried that.
Is the x men mansion going to be added to the downtown
It will be added to the city, but I don't think it will be downtown.
That giant blue tower is a Lego set?
The Avengers Tower is a set, but it is on top of a MOC platform. The building in the corner is a MOC.
@ thanks
Hey Alex can you do a ranking of the Lego modular for 2025?
Hmm, I think it might be time for one, but I admit it might be good to wait for next year so it will be number 20.
Do 90% did what I asked that's a pretty good setup I think you should keep it that way
